Assassin's Creed 4
AC4 Assassins Creed Pirate Pirates
Hopefully the naval battles are at least as good as AC3's, because that was truly a highlight for me.
And yay pirates?
Does seem fast, particularly the fact its labeled 4. I was expecting a Revelations or Brotherhood type thing for 3, before 4 came along.
Darn, no female Assassin.
Great...because pirates were subtle and stealth orientated, right? And that outfit looks great for blending into one's surroundings...It's just not about the stealth and subterfuge as it was in the first game anymore. People need to accept that. That said, you have to fit into your surroundings anyways - if you're with a bunch of pirates, look the part.
Maybe I shouldn't be cynical but this direction doesn't fill me with too much optimism.

Though I agree, I was hoping for a side game - this setting would have worked perfectly well with Connor even.
Darn, no female Assassin.Well, there was Liberation...

At which point they've lost the point of calling it Assassin's Creed. Even discounting the fact this doesn't seem to be your hitman kind of assassin anymore and is instead the canon's idea of a cult, it still doesn't fit with what the Assassin's were. One of the commands of the Creed was that an Assassin must "Hide in plain sight" which I don't think pirates were particularly known to do.
If they called it Pirate's Creed, then that'd be grand. A spin off would have been a good idea for the series. This just seems silly to me. I mean, I'll buy it anyway. I might like it. I'm just airing my doubts right now and they've been growing in an abundance lately.
And then eventually learnt some humility and went underground, realising that they can't preach freedom and turn themselves into a figurehead at the same time. By the time of ACII (Which was the best of the bunch, in my opinion), the Order had gone underground and were fighting in the shadows whilst living very ordinary lives. The Templars always knew the Assassin's existed, they just didn't know where to strike.
Yawnnnn. I see this and all I hear is MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY.
They're as bad as Call of Duty now. I mean, I'll get this when it's cheap, but I'm not particularly excited for it.
