Sign Of The Apocalypse

Duelmasters
Well, it's that time again to do another review of a Duelmaster card. This time, I'll be doing a spell, but as always, there will be plenty of helpful tips as how to use the card best.

So let's give it up for:

Apocalypse Vise!

This spell just could be one of the best Fire cards of its kind. It allows you to destroy all of your opponent's creatures with 8000 power or less. Since many good normal creatures, Evolution creatures, and even a small percentage of Very and Super Rares have this strength, this can decimate your opponent. This card will destroy all but a few super-poweful blockers, and can reduce an enemy army of creatures to shreds.

It works best in two kinds of disruptive Fire decks. The first is the Fire and Darkness destruction kind. Aside from old standard shadowy spells like Death Smoke and Terror Pit, Apocalypse Vise can provide a great late-game sweep to let your attacking creatures deliver the finishing blows unblocked. In the other kind, the Fire and Nature mana masher, it is used to prevent enemy creatures from getting in your hair, while other Fire spells, such as the equally pandemonium-causing Catacylsmic Eruption (and its smaller, Nature version, Mana Crisis) will destroy all of your opponent's mana. That way, they cannot summon other creatures to replace the ones removed by Apocalypse Vise. Sure, it doesn't destroy all enemies, but that's what Invincible Abyss is for.

Ballom's Rating: 5/5. While a tad expensive, Apocalyse Vise is an awesome card, and fun to use.

I actually built a deck that uses mana destroying as its main weapon. It has two catalysimc eruptions and four mana crisis in it.

Cool. I suppose it also has creatures such as Bolshack in it?

Nope, I don't own a Bolshock, but I use Bolzard (its ability fits in nicely with the decks theme) as one of my power creatures in the deck.

Oh yeah, I meant Bolzard. Silly me, I always get those two mixed up. At least Boltail and Bolgash are more easily distinguished.

Cool. So I guess you have a Light deck and a Fire and Nature deck.

BTW, I'll tell you when we should trade stuff via mail. Thanks again for the cards.

Actually my mana-eater deack (as I like to call it tongue.gif ) has a bit of light cards thrown in for blocking purposes. No problem smile.gif

Ah, I see. Although I usually find a deck with 3 or more Civilizations is hard to use. I used to have a Light, Darkness, and Fire deck, but . . . . shrugs.gif

If I May Quote Myself

In blog entry "An Analogy -- Life is like a Rubik's Cube: sometimes you need to screw everything up to get it all right."
Or everyone. Posted Image

In response to Seran's WIP image of his Boxor MOC
Although this may be a completely wild guess, I do believe that is a picture.

In blog entry "Dlakii"
Oh my. I didn't know that they made metal sporks.

In "Is there ever a time when you can't post?"
No, since I can always to to GD and post a couple hundred times. XD

In response to "I've forgotten how to blog"
Click "Add entry". Then enter a moronic title. Then click on the text section, mash your keyboard with your fists for as long as you wish, and post it. Congratulations, you now can blog better than the majority of BZP.

In response to "How often do you accidentally post in the wrong topic?
Never. I have these magical devices called eyes and this thing called a brain which prevent that. They're quite handy.

In "The weakest element"
Xenon, or perhaps Radon and Argon. Really, a Toa of Noble Gas can't control much at all, due to how few things they bond with. Xenon hexafluoride is all that immediately comes to mind, in fact.

In "Hardest thing to MOC"
Fluffy pink tutus. Mainly because of the slight handicap of pink Bionicle pieces not existing.

In "Talking to staff members"
Talking to staff members? Well, I'm generally okay with it as long as I have my pepper spray nearby.

In "Mask powers"
Hurr durr.

In "What did you do during the downtime"
I sat in a shadowy corner in a fetal position for five days, rocking back and forth in a crazed manner.

In "How do you imagine yourself on BZP?"
I am a Nidoking, obviously. How these stubby little claws are capable of typing on a keyboard I'll never know. :P

In blog entry "Bascula"
Hooray, I'm a geek.
