Introduction

There once was a mysterious, powerful kingdom. It was a peaceful, thriving land covered with green meadows, majestic mountains, desolate deserts, and thick jungles. But most of all, there was tranquility, and happiness. Until one day, a being of absolute evil set out to conquer the kingdom and overrun it with shadows. With legions and massive armies of monsters at his command, it seemed as if he would succeed……but just as all hope had seemed to vanish, a hero of light appeared out of nowhere to challenge the being of absolute darkness. Welding a staff of light and a mask made to banish darkness, he sealed the evil one away and brought peace back to the land! The Matoran named this being Toa of Light. His tale was passed down through generations until it became a legend! Then one day, a cold wind began to blow across the kingdom. Yes, the evil being of pure evil, which had thought to be sealed away, crept from the corners of the world once more, eager to resume it’s conquest. The Matoran appealed to the Toa of Light for salvation. However the Toa never appeared. As time passed, and hope began to hang by a bare thread, and doom began to rise, they left their future in the hands of chance and fate. What became of this kingdom? No one remains that knows. And so the memory of the kingdom vanished, but it’s legend survives on the wind. On certain islands, it became a custom to transform beings into Heroes. Clad in armor made from the best forges, and weapons of pure might, they set out to dispel evil from the world. Their Turaga only hoped they would come to know bravery, just like the Toa of Light.
