Pokemon
Yes, 'tis time for the Pokemon of the Week again. Blah, blah blah, etc. Today the PoTW is . . . Venomoth!

Venomoth is unique since, other than Yanmega, it is the only Pokemon who can use the ability Tinted Lens. This allows Venomoth's shallow movepool to bypass the conventional shielding of "it's not very effective", doubling the power of resisted hits. That, along with its decent Special Attack and Speed, makes the bug a usable Pokemon.

Here's the best way to exploit Tinted Lens:

Venomoth @ Choice Specs
Timid Nature
6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Bug Buzz
~ Sludge Bomb
~ Psychic
~ Sleep Powder

Bug Buzz and Sludge Bomb together make a good combo, only being resisted by a handful of Pokemon. Psychic handles some of Venomoth's common threats, such as Nidoking, Nidoqueen, and Tentacruel. Finally, Sleep Powder can put the rest of Venomoth's counters out of commision. Of course, if you don't feel comfortable using a status move in conjunction with Choice Specs, you can replace it with HP Ground or HP Fighting.

Ballom's Rating: 3/5. For its wonderful ability, Venomoth is too slow and fragile (in comparison to many OU Pokemon) to be used to any great effect. Still, it can be fun to use, on occasion.

Hmm, nice review. I personnaly like using Venomoth, I just need to breed the Lvl58 one I caught, and evolve the Venonat.

3/5 is an average score, seems to fit Venomoth well.

Sadly, I've never actually had a Venomoth. Anyway, at least Kopakalaka can't complain about my ratings anymore. tongue.gif

You're rating's too long for a UU Pokemon. mad.gif

Just kidding! tongue.gif

I wish I was more into the UU Pokemon. I'd train some up....

UU Pokemon can be useful, as many people who play OU have no idea how to counter them. tongue.gif

Yeah, I saw a vid of a good battler get destroyed 'cause he couldn't handle Rotom.

Rotom is awesome. He's a dual type, but only has the weaknesses of Ghost. Of course, he's also Borderline, not UU.

If I May Quote Myself

In blog entry "An Analogy -- Life is like a Rubik's Cube: sometimes you need to screw everything up to get it all right."
Or everyone. Posted Image

In response to Seran's WIP image of his Boxor MOC
Although this may be a completely wild guess, I do believe that is a picture.

In blog entry "Dlakii"
Oh my. I didn't know that they made metal sporks.

In "Is there ever a time when you can't post?"
No, since I can always to to GD and post a couple hundred times. XD

In response to "I've forgotten how to blog"
Click "Add entry". Then enter a moronic title. Then click on the text section, mash your keyboard with your fists for as long as you wish, and post it. Congratulations, you now can blog better than the majority of BZP.

In response to "How often do you accidentally post in the wrong topic?
Never. I have these magical devices called eyes and this thing called a brain which prevent that. They're quite handy.

In "The weakest element"
Xenon, or perhaps Radon and Argon. Really, a Toa of Noble Gas can't control much at all, due to how few things they bond with. Xenon hexafluoride is all that immediately comes to mind, in fact.

In "Hardest thing to MOC"
Fluffy pink tutus. Mainly because of the slight handicap of pink Bionicle pieces not existing.

In "Talking to staff members"
Talking to staff members? Well, I'm generally okay with it as long as I have my pepper spray nearby.

In "Mask powers"
Hurr durr.

In "What did you do during the downtime"
I sat in a shadowy corner in a fetal position for five days, rocking back and forth in a crazed manner.

In "How do you imagine yourself on BZP?"
I am a Nidoking, obviously. How these stubby little claws are capable of typing on a keyboard I'll never know. :P

In blog entry "Bascula"
Hooray, I'm a geek.
