When Trees Attack!

Pokemon
Because it's that time again! ohmy.gif

Today we have, for PotW, Shiftry!

Shiftry has a few neat little tools in its arsenal, such as Chlorophyll and its high Attack and Sp. Attack stats. It can easily do a lot of damage, and is a solid Dark type.

Shiftry @ Heat Rock
Modest Nature
6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Sunny Day
~ Solarbeam
~ Hidden Power (Fire)
~ Dark Pulse

Set up Sunny Day, power up Solarbeam and prepare to sweep. HP Fire gets a nice boost from Sunny Day as well, allowing you to flatten Bugs who would otherwise kill you. Basically, go on a rampage until the Sun runs out. Of course, beware the ever-present TTar, Hippowdon, and Abomasnow. Although the latter will fear HP Fire. Dark Pulse mentioned for basic STAB, as well as the flinch chance. And before you use this set, set up Stealth Rock, as Focus Sash Pokemon will spell disaster for you.

Shifty @ Focus Sash
Mild/Rash Nature
6 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Energy Ball
~ Dark Pulse
~ Nasty Plot
~ Explosion

Speaking of Focus Sash . . . This is similar to the last set, but operated very differently. First off, use Nasty Plot. Even if you are attacked, Focus Sash will save you. Then, use your STAB moves to sweep until a counter comes in. Once it does, Explode in its face for a hopeful KO. Again, beware of opponent Focus Sashes, as well as the Sand Stream Pokemon. Steel Pokemon can be troublesome as well (In particular Metagross and Lucario have evil priority moves) so a good Fire type is recommended.

Ballom's Rating: 5/5! I haven't given that rating in a while (I think), but Shiftry deserves it! I always love Grass Pokemon, and it is no exception.

Now tune in for the next episode of When Trees Attack!*, featuring Sudowoodo! Not really.

~B~

*Disclaimer: Trees should not attack, or make any movement at all. If you notice such behavior, please notify your local Tree Control Center immediately.

My Shiftry's saved me on numerous occasions. One of my favorite grass types. By far.

Yeah, Shiftry is a nice fellow. What moveset does yours have?

Oh, I haven't played in forever. I know it had Giga Drain, Solar Beam, some other moves. I dunno, really. I just know it saved me a lot of times.

It rocks. 'Nuff said. tongue.gif

Interesting. I don't see many Shiftry. I think the second set is better. TTar completely ruins the first one. I guess in Bionicle Legends/UU it shouldn't matter much, though.

What if we don't have a Tree Control Center? unsure.gif

Then I'm guessing it's in R/S/E?

No, it's a Grass/Dark type, not Rock.

LOL at the word filter. You have to say B L.

For the first set, just eliminate Sand Stream Pokemon before setting up Sunny Day.

And if you don't have a Tree Control Center, stay out of forests as you might get hurt. tongue.gif

What do you mean? It says Shiftry there, and even in your quote. I have no idea what you are talking about. sarcasm.gif lookaround.gif

If I May Quote Myself

In blog entry "An Analogy -- Life is like a Rubik's Cube: sometimes you need to screw everything up to get it all right."
Or everyone. Posted Image

In response to Seran's WIP image of his Boxor MOC
Although this may be a completely wild guess, I do believe that is a picture.

In blog entry "Dlakii"
Oh my. I didn't know that they made metal sporks.

In "Is there ever a time when you can't post?"
No, since I can always to to GD and post a couple hundred times. XD

In response to "I've forgotten how to blog"
Click "Add entry". Then enter a moronic title. Then click on the text section, mash your keyboard with your fists for as long as you wish, and post it. Congratulations, you now can blog better than the majority of BZP.

In response to "How often do you accidentally post in the wrong topic?
Never. I have these magical devices called eyes and this thing called a brain which prevent that. They're quite handy.

In "The weakest element"
Xenon, or perhaps Radon and Argon. Really, a Toa of Noble Gas can't control much at all, due to how few things they bond with. Xenon hexafluoride is all that immediately comes to mind, in fact.

In "Hardest thing to MOC"
Fluffy pink tutus. Mainly because of the slight handicap of pink Bionicle pieces not existing.

In "Talking to staff members"
Talking to staff members? Well, I'm generally okay with it as long as I have my pepper spray nearby.

In "Mask powers"
Hurr durr.

In "What did you do during the downtime"
I sat in a shadowy corner in a fetal position for five days, rocking back and forth in a crazed manner.

In "How do you imagine yourself on BZP?"
I am a Nidoking, obviously. How these stubby little claws are capable of typing on a keyboard I'll never know. :P

In blog entry "Bascula"
Hooray, I'm a geek.
