Smile, Smile, Smile

Posted by The Inquisitive Automaton , Apr 05 2012 · 26 views

So, for those of you paying attention, you'll remember me saying about two weeks ago how my mood had plummeted and I'd fallen into depression again. Well, I'm overjoyed to say that that's gone again and I'm back to being my peppy and enthusiastic self.

My day today's probably been a good contributor to that. I shan't bore too many of you with the details but it was a fine day that involved long bus journeys, bowling with friends, Subway and a trip round a few stores. It did end up costing about £60, with all I bought though, so...ouch.

I had a pretty lovely chat with an author who was signing books in Waterstones. I'd never heard of his stuff before, but I decided to ask him about where he got his ideas from, why he decided to become a writer and how he got his works published. I then had to buy one of his books, because I would have felt awkward just walking off. But that's not too much of a problem, should be a good read. Well, it may be a little bit of a problem. Cost £9.99...

What was the book called?

Never heard of him.

BTW, first thing that came to mind when I read the title was 'Smiling is overrated'. XP

Neither had I, but it seems whoever read his works loved him, as I found out after he rather joyfully pulled out a load of quotes from reviews. Plus, if I have got to do a wide variety of reading, then the unknown stuff is probably the best place to look.

Nah, that'd be a title from two weeks ago. :P

You have to be careful. Were there '...'s in the quotes? 'Cause he could've done this:
'Definitely not the best book I've ever read' becomes '... the best book I've ever read'.
