Suggestion
It is a button whitch what you can thank a post without posting a post this would spare some forum_space, so the poster can see you are gratefull without you posting something
"Oh your drawnings are so beautiful"
*Owner of drawning presses thank you button under the post*
No its more like this, eg:
"Oh your drawnings are so beautiful"
*Owner of drawning presses thank you button under the post*
Those kind of posts aren't allowed anyway. Usually you have to say why you like or dislike the drawings. That's the sort of responses we generally prefer.

Yeah I know but I don't like typing so I kept my example short
And the button is there to prevent posts like: thank you, thx,....
And yeah, popularity will rule it, which would make it almost meaningless.

But I also agree with ET in that the acknowledgements shouldn't upset the flow of the posts like all the "change severity" lines do.
I don't know about other members, but to me, this seems pretty pointless. While it is nice nice to acknowledge thoughtful, constructive posts, this possible feature seems like it's much to specialized. Also, if you do want to acknowledge someone's thought provoking post, you can always respond to it or PM the poster. The way I see this, it isn't part of the rating system. It would be for a topic starter to acknowledge posts in their topic. It would kind of be like a "like" feature, but if it could somehow be restricted to just the topic's original poster, then it could be useful in the creative forums.
I can see it happening on the blogs, but on topics it'd detract too much.
Indeed maybe you are right about the blog thing.
By the way, I Love your work!
Invision has its own similar built-in system we could consider using that can be set up several ways:
- Positive reputation points
- Negative reputation points
- Both positive and negative reputation points
- Like System (Positive rep only, visible names)
We can also enable/disable showing reputation on profiles and on content (posts, topics, blog entries, etc).
I may start a poll or something to get more feedback, as decision seems to be split here.
And man never seen such an equal voting
