Add a link to Blogs on mobile site

How does it not work? And what exactly doesn't work? The Gallery link? The mobile version? Remember that we need as much information as possible to fix something that's broken.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly why this is happening, but it'll take a little bit to dig into the skin to get it working. Maybe I should actually start using the mobile site every now and then.

I've tweaked the mobile site code a little bit. I may be showing up now, if anyone wants to check and let me know. You might need to clear your cache or similar.

Okay, so I determined the problem. We have a custom hack in our skin so that clicking the 'Blogs' link in the header takes you to this view instead of this view. Basically we hide the default button and make our own.

Now I tried doing that on the mobile skin, but it still seems to recognize that we're hiding the blog link.

So, unless I can find another workaround, our options are:

• Keep things how they are - easy
• Switch to the original blog link and get the button on the mobile skin - easy
• Find another way to hack this stuff to work - not easy

well.... my new phone HATES the site. it restarts when I try to go on. something about a handler....
It's a samsung a920 BTW. so not very advanced.... but my first phone was just fine with the site. but that was the beginning of high school. who knows whats changed in 3 and a half years.
my HTChero was (relatively) fine with the site.

While this is a rather annoying issue, it can easily be dealt with by switching to the full version of BZP on your mobile phone, clicking the link to the blogs, then switching back to mobile and saving the blogs page as a favourite or bookmark. It's a one-time thing that only takes a minute.

Spending a minute to bookmark the page > B6 spending hours/days/months trying to find a fix.

My vote is to keep things as they are; I implemented the above solution, and the lack of a link to the blogs doesn't hinder my browsing in the slightest.

On mobile-capable devices, there is a text link in the gray area on the bottom of the screen that reads "Use mobile version".

I'm gonna have to look for this...

There have been several software upgrades since I made that post, so it's very possible something changed. This might make it easier, if we're lucky.
