Now my Linkin Park collection is almost complete, just need the Live in Texas album.
Also got the half of the Cryoshell album about a week ago that wasn't in the Creeping In My Soul EP.

Clockwork Angels by Rush.
and Clockwork Angels by Rush
I happened to purchase Clockwork Angels by Rush yesterday. It is one of the greatest albums that has ever been made.

I kind of buy their albums now out of a sense of duty, given Linkin Park was one of the first bands I got into. I was a little disheartened at the price tag of £8.99, but just gritted my teeth and bought it anyway. I am not disappointed.

I was annoyed that the US got it after everywhere else, but it was worth it.

the whole album
for 99 cents
I love sales.
not bad at all for mainstream pop-rock. "We Are Young" is horrifically overplayed though, not even the best song on the album.

honestly i think these are two of the best albums i've bought this year. Living Things does an incredible job of bringing together the various styles Linkin Park has used over the last decade-plus into a single, cohesive album, and it's beautiful. the other album, Dead Pixels, is by an independent artist called LukHash whose style, as he describes it, is "8-bit rock". basically it combines chiptune sounds (produced with actual gameboys and C64s) with hard instrumental rock. seriously cool stuff.
i think i'll be writing full reviews of these on my blog at some point, i like them that much <3
oh and i also got the mine turtle song by lil deuce deuce, because who doesn't like mine turtles
