Apply for something I'm applying for. They'll pick you over me. That's how it's been going for a couple people I know. >.<

So I got the interviews (both from in-person meetings and BZPers who sent stuff online) and I got everything ordered out. Now I'm just working to perfect the flow and everything. I'm needing lots of visual material, so I'm pulling a lot from my own personal videos. So if I snapped a picture of you at either BrickFair or BrickCon last year, you might make a cameo! (Also, it's funny that I keep referring to AFOLs and then showing BZPower members, since in some ways we're a completely different subset of AFOLs...)

So yeah fair warning.

Everybody seems to be signing up for this lately. So I joined. Because, believe it or not, I'm a Harry Potter fan myself, and have reread the books more times than I would like to count. (Fav is still the 3rd one.)

Anyway, I have a black cat as a pet, a 12.5 in dragon-core hornbeam rigid want. I'm in Gryffindor, despite me thinking my answers would lead me to Ravenclaw. And my user name is FangFeather22174 because of course they had to select the name and add a bunch of numbers to it.

Overall, I'm not entirely impressed. If I wanted a game where I went around Hogwarts and collected things (and was super slow to load... and I played this on FF too) then I'd just go for on the the Lego HP games. The bonus material is pretty nice, and spell dueling game play is an interesting idea. Potions are just a pain in the neck... but hey if that's what they were going for, yay.

Anyway, an interesting concept for online game play. But I don't see the appeal of it, with the exception of getting exclusive content, and it is a little tedious to have to play thru all the scenes just to unlock it all.

I guess this warrants blogging about. At least on a Bionicle based website.

I got my last standard-colored Noble Mask in the other dark. Light Grey Komau. (Funny, I tried to paint one of my extra tan Komaus light grey back in the day. Hint, it didn't go over well.)

So yeah, I guess this officially means that I have all 72 masks that I was supposed to collect back in 01. Took me long enough.

(And that doesn't even count collecting misprints, rares, set masks, or even Kanohi from other years. Oh well.)

Anyway, the idea of collecting Kanohi seriously hooked my back in 2001, and although I wasn't ever super serious it's cool to have the whole collection of the coolest sets of masks ever. EVER!

Another note: I've been worried about how my employment might mess with my availability to attend the weekday portions of Bricks Cascade. But I haven't heard anything back from my old job or any of the internships I applied for. Thus, I might be super free to attend the whole thing... I just can't buy anything cause I'll be broke and unemployed. Oh well, hopefully they're just slow and will let me know soon if they want me to work or not.

Yesterday I met up with one of the men helping set up the Bricks Cascade convention in Portland, OR this June. He did an interview for my movie project, which I am grateful for. But he has a message he wanted to pass on to all of you.

Come to Bricks Cascade!!

It's going to be an awesome convention with awesome people from Oregon and Washington and beyond. So if you live in the area, come to it! If you don't live in the area, fly over and come to it.

Also I guess there'll be a few popular BZP staff there?

But lots of Lego is guaranteed.

Yesterday I wrote a big list of projects that need to be done soon.

And after lots of planning, arguments, and other junk, I've been able to cross off...

Not quite in panic mode but I'm about ready for summer vacaction to just show up... except then I have to work.

It's an early concept drawing of the island of Mata Nui from Christian Faber's blog. The landscapes are more clearly defined here than in other maps I've seen, including various mountain peaks, ridges in the desert, and the volcano.

Next year we will redo our Mata Nui island model. We will adjust the sizes to make everything more porportionate. And we will base the design off this map. (Heck, maybe even design from the coastline to the interior next time too.)

Sure, it won't be as original because it would have been done before (by us) but we'd make it better!!

But won't happen until next year cause we won't have time to fix it (which will require tearing it all down pretty much) and anyway Steven's already packed it away.

BUT THERE WILL BE PLANS FOR THE FUTURE!

Well, the timing apparently got messed up, since CF's should be last but ends up in the middle, and Velox's didn't show up at all. Plus, initially they didn't appear on the board until after I commented in each of them. On the plus side, somebody initially posted a blog in the middle of all this, but then it disappeared. Strangeness.

Maybe better coordination next year... or we just won't rely on the stupid "post in future" publishing option for blog entries.

I was watching some random animated clips online to pass the time, and I had a passing thought that it would be cool to actually watch a full season of a cartoon, since I haven't done that recently. Then I thought, maybe I should post a blog entry on BZP asking for suggestions.

A second later, I remembered what half the avatars and banners are on this site, and decided against it.

I post this here for laughed, but no commenting, cause I just know the arguments will start.
