This happens to quite a lot of people. I never really had to "get into it" since Problem Sleuth hooked me into the MSPA before I started on HS, but yeah. A lot of people are shocked when they start enjoying Homestuck, which I is cool. A new reader is never a bad thing, so long as they're enjoying themselves.

The comic has always been great. The problem is with the fandom - trust me, I'm a homestuck hipster, I liked it before it was cool.

Just read it and enjoy, and ignore the people attached if you can.

I would read BZPStuck, but see, every time I go to the topic the sheer amount of images and animations cause my browser to freeze up so badly and for so long that I just have to kill the process over and over until it's unable to recover the tab and thus can't freeze up again.

I have a horrible computer.

They have a website up for BZPStuck. Maybe that would help, because it is one page per screen.

Almpst any derivative of Homestuck is improved by reading the source material, as there will be jokes referring back to Homestuck in almost all of them.
