I think it would be helpful if there was a publicly-visible proto bar on member profiles. Since proto energy tells whether the user is a helpful or unhelpful part of the site, I think it would benefit people to know this information about a user in case they want to approach them for help on something.
Couldn't you just find one of their posts?
Well, I guess. Part of the thing that made me post this was looking at how inaccurate the star rating system can be. Maybe if that was replaced with a proto bar? Sure, that would probably take some modification to the PHP, but it would fit better I think.Couldn't you just find one of their posts?
That sounds like a good idea. I don't pay too much attention to proto bars at times, but it would be time-consuming to try to find a post by them to see the proto bar. Maybe we could keep the stars, and add in a proto bar. The stars would be a way for common people to vote on how helpful the member is, and the proto bar is for admins to use to say how helpful the member is.
This should actually be fairly easy to implement. It shouldn't be more than one line of code, or only little more.

I tried adding the spinnies and OBZPC/staff masks, but there wasn't enough room. Just the Proto bar under the user photo will have to do.
