Belated 2012 Overview & Goals for 2013 Entry...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Random Jan 01 2013 · 48 views

Hey, BZPers. As you may have notice, it has been awhile since I have posted an entry here. That's mostly because well, I didn't really have much talk about these past few days.

I mean I guess I could of done an entry about what I got for Christmas and all here (Which was mostly clothes and money, by the way.), but I kind didn't feel like it. So yeah, the short answer is I was just lazy for past few days.

But anyway, since today was last day of 2012, I thought I would take this time to do a brief overview of 2012 and my goals for 2013.

Hm...To make it easier for you folks to read and for me to write this, I am going to do this in a list format. I hope that's alright with you folks. If it isn't, feel free to leave me some criticism here and suggest a better way that I could be doing this. Without further ado though, here is my overview on Year 2012:

- Opinion of the Year: For most part, this year was good for me. After all, I still have my job and I graduated community college with my degree (Well, technically I hadn't gotten my degree from the school yet and they haven't told me when I am going to get it from them...So yeah, that's a bit of issue.). So in terms of important life plans, this year has gone well for me.

Have I complete everything that I would like to this year? Uh, not really. I didn't get driver's license. The basement is still an awful mess. I am still kind of overweight. I neglected to review both
Ballom's and Janus's epics (Which I am going to try work on reviewing at least some of it in January, but we'll see how success I am at that.). So yeah, this year was definitely far from perfect for me.

- Alright so as I mention above in my opinion of the year, I have
graduated from Community College this year. That's pretty nice, right?
Achievement Unlocked - Associate in Applied Science: Mechanical Technology

- Oh, yeah, I also got to visit my first Brick convention (
BrickFair) this year. Thanks to my very good real life friend, Steven. That was definitely pretty awesome.

Although as you folks know, I didn't really meet any BZPers there. lol Not that's surprising considering I have never been much people person and well, it helped a lot that my friend came with me as I probably wouldn't had the courage to even approach the Bionicle table without him.

So yeah, that was definitely a highlight of this year for me, even I didn't really meet anyone there. Actually a part of me think it is kind of cool that I was somehow able to sign BZPower logbook without anyone noticing. I mean it is almost like I was a ninja or a ghost or something. Which is actually kind of funny to think about because I have been told by people at my high school and college before that I am quiet like a ninja.
Achievement Unlocked - Ninja of BrickFair
Achievement Description - You signed the BZPower Logbook without anyone noticing.

***

Hm...Honestly that's about all I feel like recounting about this year. I mean I could probably say more about 2012, but it is three in the morning here and I do want to go to bed soon. So I am just going to leave 2012 overview at that since I covered most of parts that you folks might of care about already. With that said, what are my goals for new year (2013)?

Real Life Goals
- Get my driver's license
- Get a better job
- Lose some weight
- Clean & paint the basement
- Get rid of some old junk that I am not using anymore
- Get a better computer (Preferably not Windows 8...But if I have to, I'll settle for it.)

BZPower & LEGO Goals
- Send a few of your Bionicle MOCs to BrickFair Alabama
- Review Ballom's and Janus's Epics
- Work on your Hapori Tohu Head project
- Revamp some of your MOCs from
12 Days of Brickmas entry
- Try to attend BrickFair Virginia again, but this time for more than one day (if possible)

And well, those are most of my goals for next year. If I had to guess, I probably won't complete a good amount of them knowing my track record. But you never know, maybe I'll surprised myself. I mean after all, I didn't think I was going to check BrickFair out in 2012, but that ended up happening. So yeah, you never know.

With that said though, I think this entry is ready to be posted. Thanks for taking the time to read this, folks. I hope 2013 is treating you all well. And well, I'll talk to you all later.

Achievement Unlocked - Associate in Applied Sciene: Mechnical Technology

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life Dec 12 2012 · 52 views

Well, folks, this is it. Today is my final day of Community College.

Hm..It is kind of hard to believe this is the last day, but it definitely is. Who knew that two years could go by so fast? :P But yeah, I guess I am done with my college education for now. *shrugs*

Really I am not sure how to feel about this since part of me is happy to be done with it, so I can work more as I get enough stress as it is from my boss about how much they wish I could be in everyday (Heck, I wonder how guilty I'll feel when I finally leave there to seek better employment.). But this also another part of me that rather likes the balance of school, work, and free time that I have going on for these past few semesters. *shrugs*

Alright, I really need to get going to my class now, so I guess I going to end this entry now. Hm...I guess I can share with you all my current GPA in case any of you folks were wondering. At this moment in time, I have a GPA of 3.67 (Note: My current class's grade is not in yet. It should be an A though.).

Okay, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day. And with that said, I'll talk to you all later, folks.

Rambling about Life

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Random, Pokemon Dec 05 2012 · 61 views

Hey, BZPers. Its been awhile since I posted an entry, so I thought I would pop in and give a life update of sorts. Oh, and for those wondering why I hadn't been posting entries or reading the forums lately, I think it is mostly because I been playing a lot of games on Wii U lately.

And well, beside school stuff, my life generally pretty dull, folks. So yeah, there is generally not a lot for me to blog about (Especially considering FRINGE took like three weeks off due to Black Friday and all. Its back this week by the way.) here regularly.

Hm...I could of probably have done some Pokelogs. Although like I have said in some previous entries, I mostly just been level grinding all my Pokemon to equal levels lately. So yeah, absolutely no progress on the 4th Gym has been made (Which to be honest is mostly because my regular team would of been owned by Elesa since they all are at bit of type disadvantage against her.), and I doubt you folks want to read an entry about level grinding here.

Oh, speaking of Pokemon, I actually have done something beside level grinding yesterday and that was I got myself a bunch of Eevee eggs recently. And well, if you hadn't guess, I am attempting to get all Eeveelutions since I want to try them all out. So yeah, I guess that's interesting thing to tell you folks.

But anyway, in terms of life, things have been going well for me. I mean I am about to graduated from Community College with my associate degree, so I am pretty happy about that. Yeah, I realized it is not greatest time to graduate from college, especially when you are trying to find a better job.

Although it is kind of hard not to be a little happy that this semester is ending because to put simply, the lectures in this course are starting to make me sleepy since our instructor has a habit of presenting examples from the book rather than gives us problems to do.

Seriously I don't need my instructor going through examples in the book for me. I mean I get teaching us the concept and all, but I feel like I really learn better doing the problem myself and asking questions when I need to. *shrugs* Hm...It probably doesn't help that I already knew a good deal about work involve in this course since I did take a night course last semester that also dealt with this kind of stuff.

Beside school stuff, there is not a lot going on with me in real life. I am just going to work mostly, which thankfully it is keeping me quite busy whenever I am there. Oh, wait...I guess I could mention here that I hadn't been able to do any driving this month or previous month. So unfortunately I am probably going to have to retake computer test to get my permit reinstated since it expires for final time during first week of next month.

Hm...I guess I could hire someone to teach me since my father is awful at keeping a regular driving lesson schedule. But to be honest, I think it too late to do that now, so I am probably going to have to retake the test. Oh, well.

And that's about it, folks.  I am sorry if this was boring entry for you to read. But thank you for taking the time to read this, folks. I hope you all have a good night. I'll talk you later, BZPers.

General Life Update

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Video Games, Real Life, Random Nov 23 2012 · 56 views

Hey, folks. I am just popping in to give you folks an update since I honestly don't have anything better do today. Hm...Maybe I should be trying to brainstorm ideas for that Ninjago contest in the Short Stories forum.

But well, I hadn't talk to you folks here in awhile and it is not like this is going to take all day to write this. And beside, I am awful writer anyway, so my Ninjago fan fic will probably end up being too horrible that I ultimately won't even post it here.

So without further ado, let's begin this update with how well my hang out on last Saturday went. Well, the short version is that it was great hang out for me and my friend. I could almost say it was better than our BrickFair trip, but that would be lie obviously. Still though, it was definitely a fun day for us.

I mean for those interested in what we did exactly, we ended continuing our playthrough of New Super Mario Bros Wii (Last time we played, we had found the shortcut to World 8 in World 6.) and once again, I prove how horrible I am at Mario games (I have like 25 continues on Luigi due to my poor platforming skills.). But yeah, we played through rest of World 6, finished World 7, and then got midway through World 8. It was a lot of fun. I mean yeah, I died a lot. But having a friend around to play with me more than made up for it.

Outside of Mario, we went to movies to check out Wreck-It Ralph and I must say it really is a great film. I personally recommend you go checked it out, if you hadn't already. Oh, and as a added bonus for us when we seen it, we also got free guest passes since they were having technical issues with sound when we were seeing this movie.  So yeah, that was pretty awesome. Although AMC manager did lie to us and say that guest passes would have no addition charges for 3D films since if you read the fine print on the pass, it say there will be addition charges for those films.

And well, that was basically our day on Saturday. I doubt it sounds hugely interesting to most of you folks since you all are a lot more socially than I am. But I had fun and so did my friend; so to me at least, that's all that matters.

Alright, so moving on from that, I did played a bit of Pokemon Black 2 on Monday. But like last week, all I been doing lately is just level grinding all my Pokemon mostly because for some reason, I think it is good idea to train all my Pokemon equally. *shrugs* I also been trying to catch more Eevee in Castelia City. But so far, I hadn't any luck in finding anymore really.

Oh, and I have been playing a lot of Dream Radar lately since I kind want to get all upgrades for it. Although I hadn't try to catch Tornadus yet for those wondering. That's mostly because I want to upgrade at least one more thing a second time before doing that. *shrugs*

Hm...Really only interesting thing that happened in Pokemon Black 2 this week was that I apparently was playing this game in exactly location as someone else was since later on they visited my avenue and answer one of my surveys. I, of course, didn't talk to them or anything since when I notice C-Gear reacting to them, I was getting ready to catch my bus. But still it was nice seeing what happens when you pass by another player when you are playing the game also.

In other gaming news, I got the Adventure Time game on Tuesday and well, surprisingly I am about to beat the game already. All I have left to do in the game is beat the Ice King. Hm...If you folks want, I might do a review on it here.

I will say this though that it is a good game and it feels very much like a faithful Video Game adaption of TV show. It is a tad short though. But considering how long episodes in this show are normally, I guess that is is not too surprising. *shrugs*  But yeah, if you want me to do a proper review, feel free to leave a comment here telling me to do so.

Oh, speaking of TV shows, I missed the finale of Ninjago this week due to getting so distracted by playing the Adventure Time game. So yeah, I don't how it ended and I would appreciate if no one would spoil it for me, even though I am pretty sure I know what will happen. Hm...I should probably try and watch that before I start brainstorming for that contest in Short Stories forum.

And finally we have Thanksgiving with my mother's parents yesterday. That was definitely good. I ate a lot of mash potatoes and biscuits that day (I don't like Turkey.).

And well, I learned that I apparently have a Great Uncle up north from here, who is a Brother at a Catholic Church and it sounds like health-wise he is not doing too great (Which is sad to hear and I hope my father's plans to take my grandfather up north to visit him go well.). So yeah, that was interesting thing to learn, especially considering I have always been quite interest in learning more about my family's history as I really know quite little of it (My father's side being one that I know almost nothing about.).

Alright, folks, that's all I have to talk about here really. Hm...I guess I could mention that I have no plans to go Black Friday shopping today since I really rather not be caught in that chaos storm, we called "smart shoppers" looking for good deals. With that said, thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good weekend. I'll talk to you later, BZPers.

Belated FRINGE Fr-aturday: Up Early Edition

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in FRINGE, Pokemon, Random, Real Life Nov 17 2012 · 63 views

Hey, BZPers. Its been awhile since I posted an entry here, so I thought since a bit of time right now (About 3 hours and 47 minutes to be exactly until the hang out with my friend starts. Yeah, I am that excited. What can I say I don't get a lot of human interaction daily outside of my family.) that I should pop in and give you folks an update.

So where to begin? Well, for starters, the reason this entry wasn't up yesterday is because I been trying to go bed a little bit earlier lately, so obviously I been cutting back on my BZPower time a little due to that. I am sorry about that, folks. But well, I do kind of need to fix my sleep schedule as I am tired of feeling drain when I am at work. So yeah, there might be a drop in active from me for next few days as I try to adjust to a new sleep schedule. Hopefully it won't be too difficult of adjustment.

Oh, and as for reason why there hasn't been a Pokelog in awhile that has more to do with fact that I gotten in one of my moods to train all the Pokemon that I have caught recently to equal levels. Plus, I also been trying to catch a whole bunch of Eevee, so I could try out a bunch of Eeveelutions. So yeah, absolutely no progress has been made on challenging Gym leaders, so I am still in Nimbasa City.

Hm...Speaking of Pokemon, I been messing around with Pokedex Pro and Pokemon Dream Radar lately and I must say I think they are pretty fun apps. In terms of progress for those applications, I believe I have unlock all trivia games in Pokedex Pro and in Dream Radar, I have unlock extension that let me catch the first Legendary in that game (I hadn't use it yet since I tend to have trouble catching Pokemon in this applications due to them flying all over the place, while I have system plug in a charger.).

Wait a second, this is supposed be a FRINGE related entry, not a Pokemon one. *faceplam* With that said, I guess I should mention that loved yesterday's episode of FRINGE. It was great episode and it will definitely be episode from this season that I will be re-watching a lot. Really my own complain about this episode is that pacing wasn't too great. But honestly that is just a problem with this season in general due to limit amount of episodes for this season.

Hm...I really got to remember to go get last season on DVD at some point. Although then again, I still hadn't watch my season 3 DVD in its entirely yet (I have watched season 1 and 2 several times on DVD.). *shrugs*

Well, folks, that's about it for this entry. I am seeing now if I can catch the new episode of MLP today. That and do a bit of cleaning, so basement is not completely horrible when my friend is here at 12:15 PM to hang out. Oh, by the way, we are watching Wreck-It Ralph today. That should be fun, right? :)

With that said, I'll talk to you folks later. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day.

Random Entry - JMJ is not very smart...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Real Life Oct 31 2012 · 41 views

Hey, folks. I am just popping in to let you all that I am not brightest lightblub in the world. I say this because I somehow thought it was a good idea to walk on the grass at my college and rightfully so, slipped and land on my butt. So yeah, my school/work pants are now strain with mud. Of course, I did manage to get some of it off my pants with paper towels from the bathroom. But I am pretty sure that didn't do a whole lot of good and technically it is going to get much worst later in the day since I got a grassy hill to climb to get back home (Fun, Fun!).

So yeah, folks, my day hasn't start out very well for me. Especially considering before I even got to campus and slipped, I end up sitting on a bus in traffic for awhile. Luckily for me though, I do come to school several hours early, so I am not at all late for my class today. Heck, I still have enough time to write up a quick entry for my blog here, even though the bus was late. Although admittedly, it is not as much time as I would like since I actually want to talk here about vary of things here before I go to my class today. Hm...I guess that entry will have to wait until later. Yeah, I try to write another entry when I get home today since otherwise, I will forget the topics that I was thinking of writing about here today.

Well, I guess I can mention while I am still here that this Halloween, I am not really going to be doing anything. I mean originally I was going to hand out candy, but apparently my mother didn't buy any this year. So I guess I am just going to be hang out in the basement like usual on my computer. lol Not that I am complaining really since it probably for the best considering how this day is going for me. Plus, there is a new episode of Supernatural today, so I guess watching that will be what I do for Halloween as that show does has horror elements in it. *shrugs*

Okay, I am out of time, folks. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all are having a much better day than I am. Talk to you later, BZPers.

FRINGE Friday - They Are Here

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life, Random, LEGO, FRINGE Sep 29 2012 · 92 views

Hey, folks. I am just popping in to tell you all that FRINGE is back today. And well, as you veterans of my blog know, I always try to write up a little entry here about my thoughts of the night's episode with a bit of rambling about other stuff as well. Obviously though, I am talking about the episode in whole detail since someone might of miss tonight's episode and I don't want to be spoiling for them.

So mostly I'll just be commenting on my overall feelings about the episode here. Of course, since this is being written during a hype state of mind (What can I say? I tend get passionate when I watched TV shows, I like.), my comments here about the episode are by no means my final opinion on them.

With that said, I guess I will start off by saying that I am pretty excited for this season since this episode does seem to be setting up some interesting plots (Which considering it is all Observer based, I am very interested in seeing where things go here.). Although I can't say a huge fan of leap forward in time for this season, but I can understand why it was done and I am sure I will get use to it.

Hm...And well, that's all I feel safe right now commenting on. I mean I could say more, but I don't want to accidentally end up spoiling something for you folks out there. So to be safe, I leave FRINGE talk at that and move on to something else.

Speaking of something else, is it too late to try and get into Ninjago storyline? I have seen a few of episodes of show on Cartoon Network awhile back and I am kind of interest in maybe checking out more of them to get a better idea of the story. I am not sure if I should though since I recall someone saying that Ninjago was being discontinued soon by LEGO (Which if that true, I kind have to wonder why considering it seems like it is pretty successful series for LEGO right now.). *shrugs*

Oh, and did anyone here catch the Empire Strikes Out last Wednesday? I am just wondering since I thought it was pretty good, especially in terms of humor. And well, it has kind made me wish I had seen the Padawan Menace, but unfortunately I missed getting to watch that one awhile back. :(

Hm...And now I am in building mood. Unfortunately it like one in the morning here, so it is not exactly good time to go play around with my LEGO (Which knowing me will just end with me sorting through bricks and Technic pieces for several hours.). I probably should be going to bed.

Before I do though, I just remembered that I wanted to mention that apparently my sister and I are in competition to see who get their license first. My money on her since she is pretty determined and she really hate taking the bus into work. So really it is not competition at all since I really don't see myself feeling comfortable behind the wheel anytime soon. *shrugs*

Alright, that's all for this entry. Thanks for taking the time to read this, folks. I hope you all have a good day. Night, BZPers.

By the way, this misprint is still up for grabs, so if you want it shoot me a PM.

So apparently...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Real Life Sep 23 2012 · 80 views

So apparently I have no class next week... No idea why though but my Professor just emailed the class that he couldn't make it in to teach this week and as such, I got Monday and Wednesday to myself.

Well, it could be all to myself, but only if I don't decided to go into work those days. Although if I were to go into work, it would mean that I could get some overtime this week, especially if I worked Saturday like I did last week. Hm...I don't know though. I wouldn't mind maybe using those days to catch up on some things and maybe do some cleaning. What do you folks think I should do? Just curious is all.

And well, that's about it for this entry. Hm...I guess I could mention that I am thinking about hosting a blog contest here in the near future. For those interested, I can tell you this much about the possible contest and that is it will be Short Story contest and a feature of this contest will involve reviewing someone else's work to enter (Because the library forums needs more love and it also has purpose in the contest, which you will find out when I make the official announcement with rules and stuff.).

Alright, that's all I got for you folks. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day. Good Night, BZPers.

By the way, this misprint is still up for grabs, so if you want it shoot me a PM.

Semester 5, Day 2 - Tired Edition...

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Real Life Aug 29 2012 · 69 views

*yawn* Hello, folks. I am just popping in to talk about my second day back on the school schedule. And before anyone asks, this entry for today, not yesterday. My class only meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, so officially this is second day for me. I also have only one class, so there is really not that much to talk about here.

I mean we did do stuff in class today, but it was a review of basic math and statics knowledge that I already have from other courses, so I was rather bored today. And again, we don't have any homework, so I had a couple hours to kill at school with nothing to do (lol That's not even counting the hours that I was there early.).

So basically I just played a bit of TWENTY, while I was there (Of course, I ended up getting a game over due to game master's test, so everything I did ended disappearing anyway.). That and Mii hunting, which did not go too well as I got only two Miis. But hey, two Miis are better than none and they did help me chip away more of final boss's health, so I can't complain.

I also did not have greatest bus ride up to school, so I can't say I was really a happy camper about that. But well, I have complain enough about that to my mother and sister today, so I don't really feel like bring it up again. All you need to know is that bus was more crowd than it was on Monday and that there was people standing all throughout the bus (Myself included.). So yeah, that wasn't the happiest highlight of my day, but it is to be expected considering this is first week and all.

And wow, this is weird. I was dead tired before writing this entry and now I am kind of wide awake. What magic are you using on me, BZPower? :P

But anyway, since I have so much free time lately, I think I will be able to get Short Stories/Epics reviews done slightly more quickly at least during this first month of school. And who knows, maybe I go crazy and review everything on front page of Short Stories forum. XD

Nah, I really needed to focus my attention on doing assignments for SSCC. Plus, I need to get those reviews out to Ballom and Janus since I keep to forgetting to revisit their works whenever I am free like this. So yeah, until I am in more of reviewing groove of things, I am probably won't be opening the flood gates again for review requests.

In other non-school news, I got a question for you folks. Does anyone want this misprint part? I got it like last year for helping out with that mosaic project thingy here. And well, I think it should be in better hands than me since I do not have MOCer's eye for making amazing things out of misprint parts. So if you are interested in it, leave a comment here. Either that or PM me, which ever one you preferred to do is fine by me.

Alright, that's all I have for you folks today. I am sorry about it being a boring entry, but thank for at least taking the time to read it. And I guess I'll see you all later. Night, BZPers.

Semester 5, Day 1

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Real Life Aug 27 2012 · 38 views

Hey, folks. I just thought I pop in and tell you how the first day back went. It was mostly boring day, to be honest. Especially since the only thing we did in my one class for this semester was review basic math stuff that will applied to what we are learning this semester. Although then again, it is really not surprising since that is how it usually is.

Oh, I kind of feel like I am a horrible person right now because while I was at my college today, someone was asking where a class was and I ended up poorly explaining to her the room numbering system to help her find her classroom. And well, she was then redirected back up to floor that I was on by one of the staff (Or at least that's what she told me).

So naturally seeing her again, I asked her if she found her class and she answer back no. I thought at time that can't be right, so I ask to see her schedule to check if I heard her right. Well, apparently I did not hear her right as I thought she had say room number starting with 24, when it really started with 42; which means that it wasn't in STEM building (Which is where we were) as I originally thought.

Now I was feeling quite bad about this, so I offer to take her over to the room. She declined though saying she did not want to take me way from my class, which she assume was starting soon. I told her though that my class did not even start until like twenty minutes from now (I been at my school since 7:40 AM and my class starts at 10:45 AM, so I had a lot of time to kill.) and that I didn't mind. She told she thinks she will be alright and left.

Man, I hope she got there alright. I really feel bad about not making sure she got to her class alright. Argh...I am so horrible!

Uh...Yeah, that's all I feel like sharing about my day. I think I am going to try lift my spirits a little about above thing by listening TWENTY music on my I-Thingy, while I wait for Alphas to come on. I guess I'll see you, folks.
