There are two things in life that I hate. Football (That's soccer, to all you Americans out there) and pubs. And I somehow ended up in a situation that included both. I have to wonder why these games are so exciting they cause the bloke on the table in front of us to start screaming at a pitch that hurts my ears. If anyone did that in any other situation I'm sure they'd be asked to leave. Throughout the entire time I had a particular quote from The IT Crowd running around in my head.
"How long do football matches last?"
"A billion hours, apparently!"
Elsewhere in the world of things worth blogging about...I've cancelled The Best Kept Secrets! ...Nah, nah I haven't. I just wanted to type that. In truth I've just hit a brick wall of irritation induced by just how long it's being and how there are other projects I want to start on. Therefore I've decided to start a side project that I've been looking forwards to: The Shadow of this Red Rock, which is about...well, it's about a red rock. And the shadow it casts. Make of that what you will. It'll be significantly shorter than TBKS. I estimate around about 10 chapters, give or take a few. It'll be a lot more character-focused and whereas TBKS is all over the place with characters, there'll only be one leading protagonist in this.
TBKS will update normally, and just as frequently as ever. I think once I pass over chapter 27 I'll have re-entered the realms of motivation and have about 7 more chapters to go until the end.
