I think I'm only one who read the news fully...

Hostess is shutting down, but other snack companies can, and probably will buy the rights to make them nasty treats.

They ain't gone yet.

But those 18000 jobs are gone for good and for a very petty reason.

Yeah, but you can't do much about them unions.

It really makes me sad that all of them got fired just because of the union.

To be fair, there's not much the union could do. If they acquiesced and went back to work, "liquidation" would quickly become a standard threat among companies facing a worker's strike.

It was a stalemate, and neither party gave in. If anything, they're both to blame.
