Life
Well, today, I had a wopper of assignments; I had a History project, Life Science project, Math test, English test, and had to begin on a Literature project. All went off well, nothing getting a grade below B+. The History project was pretty much easy; had to write about a civilization, so I chose the Roman Empire, which I know quite a bit about. Life Science was on genes; had to show a ten-generation family nd use Punett Squares to show the spread of genetic dieseases.

All in all, a great day. Settled a despute, got awesome points from my Science teacher, and managed to pull off a two flip frontflip off a five foot jump. It was stupid, but it was awesome.

Now finished with Book Two. Quite frankly, I have to say that the best chapter out of there was 'Bitter Work.' Mainly because of the ending scene, where Zuko's yelling at the storm. It's really emotional.

Star Trek

Life
If you wish to keep your sanity, don't pull off a ten-hour Star Trek Marathon like I did. Started around seven o'clock at my friend's house; used his computer until 9 something then settled down and watched Star Trek until, like, 5 in the morning.

Do not ask me why I'm awake at 8 o'clock.

Like, I hope there's no rule against posting two entries in the same day... << >>

Recently bought some stuffs. Fifty bucks sure goes fast, though.

-Two T-shirts, one solid blue and the other a blend between red and pink. 14.00
-Couple Beanie Babies. Should be helpful to my collection. 6.00
-Game Insider Magazine 1.50
-Age of Empires guide 10.00
-More stuffing for my stuffed bear 5.00
-Star Trek-The Bests 13.00
-York Mint .50

A well spent 50 bucks if you ask me.

You know, it's interesting that this is my first story that takes place after 2020 that doesn't have a world torn apart nuclear holocaust.

Just came to mind as I was looking over my stories.

Comedies

Life
Throughout my two years here on Bzpower, I've ran and watched Comedies. True, I'm better at voilent and mysterous stories, but every now and then, I need to have a laugh. But over the years, I've found something distressing; people are forcing comedies to be funnier and funnier. In real life, this is happening too. I find this wrong for various reasons, and if you want a rant, read on.

So, what is the purpose of comedies? Heck, what's the purpose of anything funny? In my oppinion (everyone has their own kind of humor, this is just mine), humor is something we all need. If there was a world with no humor, what would be the point of living? You go to work. You go home. You sleep. You repeat the cycle. Humor can't be explained by anyone; no more than people can explain joy or shame. It's something that varies from person to person, like all emotions, but humor has a special place. It's something that makes us laugh, breaks the every day schedule. It's something that breaks the fog of everyday hurt and pain and shows us a brighter side to things.

So then we have comedies. They can be drawings, writing, animation, real live shows. Comedies are made just for the purpose to make you laugh; but they also are made with another goal in mind. Comedies show you both the good and the bad in the world; I'll use one of my favorite comedies, Reba, as an example. In Reba, you at least get a good laugh once per episode. But is it a 'laugh your head off every three seconds' show? No, and this isn't what any comedy should be.

These days, as the world grows more bloody and painful, people want comedies to be funnier and funnier. But that's not what a comedy is! A comedy shows the world in a funny way; but it shows both the good and the bad. Comedies are there to make us laugh, yes, but they are also there to show us that the world isn't all bad.

The day comedies become 'laughs and no more' is the day I lose all the little hope I have left for this world.

Writer Contests

Contests
I'm thinking about hosting a writing contest. Should fasicnate you big writers out there. *Looks at Inferna, Rock, HD*

It seems the name has confused people. I'm not saying that previous writing contests suck; the goal of these contests would be to make a writer a better writer. I appolgize for the misunderstand. Changed the name.

Work Begins!

Outbreak Talk
After a month of saying work had begun on Outbreak: The Movie, work actually begins! I'll be creating backgrounds for the scenes for right now, not actually doing character animation, but once I get all the backgrounds done, I should have mastered character creation. I'll be discussing who'll do the actually moving animation with Exo, but for now, expect your jobs/lines being sent to you via PM.

Let's do this.

WARNING:

The following blog contains excessive rambling on the world and extremely poor paragraphing. If you are easily offended or turned off by these two things, leaving now would be a good idea.

This blog is written by Alex Humva, penname of some random teenager named Alex Censored. He writes stories, writes rants, writes screenplays, plays games, makes games, has a terrible work ethic, and is generally sarcastic. He believes in a Judao-Christian god, but most other people who do too give him a glare because of his weird beliefs, possibly because he's somehow bi at the same time. He's an utter equalist who feels that any discrimination amongst humans for things they were born with is wrong. He doesn't care about xenos though, let them all burn.

He's also an aspiring engineer who hopes to get a scholarship at his local big engineering college and one day help humanity. More likely he'll be a pencil pusher in a basement somewhere, but he's a bloody minded optimist.

Because of his peculiar personality and beliefs, he gets into fights often, though they usually end when he wakes up the next morning and doesn't feel motivated anymore.
