Toy Fair 2013 Nuremberg
banana machine gun is about the only good thing on he set, IMO
It's got a lot of nice parts in azure, plus gorilla minifigs in 3 colors.
i'm not a MOCist, so parts don't really matter to me, lol. Gorilla figs are nice, yeah, but a set needs to have more than just minifigs to make it good, IMO(thank goodness i don't like Star Wars). the set itself it pretty lackluster, it looks too chunky and stiff, and while the face does resemble gorilla nicely, last i checked gorilla's faces aren't where their upper chest should be, lol
I had literally zero interest in this theme until I saw this picture

It's a mech piloted by gorillas. Modeled to have features that represent them, sure, but again - it's a mech. It doesn't have to look exactly like what inspired it.
It's posed pretty bad in that pic, so it's hard to judge by that; it's feet are backwards, among other things. Anyway, it's not my favorite of the summer sets, but only because it has such stiff competition. Lion Temple FTW.
The display for the Gorilla Striker was superb though—it was motorized, unlike any other sets on display. It wasn't motorized with Power Functions though, but the arms swung, which was pretty cool.
This is the best set ever.
