Otherwise known as BOIL INCE, eheheh.

So around fourteen months ago I started making 432 characters from the BIONICLE franchise in my somewhat distinctive style. The style I use is almost sprite like, but uses Illustrator to make the particular elements and then put them all together. It was a way to cut having to make the same things over and over from scratch, which is something I’ve never liked doing that much. Immediately when you look at all of this you can see plenty of problems, because the ultimate goal here was quantity over quality. One day I’ll certainly try and improve a number of these, but for now I’m just glad I finished.

Anyway, what I then did was made cards for each of the 432 characters I did, and then randomly placed them on this poster. There is no logic to their placement, which could mean it is more fun to search for the characters you’re interested in. Or not, hence the list below. But anyway, I had a great time making these, and I will probably use all of these for comics and such, making improvements and additions as things go on. So I guess enjoy!

Honestly? I can't say anything that would do this justice.

This, my friend, is some really stellar work. The vector art works to your advantage, and the sheer size of it...

The amount of characters and effort put into this is staggering. All my favorite characters were listed, all of them were done excellently, and I really do commend you on this.

Now that's dedication. The simplistic style works to keep characters easily distinguishable and definitely acts as an advantage in such a large-scale piece. Very, very cool.

I love it. The art is simple yet elegant. It captures the essence of every character and does each one justice without doing too much. Really quite perfect. It would be neat if you could implement these into some sort of trading card game, as they are the perfect kind of artwork for that.

... You drew the SEA SQUIDS. THE SEA SQUIDS.

This is brilliant. I love you man. In a completely platonic way of course.

My brain is currently oozing out my ears in the aftermath of the explosion that just took place inside my head.

This has got to be the one most detailed pieces of Bionicle art I've ever seen. Your style is great, and I love that you took the time and the effort to make something this insanely big.

I cannot compliment you enough on this, man. This is genius. :>

Pretty sure this was a one man band. Phyoohrii is so good he collaborates with himself.

Anyway Phy, great job on this. Interesting figure constructions system. Had a fun time looking at this, scrolled through the whole thing at 100%. I like the Vezon one a lot. :P

You could release a truckload of banners from this. Maybe userbars?

First off thanks for all the comments! I'm glad I've dazzled you all with the sheer quantity here, ahaha. But yeah, it means a lot, because of the amoung of effort I put into this.

EDIT: Oh forgot to mention, there's a landscape version if people care. Same gimmick. It's in the first post.

Shadow Reaper: It sure helps that I enjoyed making the majority of this. There were times that it was really annoying when Illustrator and such died on me and losing heaps of the work, plus about maybe a dozen or less had to be redone mostly from scratch because of corrupting of files. But yeah, it was mostly fun, that's how I had the patience to do it. People have known me for giving up on grand projects I start (and oh boy, have there been many of those, but here I've come through. As for what inspired me? Pretty much my own off the cusp remark that I should do all the sets, after making a not so good Nui-Rama/Kopen duo, and then that evolved into doing a lot of the other characters as well, just so I had a visual representation of them all, however accurate they may be. The number 432 was specifically chosen because it belongs to a string of numbers I find fascinating. But all the time I thought of doing a poster, maybe one day printing and such (but bear in mind, the proportions of the poster are not conventional sized).

Toa of Nerds: That was sort of my thinking in doing the cards, they'd make a great game of some sort. But I was never one to get into any of those sort of things, and don't really know how it could work beyond being collectibles anyway. Someone else could work it out if they were that way inclined. I believe it would be madness.

Hubert: Pfft, Sea Squids are way more important than some of the stuff I put in there. Like, all the characters that only featured in the GBA games. I don't even know. Thank you, the platonic feeling is mutual.

P962: Sure you don't need me telling you now, but B-Shelf and Maj were down for the past few days, which was a bummer. Should be alright now. But that place needs donations and stuff to meet the demand, I think I should do that myself actually sometime, considering the 6 nearly 7 years that I've used it.

Tahu Nuva 3.0: It would have been less mad if it was a collaborative work. Alas, all the 'toil' was mine. (by toil, it's still way less than any proper artist would do to have the same amount of characters. by a long way)

55555: Maybe? I probably would only really do it on request though, I have plenty of things on my plate (and I haven't even started semester again!).

Wow, that is amazing, Phyroohii. The fact that you set out to complete this project and actually completed it says a lot. Some of the graphics don't seem up-to-par to the rest details-wise, but all-in-all it's a fantastic(ally large) poster.

Whoa, man. That's a huge one. They're all good, but three caught my attention:
Lhikan ( he's my favorite Toa ), Krekka ( seems really dumb! ) and Hakann ( who looks like a gangsta bully ). Also, Element Lords are very well done. And VNOG ones made me remember how good was that game in my opinion. Oh, and grats for reaching the front page!
Excellent work, my brother.

you nailed every single one. And Artahka is just epic. Seriously, i can't thing of a single character you didn't draw, besides some rahi and dark hunters. Even Tren krom! Even Annona! COME ON! THIS IS SO FREAKING EPIC!

Oh my god... I just noticed Nuhrii is making his own future mask. That is just about the most epic thing I have ever seen on this forum.

This is really neat, and I can appreciate how much work went into this. Very Cool....but I think you missed one character. I have been looking and looking and I have not seen a picture of Charger the Dark Hunter. I checked the image, checked the character list, and checked the character gallery and he is not listed that I can see. I hope I am mistaken, and that he is in there, because he is one of my favorite characters. Thanks,

My favorites are easily Vortex Makuta and Karzahni (unmutated). However, all of these are superb, and it shows true dedication and responsibility to actually finish a project as ambitious as this. What with the hundreds (thousands?) of characters in the BIONICLE franchise, it's inevtiable you may have missed one, but this is an easily pardonable offense.

Major congratulations to you, sir! :)

WOW. Just plain WOW.
This takes dedication, skill, patience, a love of BIONICLE, and a bunch of other stuff I'm too lazy to mention right now.
Well done.

This is just AWESOME! This community never ceases to amaze me with their talent :D Great work! I'm sure I'll eventually have this as a poster in my room to remind me of the good ol' days. xD
Play Battlefield 3 on PS3? Consider yourself pretty good at it? Add me so we can dominate together! PM me for my gamertag if you're interested! xD

This is amazing! Truly amazing! I love your takes on the characters that never got photos, especially the Kyry, original Gorast and the Rahkshi we didn't get to see illustrated. Great job!

A truly amazing feet! How long did it take you to do this? I mean some of the characters like Jebraz and Boomonga have no canonical forms!

I looked at all 432. Absolutely stunning, I enjoyed this very much, and I'm impressed you actually made all of them. (Yay Kyry! :br:)

W...Wow. I commend you on your devotion, dedication and determination. That must have taken an eon to produce, and yet it still all looks pretty much perfect. Of course, there's so much of it, I can hardly look through it all. Well done.

I went through them one by one, they're all amazing, I love you represented some of them- for example, multiple Toa forms.

Poor Lariska, one of my favorite character, last one..

I'm pretty sure that Helryx carries a mace, not a flail. A flail has the spiked ball on a chain, like you drew, but a mace has no chain, just a longer handle.

Incredible! You've got both talent and determination! Did you do one a day? Each of them are equally creative, and I just can't believe that you managed to do them all! Awesome job, man!

Hi incredible work if Bionicle ever ended 100 percent with no chance of ever returning this should be the last image Lego will show about Bionicle. And by the way where is Phantom the Dark Hunter?

Wow ... so many I don't recognize. But that's because of my lack of knowledge - each character of whom I am aware is clearly defined; each is obviously him, her or its own self. The enormity of the project itself is praiseworthy, but the quality is truly commendable. Nice work.
