Things. And stuff
I've decided to update my blog every tiem I update one of my stories, so... yeah. I'll start with this one.
Chapter 15 -- IMO, one of the more interesting chapters so far. For once, I've actually gotten around to going into the thoughts and feelings of a bad guy -- and hopefully I'll be able to do that more often. It turns out that Vuelo -- a Dark Hunter and former Toa -- does, in fact, dwell on what his life would be like if he had not abandoned his home so soon after becoming a Toa of Earth. Not only that, but he also questions Makuta Jaeda's and Makuta Xaeda's truthfulness.
Meanwhile, Dága -- another DH and former Toa -- painfully stumbles upon a prototype of the Makuta twins' CHIMERA augmentation, in a way oddly similar to (Spider-Man 3 spoilers below)
Shortly after, he falls unconcious, and... stuff happens. (BTW, excuse me for referencing the completely unrelated movie -- I couldn't help myself.
)
So, anyway, meanwhile (again,) in Ko-Exa, Makuta Jaeda reveals to a slightly-possessed Toa Kovian the "truth" about his odd character change. In doing so, she also frames several Dark Hunters -- and knowing that fact, the Shadowed One's spy, Arcane, is sure to report this back to him. What the DH leader will do remains to be seen. Who knows -- he might just avoid an all-out war on the Makuta and send Arcane after Kovian.
So, yeah. Again, interesting to me, possibly interesting to you -- I don't know. If I'm lucky, maybe some more people will read past the first few chapters (which, I admit, are not as good as they could be) and start frequenting the story. =P

Kay, so, currently, I'm planning for the second part of my epic series, Aftermath. So, I decided to throw in a Halo reference -- a Gravemind-esque character.
The only problem? He needs a name.
WARNING: Halo spoiler(ish) things inside!
For those of you who have played Halo, you should know who the Gravemind is. For those who don't, I'll explain.
The Gravemind is, essentially, the controlling body of the Flood, a parasitic alien that is capable of mutating sentient life into zombie-like creatures. The Gravemind is incredibly smart, and, in several ways, very sophisticated.
So, in honor of Bungie, I decided to include a character kind of like this in Aftermath 2: Dark Deeds (hopefully to be started some time in either November or December.) I need a name, however (as already stated.) Credit will, of course, be given to whoever's name I decide to use.
I have two rules/preferences for this, however:
-I would prefer for it to sound dark. Something Gravemind-ish, which implies evil.
-It can not be Gravemind. That would be rude and unoriginal of me.
Nothing too big, and nothing too restricting.
If you are interested in supplying an idea for a name, simply post it in the comments section. All help is greatly appreciated and will earn you a place in the credits section of the DD review topic for helping. =)
