Profile Feed Alert

This isn't major, but I find it slightly annoying to have to go back and forth from my profile to the forums when I am checking my profile feed as well. Do you think you could put up a notification thing for that? Like an icon up over your name like when you get a new PM? I don't know how hard it would be or how reasonable that would be after the "hack-job" that the site just recovered from, but I feel like it would be useful.
