Would be awesome if we could have a way to verify everyone's age. Not only to see what the demographic on our site is like these days, but also so people like Greg Farshtey could post again, as Lego doesn't allow its employees to post on sites w/o it.
I believe it's come up before that the problem with this is that it's so easy to lie about your age on the internet that I believe the staff don't see it as changing much. A general minimum age would dampen the family-friendly atmosphere of the site, and outside of that I don't know of any way to make sure there are places only people of a certain age can post outside of making a new member group that the staff would have to manually add accounts to when they come of age.
We've discussed requiring members to enter their birthdays so we can have an eighteen-and-up forum or something like that. Personally though, I don't want to restrict anyone from joining or limit what they can access based on their age. BZP is a family-friendly site for people of all ages.
