I started the day with a nice talk with my science teacher about the weekend and my sister's former fiance going into the army next month. Easily the most human conversation I've had with a teacher in a while, so that was cool.
After class I started what is going to be a new tradition -- Free Kyle Hug Day -- just for the heck of it, so that was pretty cool and I had some fun time with a few friends.
Of course then Creative Writing rolled around and that was going well, until some random number called my phone in the middle of class despite the fact that I remember turning the volume down this morning. So my phone got taken for the first time ever. After class I had to go and talk to my teacher about something else -- specifically that I won't be at the school on Thursday due to a field trip for my aforementioned science class (we get to see dozens of cadavers woo!)
He told me not to worry about what I'm going to miss in both of his classes (cause I have him for Creative Writing and American Lit) so I was like "K." I also used the opportunity to receive a quest from him -- specifically, get a bag of beef jerky and exchange it for the phone, otherwise I would've had to wait until tomorrow to get it and that would have sucked.
So after trekking quite a ways through hazardous terrain I managed to get the beef jerky. I won't go into details about the adventure, but it was very adventurous and dangerous and I had a tragic and emotional imaginary journey. Case in point I went to the nearby grocery store and bought beef jerky and also a lollipop.
Yes.
So yeah. Anyway I got back to the school and had to wait for class to start, so that was boring. Except for the pain coming from two of my fingers, because I scrapped them fairly badly against a wall when I went to talk to my English teacher. But whatever.
So class started finally and I presented the beef jerky to my teacher in a very ritualistic manner and received my phone back in return. On the way to my desk I had to verbally battle with several people to explain what happened, as well as how I could have gotten my phone taken away earlier that day if I hadn't had that particular class yet and then explain how I got it taken away because I had a different class with that teacher and then explain why I was taking two English classes and then explain who would want to do that and why. So that was fun; I think I came off as kind of rude, though, but still.
Anyway, nothing interesting after that, although I found out some interesting facts about the wasteful "recycling" of rubber tires that many recycling companies do -- specifically burning them or leaving them for mosquitoes (my mortal enemy along with cheese products) to use for breeding grounds, but I won't rant about that.
Eventually I got home and realized that I needed to finish an essay, but of course both of my computers were being used. To burn time while waiting I called that number that had called me and resulted in the aforementioned phone-taken-away-ness, but of course no one answered because it was a disconnected number, which means that it was probably a telemarketer using that number or something; frankly I didn't understand the explanation I got for what telemarketers do with disconnected numbers, but whatever.
So, since that didn't work, I watched the last episode of The Walking Dead while I continued to wait for a computer to free up. Of course in the middle of it one of them overheated and started to... do overheated stuff? Yeah. So that made things take even longer.
So once that was cleared up and I got on the computer I did stuff on BZPower, added some stuff to my essay and now I'm here, writing this entry. And it is fun. And interesting.
Yes.
Anyway, beef jerky. Field trips. Phones. Yeah. Interesting day.
