BZPRPG: ILS / SH hostage situation

Posted by Katuko , Aug 14 2012 · 198 views

So, AuRon is still offline, and we are all tired of having our characters stand around doing nothing in the middle of nowhere. We will have to resolve this situation one way or another, preferably ASAP.

Current situation: Part of the ILS was said to move towards the meeting place, while the SH members are frozen because AuRon's character Sideways, as the leader, doesn't give orders.

To remedy this situation, I will repeat the proposals I made in the RPG discussion topic. We could do this by vote, but I'd like people  to state their own opinions and ideas as well.

My solutions:

1) The role-playing way. The other Shadow Hapaka members ignore Sideway's existence for the time being and continue with the plot as if he was simply not there/stayed behind in the cave because he's the leader.

2) The plot is resolved OOC, and IC we just do a fittingly large time-skip.
i) The ILS returns to Ko-Wahi with the Matoran, and the SH has gotten their money after an hither-to unknown Toa of Iron showed up to make widgets aplenty.
ii) The Matoran somehow escape the hostage-takers on their own, denying the SH their ransom and the ILs their glory for rescuing them.
iii) The ILS returns to Ko-Koro with most of the Matoran, a fight having erupted between the groups. We mention some minor scratches on both sides and no one is really happy with how it turned out.
iv) AVALANCHE because of all the SHOUTING back and forth. Everyone scrambles. Again, neither side wins. Matoran fate undecided.
v) 4) The Matoran all die in a freak Muaka accident. Ransom is now moot.

3) Half-arsed IC solution: The two groups meet. The ILS admits they have no money. The SH doesn't know what to do. Neither side wants a fight. After some deep, philosophical discussion, the two groups end up as future allies and part as friends.

This post is open for anyone who owns a BZPRPG character in either group. Please do not post here if you are not involved with the plot. Thanks.

Demetrius can supply the money that's needed, be it IC or during a timeskip.
I say we do the avalanche. OOC or IC, don't care, so long as we get out of Ko-Wahi and idleness.
1) Are there actually any other Shadow Hapaka members who are still active?

2)
i) Not bad.
ii) Pretty good.
iii) Possible.
iv) Much better.
v) :D

3) My personal favourite.

I really like the philosophical debate, but Matoran escaping on their own sounds like a really good outcome as well.

Personally I'm for ii, although frankly I'm fine with almost anything as long as it gets us moving again.
For me, i) or ii). No need for any unnecessary angst that comes with Matoran death.

1) Are there actually any other Shadow Hapaka members who are still active?

yes.

I'd go with 2i, if possible. all the matoran won't escape in some freak accident, and the ILS gets praised for rescue while the SH get money. Everybody wins!
Perhaps we should mix 2i with Demetrius being the money-lender, then? Everybody gets what they came for, for the most part?
I say we have a freak Muaka attack. It would be a fun ending.

I'm in favor of the avalanche, but I'll be happy with whatever makes it end most quickly.
Since AuRon is still not back, I guess we'll just go with 2i for the benefit of everyone. A decent sum of money is attained from Demetrius, ILS returns to Ko-Koro with the Matoran, Shadow Hapaka run off wherever they want.

Just to draw the conclusion: Assume a small time-skip has happened. All ILS members may all proceed to IC from Ko-Koro, mission complete.

... I'm off to bed. XD
Hooray mission accomplished
