Color Selection

So, here's the problem.
I practically always am using a color in my posts, whether it's simply for style or for a purpose, like showing which character is being RPed.
Just yesterday I got a nice new laptop (Windows 8), and have found that when I'm trying to post, it won't pull up the color selection menu. The button is lighter, like it's been pressed, but no way for me to select a color comes up.
While I can do without color, it's something I usually do and I feel more comfortable that way.

You can manually type the BBCode until it's fixed btw
Ok, is there any sort of guide to that? I have absolutely no experience with BBCode, so I'd need something to go off.

Is it only the color button? It sounds like you're switched out of the RTE. Click the light-switch on the upper left corner of the editor and try again.

@Black Six: Yeah, it's only the color button. I can use fonts and sizes, but for whatever reason in the tracker it goes away once I post it. The fonts and stuff stay in the forums. For example, I'm typing this in Comic Sans MS, but I can't choose a color.
EDIT: OK, this is really weird. As I'm editing, there's tags like '{font='comic sans ms', cursive}', except with bracket, but once I exit editing, it stays in the default. This has only happened to me in the tracker, so far.

We just upgraded our forum software, so see if this is still persisting.
Yep, the color selection part persists. I'm using BBCode for the colors, currently.

I was only having this problem on my other computer, and as I'm back to using a different one, this issue is somewhat moot.

If it's only happening on one computer, it sounds like the issue is on your end, unfortunately. Have you tried using the computer that was having the problem since the upgrade?
