What annoys you on BZPower? For me, it's referring to the AA Toa Nuva as "Mistika" and "Phantoka", when technically, only Krika, Bitil, and Gorast are Mistika and only Antroz, Chirox, and Vamprah are Phantoka. Those terms apply to the Makuta, not the sets.

The fact that flame wars seem to erupt every now and then from things that shouldn't be argued over in the first place irritates me - though it really wouldn't be BZPower without the occasional bit of internet drama.

The word filter, though solid, really should be updated in some form or another, so as far as something that could easily be changed goes, that'll probably be it.

The meme has been fuelled by the dark flames of the self-proclaimed boss of the Internet that is too evil to even mention. That is why it cannot die.

Not that I have any problem with it.

Anyway, my pet peeve would be bad grammar. I don't really care about people starting sentences with 'And', but it's rather annoying to see some people forget capitalisation and full stops.

The video site can't be mentioned because the comments usually have a lot of profanity in them, which is actually a similar case with Twitter, yet that's allowed somehow. =/

Big signature images are exasperating most of the time, sometimes it takes awhile for the page to load if the images are too big. Also, I have no absolutely no problem with the MLP fad, it's much better than the fad that was going on right before the forums went down.

Anyway, I'd have to say the rule about a certain video site. I understand the intention behind it, but it still doesn't really make sense. I mean, MSPA has forums and no one seems to have a problem with talking about it, yet we aren't even allowed to mention a video site that pretty much everyone has heard of just because it has comments.

Also, the general attitude toward ArtIII. Sure, there are plenty of bad comics, but it really doesn't deserve the hate it gets and I wish more people would actually give it a chance. =/

Let me correct you on that. The staff are bound to the rules just as much as the members are. I suppose you are referring to the occasions when a video site that is forbidden on the forums is linked to on the front page. That exception is made when a video and its comments and links to other videos are appropiate. In the forums, it´s impossible to control all posted videos, so better not to allow them at all. On the front page it´s another matter because the staff controls what is posted there and knows it´s appropiate. In the forums, not even the Reporters who would post a link on the front page are allowed to link to any site you must not link to either.

My pet peeves are slow loading times when sending PMs, silly disputes and when people can´t simply respect the beliefs and hobbies of another.

You people can't seem to grasp the fact that Friendship is Magic is not a meme. Just like you are interested in Bionicle or Pokemon- You use banners of it or talk about it, people like FiM and use banners of it and talk about it. Most bronies I know of don't do it because it's a meme, they do it because they like it.

As for me it's mostly the people who hate Hero Factory/FiM/really anything and only use the exact same argument. Such as "HERO FACTORY SUCKS CAUSE IT REPLACED BIONICLE AND IT'S SETS ARE BABYISH RIPOFFS" and "MLP IS A LITTLE GIRLS SHOW SO ONLY LITTLE GIRLS SHOULD LIKE IT AND ANY GUY WHO LIKES IT IS NOT RIGHT IN THE HEAD" etc, etc. Really, arguments are fine and I believe they are healthy from time to time, but when you only bring up the same arguments that weren't extremely valid to begin with.

Mostly that a lot of the rules are very archaic and outdated, and that there doesn't seem to be much effort in the way of changing that. The word filter, social media, various other sites that aren't allowed to even be mentioned, let alone linked to, etc. Some of the reasons given, to me, don't really satisfy the times.

I also feel like there's an overall attitude that wouldn't allow this topic to actually be posted, but surprise surprise =P. There's definitely an air of "criticize me and you die", both from staff and members alike, that make it really hard to have open communication and dialogue; I'm hoping that this topic is indicative of a change in that feeling, and that people can learn to recognize constructive criticism, as opposed to taking everything as an insult.

Anyway, on the original topic, my biggest pet peeve would be the drama that comes up over nothing (or next to nothing). The word filter isn't my favorite thing either, but I get that there's a boatload of stuff that needs to be done faster.
And finally, I wish the buttons could be used in the post editor when you're in BBCode mode.

But I would say posting short stories. Unless you're already popular on BZPower, it's unlikely that you'll get more than a few posts on something that you've spent hours working on.

Funny thing about my post, I actually figured out how to link after I made the post. But thanks anyway guys.

So my other pet peeve is the fact that there's hardly anyone in the library. I haven't posted a story but the lack of attention to new authors is stunning.
