I've been thinking about trying my hand at another language for a while now. I've had a couple of go's a few times in the past, with French, Spanish and Japanese, all of which ended miserably. Well, Japanese didn't. I just kind of stopped there. But I think if I tried to pick something up again I'd feel a lot more motivated when it's more of a hobby rather than for academic purposes (It's my weird logic, don't question it). The only question is, what do I try? I've no interest in learning French; I could try Spanish again, given I have the whole head-start thing; I could start Italian which is something that caught my eye given it's a rather pleasant sounding language, even though I have no real use for it; I could go for Japanese which is probably the most useful for me but also the most difficult...In all honesty, Italian sounds like the most appealing, it just lacks any real purpose in my life. So I'm just curious what anyone else thinks and what languages you might have learnt.
Also tomorrow, assuming torrents of snow don't fall upon our heads, I get the joy of taking part in my first anger management class in college. Hooray. Because I'm sure that will have all the answers on how to solve my verbal assaults and inner monologue of detestment. Breathing slightly differently.
