Suggestion
Mkay, so this is something that has kinda been bugging me for a while, so I figured I'd make a ticket here. =P Basically, as you all know, when you type B and ) together, ti comes out with B). I'm wondering if we can change that to
. As it is, you are unable to post a lettered list using parenthesis without the second becoming an emoticon:
A) See how
B) This list
C) Looks weird?
Changing it to
would solve this, and would put an end to awkward emoticon-lists.
A) See how

That would probably break every time anyone had used it for the emoticon in the past though. I think it could be done.
No, that won't happen due the post is saved with the emoticon code instaid of the two letters its a bit like the words that will be replaced
I'm pretty sure it's saved as B)No, that won't happen due the post is saved with the emoticon code instaid of the two letters its a bit like the words that will be replaced
As a work around, you can disable emoticons in a post or trick it by doing something like this:
[size=14]:[/size])
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't posts saved both as BBcode and as HTML in the database? While the former should save it as B), the latter should save the image. So as long as you don't proceed to edit and re-submit an old post using the B) emoticon, it should stay that way.I'm pretty sure it's saved as B)

It would appear that changing the emoticon does change it in previously made posts.
To me this looks unsolvable, but I should still change It I would prefer old posts reading the lettered emoticon than lists with this B)

After thinking this over, I've made the change. You can now type B) without fear of it being turned into an emoticon.
