And considering there's two Gatas, if the slingshot malfunctions, well, we get a second try!

Easier version of your idea, Waffles: have Gata become a German spy, who meets with an American Air Force member on a mission, falls in love, and gets married.

Sounds like a plan! We have relatives living in South Carolina and others in Georgia. Maybe they could arrange something.

Better save the money for a BZPower member who has serious economic problems, though. Money obviously is an issue, too, (else we could go to Paris and to the US in one summer) but it's not the main issue. If you did raise money for us to get to the US, somehow I'd feel that wouldn't be fair. :/ There are people in greater need of it. Not to mention that you'd need to pay for two people and not just one, and then there is whereabouts and all. A flight to the US from here is such a hassle that we want it to be for more than only BrickFair (you know, actually see some of the country). But the fact that you considered it is yet another reason for us to come! Trust me, we will come sooner than later. Not sure if next year, but 2014 should be a more likely possibility.

Yes, you're right.

But that gives me a good idea: a charity run by FOLS to pay for economically challenged LEGO fans to visit conventions. Now, I understand that LEGO is not a cheap hobby, so the chances are that serious LEGO fans aren't completely impoverished, but there is still a great gap between very poor and being able to pay for their own trips. This would be a great way to give back to the community and give people a great experience.

Right now it's just an idea, but I'd love to make it reality.
