Rambling

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Real Life, Random, LEGO Mar 23 2013 · 36 views

Hey, folks. I thought I would pop in today to share some thoughts that have been on my mind lately. No doubt this will be a very boring for you folks to read. But hey, this is a blog, so I might as used it for its designed purpose. :P

Alright, so to begin, I guess I can mention that I got LEGO City: Undercover recently for the Wii U. And what do I think of it? I honestly loved it. The humor is great. The story & the voice acting involved is pretty good. Really everything about it seems good to me.

Well, then again, there is one thing that I don't like and that is load times (They are pretty bad. Luckily they don't happen too often.). Although I think Wii U itself is more at fault than game itself. *shrugs* Hm...I also don't like that I don't have means to save on my own really since it kind of annoying having to depend on the game to autosave things.

As for work related stuff, things have been pretty good. I am still quite busy with quotes, which is kind of good (Since quotes means we could be getting orders for those parts, if our prices are viewed as fair enough to the buyers. And that's obviously a good thing because orders are the life force of the company.). Although I definitely can't say I am fan of working with quotes since they kind of trapped me at my desk for hours on end and there generally pretty dull since most of time, I don't get to model anything in SolidWorks. That and front office has a habit of doing things with quotes without telling Engineering department first.

But hey, they got to get done and I honestly trust myself to get it done correctly more so than some of my co-workers since I never cut corners in anything that I work on. And beside, my boss is trying to gradually get me out of working on quotes since he does feel my efforts would be better serve releasing books, especially considering we got a lot of jobs now coming in.

Although it would help if my friend would come to Engineering department more often since I am supposed to be training him to take the reigns for model based definition quotes. But unfortunately he still has a lot of scanning to do in the Inspection department, it seems. *shrugs* But yeah, that sums up work in a nut shell.

*yawn* Well, it is kind of late here, so I guess I can call this an entry and posted it. I mean yeah, I didn't really ramble a whole lot here, but honestly I am pretty sure you folks have better things to do with your time than read an entry from loser known as JMJ here. So yeah, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day. Night, BZPers.

Random Life Update

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Real Life Feb 28 2013 · 53 views

Hey, folks. Its been awhile since I post an entry here (You can blame working full time for that. And well, I am not having the best of time managing my free time. Sorry about that.), so I thought I take a few minutes to post a short update entry of sorts.

So yeah, life been treating me pretty well lately. I can't complain really. Well, I can complain a little that my job has been a bit stressful lately. Enough so, that my latent nerves issue is starting to make a come back since I am having a lot of stomach problems lately.

But eh, I am alright. Its nothing to get to worry about. I am just getting stress out a bit by some of pressure that I am feeling from dealing with all these quote jobs (Seriously I had like 2 quotes left last Saturday and by this Monday, I got 38 new quotes that are due in less than a week [Thankfully I do have a bit of help and we have knock it down a bit since then.]. Argh...).

But anyway, enough work talk (Since after all, I doubt you guys are interested in hearing me talk about work here. *shrugs*)....Uh, what I should talk about here? Well, I guess I could mention that I named my first three familiars in Ni No Kuni after Spike (from MLP: FiM), Momo (from Avatar: TLA), and Tingle (from the Legends of Zelda).

I also unfortunately hadn't read much else of Hyrule Historia since my last entry here because well, I kind of worried it will tempted me to read Skyward Sword spoilers and I don't want to do that since I feel it will spoil my experience of the game (Which speaking of that, I really need to get around to playing that again.). So yeah, no Hyrule Historia until I beat Skyward Sword, which I am probably not going to get back to playing that until after I beat Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Speaking of that, I am currently on chapter 9 of that so far and I must say I am liking it mostly. Oh, and for those wondering, I am playing it on easier difficult mode since otherwise I am going to throw my 3DS out a window since I absolutely refuse to let anyone die. So yeah, I am wimp. Heck, I even put on my streetpass card that I am a total loser. XD

Well, it is getting late, so I better head off for the night. Apologizes for short and boring entry, folks. I hope you all are having a good week. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Good Night, BZPers.

I got the things! :)

***

Hey, folks. I just thought I pop in really quick to tell you that I just got my copy of Hyrule Historia today in the mail. Of course, I didn't just get that today, I also got my copy of Ni No Kuni. YAY! :)

And man, I am conflicted about which to unwrap first since I know whichever one I choose, I will end up getting full adsorb in for rest of my night's worth of free time.

Hm...Maybe I should ask you all which one that I should unwrap first? Nah, I can do that myself, especially considering that would required me to wait even longer to unwrap them since you folks usually don't comment here for me instantly. :P

Uh, I was going to talk about something else here as well, but I think I hear something calling my name. So yeah, thanks for taking the time to read this short entry and I hope you all have a good day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

...

*runs off to play Ni No Kuni*

*unwraps Hyrule Historia instead and start reading it* :P

Suggest PS3 games for me to check out...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Random Jan 27 2013 · 116 views

Hey, folks. I am just pop in today to ask if any of you know of some good PS3 games for me check out since well, I kind feel like to branch out some more from Nintendo stuff that I usually play. So yeah, if you know of any good games for the PS3, feel free to recommend some to me here.

Hm...I guess I should mention what games that I have already on the system. I have the following games on my PS3:
- Portal 2 (Mostly because for the timing being I can't play it on my PC. That and well, my sister brought it for me since I was one that brought PS3 from our brother [Yeah, he made me pay him for something that got free...])
- Darksiders (I brought this game awhile back. I just hadn't gotten around to playing it. Hm...I maybe starting this game next weekend, if I don't get distracted by other things.)
- Journey (Which I brought recently and I have beaten it in about three hours. Oh, and I am planning on maybe doing of a review of it here since I kind of feel like talking about my feelings and thoughts of it as whole.)
EDITED: - Okami HD (Just downloaded it yesterday on my PS3. Thanks Chols for suggesting it.)
 - Ni No Kuni (I just got this today (02-05-2013) and I am now off to go play it now. :) )

Games suggested:
- Uncharted Trilogy
- NieR
- Yakuza Series
- inFamous 1 & 2
- Shadow of Colossus
- Jak and Daxter HD Remake
- Ratchet and Clank HD Remake
- Sly Cooper
- Flower

Games own by my sister:
- LittleBigPlanet
- SoulCalibur IV

Oh, and I am thinking about getting Ni No Kuni since that game looks pretty good from what I seen of it. So yeah, with that said, I guess RPGs and action games would be good ones to suggest to me. So if you know of any good ones, feel free to suggest them here.

And for those wondering, my PSN ID is BZP64JMJ. You can add me there, if you want.

Alright, that's all I really have to talk about for this entry. I would greatly appreciate it if you could suggest some PS3 games for me to check out. If not though, thanks anyway for checking this entry out and I hope you all have a good day. Talk to you later, folks.

General Life Update

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Real Life, Random Nov 23 2012 · 56 views

Hey, folks. I am just popping in to give you folks an update since I honestly don't have anything better do today. Hm...Maybe I should be trying to brainstorm ideas for that Ninjago contest in the Short Stories forum.

But well, I hadn't talk to you folks here in awhile and it is not like this is going to take all day to write this. And beside, I am awful writer anyway, so my Ninjago fan fic will probably end up being too horrible that I ultimately won't even post it here.

So without further ado, let's begin this update with how well my hang out on last Saturday went. Well, the short version is that it was great hang out for me and my friend. I could almost say it was better than our BrickFair trip, but that would be lie obviously. Still though, it was definitely a fun day for us.

I mean for those interested in what we did exactly, we ended continuing our playthrough of New Super Mario Bros Wii (Last time we played, we had found the shortcut to World 8 in World 6.) and once again, I prove how horrible I am at Mario games (I have like 25 continues on Luigi due to my poor platforming skills.). But yeah, we played through rest of World 6, finished World 7, and then got midway through World 8. It was a lot of fun. I mean yeah, I died a lot. But having a friend around to play with me more than made up for it.

Outside of Mario, we went to movies to check out Wreck-It Ralph and I must say it really is a great film. I personally recommend you go checked it out, if you hadn't already. Oh, and as a added bonus for us when we seen it, we also got free guest passes since they were having technical issues with sound when we were seeing this movie.  So yeah, that was pretty awesome. Although AMC manager did lie to us and say that guest passes would have no addition charges for 3D films since if you read the fine print on the pass, it say there will be addition charges for those films.

And well, that was basically our day on Saturday. I doubt it sounds hugely interesting to most of you folks since you all are a lot more socially than I am. But I had fun and so did my friend; so to me at least, that's all that matters.

Alright, so moving on from that, I did played a bit of Pokemon Black 2 on Monday. But like last week, all I been doing lately is just level grinding all my Pokemon mostly because for some reason, I think it is good idea to train all my Pokemon equally. *shrugs* I also been trying to catch more Eevee in Castelia City. But so far, I hadn't any luck in finding anymore really.

Oh, and I have been playing a lot of Dream Radar lately since I kind want to get all upgrades for it. Although I hadn't try to catch Tornadus yet for those wondering. That's mostly because I want to upgrade at least one more thing a second time before doing that. *shrugs*

Hm...Really only interesting thing that happened in Pokemon Black 2 this week was that I apparently was playing this game in exactly location as someone else was since later on they visited my avenue and answer one of my surveys. I, of course, didn't talk to them or anything since when I notice C-Gear reacting to them, I was getting ready to catch my bus. But still it was nice seeing what happens when you pass by another player when you are playing the game also.

In other gaming news, I got the Adventure Time game on Tuesday and well, surprisingly I am about to beat the game already. All I have left to do in the game is beat the Ice King. Hm...If you folks want, I might do a review on it here.

I will say this though that it is a good game and it feels very much like a faithful Video Game adaption of TV show. It is a tad short though. But considering how long episodes in this show are normally, I guess that is is not too surprising. *shrugs*  But yeah, if you want me to do a proper review, feel free to leave a comment here telling me to do so.

Oh, speaking of TV shows, I missed the finale of Ninjago this week due to getting so distracted by playing the Adventure Time game. So yeah, I don't how it ended and I would appreciate if no one would spoil it for me, even though I am pretty sure I know what will happen. Hm...I should probably try and watch that before I start brainstorming for that contest in Short Stories forum.

And finally we have Thanksgiving with my mother's parents yesterday. That was definitely good. I ate a lot of mash potatoes and biscuits that day (I don't like Turkey.).

And well, I learned that I apparently have a Great Uncle up north from here, who is a Brother at a Catholic Church and it sounds like health-wise he is not doing too great (Which is sad to hear and I hope my father's plans to take my grandfather up north to visit him go well.). So yeah, that was interesting thing to learn, especially considering I have always been quite interest in learning more about my family's history as I really know quite little of it (My father's side being one that I know almost nothing about.).

Alright, folks, that's all I have to talk about here really. Hm...I guess I could mention that I have no plans to go Black Friday shopping today since I really rather not be caught in that chaos storm, we called "smart shoppers" looking for good deals. With that said, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good weekend. I'll talk to you later, BZPers.

TWENTY - Week 1, Day 7...Help, me...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Random Aug 31 2012 · 83 views

Hey, folks. I kind of didn't want to do this. But considering there are some veteran TWENTY players here, I thought it would be good idea to ask for some advise on how to deal with final boss battle of week 1. You know the fight where you battle the Game Master with food on his mind all the time. Yeah, him.

I think he has "erased" me about five six times now and I absolutely refuse to retry him on easy. XD Well, okay, if I end up dying like twenty times to him, I think I can forget about my pride here and just retry on easy mode. lol Maybe I am such a loser that even changing game modes won't do anything to help.

Oh, and days 5 & 6 were pretty interesting. I like how they flesh out my partner's (Shiki Misaki) character during those days. And man, I wanted to give her a virtual hug when she was depressed in day 6 by what meanie Game Master Higashizawa said to her. Oh, and day 6 was also kind of hilarious since we had to help some guy in a suit sell an awful pin (Which I hate to wear because it slows me down in combat.) to people in "other" Shibuya.

I won't say anymore than that since I don't want to spoil the game for you folks that don't have it yet. You folks are getting it, right? :P

***

In other news, I am still curious if anyone is interest in getting this misprint part. Like I say in the previous entry, I think it should be in better MOCing hands than my own. So yeah, leave a comment here or shoot me a PM, if you are interested in it.

Alright, that's pretty much all I got for you folks today. I am sorry if it was kind of boring entry for you folks to read, but thank you for at least taking the time to read it. And with that said, I am going to try the boss one last time before handing off to bed, so I'll see you all later. Well, I lost again. Night, BZPers.

TWENTY - Week 1, Day 5

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games Aug 23 2012 · 83 views

Hey, folks. I am just popping in to let you all know that I got to play "The World Ends With You" today. And well, I am loving it so far. Of course, I am still only into the first week of the game (Day 5), so I can't really judge it too much yet.

I do like what I am seeing though and much like with Kid Icarus: Uprising, I think this game really takes advantage of the system that it is on. It particularly why I am hoping they actually are planning on release a sequel of this game for 3DS because I think they could really take advantage of 3DS's features with the game. Hm...At same time, I kind of hope they stick with graphic style of this game if there is a sequel because I feel like it gives the game kind of like its own style to it. *shrugs*

As for its battle system, I can't really talk about it much yet since I have yet to fully adjust to it (I have my partner on auto mode.). So yeah, I'll talk about that later down the line since right now, I am not huge fan of dual combat system. *shrugs*

But anyway, I think what I liking the most about this game so far is the story. Although really not surprising since generally I play video games for their story much more than I play them for their mechanics. And man, this story is shaping up to be interesting. Obviously though, I am not going to mention anything of it to avoid spoiling anything for you folks that hadn't play it.

lol Of course, I only five days into the game, so really I hadn't experience too much of the game plot to spoil you folks with here. Really I guess I am avoiding being specific about stuff because I want to avoid spoilers of what happens later on in the game as I feel it will dampen the experience in the game.

For example, near the end of day 4, I was taken by surprise with what happen there. I also found my react to be opposite of Neku (The Playable Character) as genuinely care about what happen to his "friend" there. *shrugs* Oh, and there was also a priceless moment on that day (4), when Shiki notice one of Neku's buttons on his pants needed to be fix. XD

Alright, I think I have ramble enough here. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day. And with that say, good night, BZPers.

10 Hours of KH3D...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games Aug 12 2012 · 56 views

Man, I been playing that game for a long time today. And I actually would still be playing it if it weren't for the fact that it is one in morning here and my hands are starting to go numb (Sora's Boss Battle in Pinocchio World end up confusing me a bit, so I had to do reality shift thing a few times.). lol

But yeah, I am loving the game so far and I can't wait to get back to playing it. Hm...I don't think it is going to replace Kid Icarus: Uprising as my handheld game of the year though. *shrugs* But anyway, I am currently in the Three Musketeers world and so far I only have died six times with Sora and once with Riku (The deaths were all the result of foolish mistakes on my part.).

I am also inclined to agree with most people that most challenging boss so far has got to be Rinzler, although it only took about two deaths from Sora to figure out that I need to be more tactical with attacking him. Oh, and using flow motion now almost feels natural to me, so I really been taken advantage of that to help me dodge stuff (Especially during that fight with Rinzler, who's fight style kind of reminds me of style that Vanitas uses in Birth by Sleep.).

And man, this game really makes me like playing as Riku more than Sora. Although it would probably help if I gave Sora some better Spirits than 64 (Meow Wow) and Joker (Jestabocky, which I got early on because I experimented in Spirit creator.). I kind of don't want to replace them though since I feel like I have invest too much in their ability trees already to change them now. *shrugs*

But yeah, that's what I was doing today mostly. *yawn* And I guess that's all for this entry. Apologizes if it was kind of boring for you guys to read. Thanks though for taking the time to read this. Night, BZPers.

MAGECAT MUST DIE!

***

Hey, folks. I am just being random today and showing you guys something that pop into my head magically, while playing Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. Yeah, I know I am weird. But what can I say? I thought it was funny, so I thought I would share this with you since you guys mostly just see my serious side here in this blog.

But anyway, outside of being random like that, I want to mention here that I am, once again, rather tempted to try and buy a LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT set. The only problem that I think I might have with this idea is that I am not sure if I can the run the software for it. Does anyone here know if the software for it supports Window Vista users? Just wondering as I don't want to end up buying it only to find out I can't use it at all.

Alright, that's all for this entry. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have good night. See ya, BZPers.

Fresh Cut and KH 3D

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Video Games Aug 01 2012 · 71 views

Hey, folks. I am just pop in really quick to show you guys a picture of my latest hair cut. That and I want to poll you guys on whether or not you really want me to bother showing you the contents of Mark of Mastery Edition for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

I am mainly asking this because I already did like fifteen attempts at recording an unboxing for you guys and all of them have been failures mostly. So I am not sure if the video thing is going to work, sorry. I will give it one more try though to see if I am any better now with my hair cut, although I doubt that will change anything in the slightest. Beside, I already did open the game anyway, so it is not like you will be getting anything special from watching me ramble in real life. *shrugs* I could take some pictures of contents of the box though, if you folks want me to.

But anyway, here is picture of me with KH 3D in my right hand and a fresh hair cut:

Alright, that's all for this entry. Thanks for taking the time to read this, folks. I'll see you all later. *dives back into Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance*
