Its Own Sort Of Beauty

Though never to the extent you have, I've been there.  I too see some sort of miserable beauty in tragedy--it's all just part of the human condition, right?

 

But I know that whatever you're going through, you're going to make it.  And if you ever need an ear or a shoulder, you know to hit me up. 

But not literally, because hitting hurts.

Very poetic. I think the human condition is quite beautiful as well, and to be honest even toys, games, books, and TV shows-- often considered just materialistic nonsense-- seem beautiful to me when I consider the humanity of their creators and the odds they were working against. I like to think that any type of creator puts a little reflection of their soul into everything they work on. Sometimes our perception of beauty is stained by our tendency to idealize the things and people we love and lose sight of the less glamorous side of things: the hard work and dedication it might have taken for those things and people to become beautiful. But in reality it's that effort to persevere, even if a person is just a short distance away from the point of losing hope entirely, that really makes a person beautiful and honorable.
