On the boxes for the Avengers sets Iron Man has a printed minifigure head. Why couldn't they do that instead of making that absurd helmet?

Holy cow! How did they not use that is a better question.

Anyway, despite what people are saying about Hulk, I still like him. Sure the legs could use some work as in bulking them up and maybe giving him some fingers for his fists, but he looks good to me at least. I'll probably revamp him.

However, I guess another reason why I like Hulk might have to do with not wanting to make him angry, so I won't get smashed by him.

I'm a little surprised that Lego didn't try to get away with a recolored Glatorian head for Ultrabuild Iron Man .

Overall, I really like these Marvel sets (other than the fact that they're mostly movie-based, which I suppose can't be avoided), though that may only be because I'm a huge Marvel Comics fan. The Quinjet, in particular, looks awesome, if expensive.

Oh, one thing: did anyone else notice that Ultrabuild Cap's head is Ultrabuild Batman's, but with the ears chopped off and an A on the forehead? Clever reuse on TLG's part, I have to say.

I don't think it's the same part. Cap's nose is too big to fit in the little nose-wedge of Batman's cowl, and the mouth looks different.

About the Iron Man minifig:
Upon close inspection on my iTouch, I noticed the IM helmet on the minifig is grainy.

The grainyness won't be there in the final product. That texture in prelim parts usually means it hasn't made it to full production yet, and was just fabricated with a 3D printer. In fact, the grainyness is one of the most promising things about that fig because it means there'll likely be a couple more revisions before its release.

Stick to the brick sets. The action-figure ones (minus Iron Man, though even he has design problems) look aaaaaehhhaghh terrible.

The DC and Marvel minifigures look great. Iron Man looks hilarious to me, though. The helmet looks too big. Don't really like the constraction line of sets.

But about the sets, only Cap and Iron Man are the only good constraction sets. The actual sets themselves look pretty cool (especially Batcave) but they seem overpriced. The copter looks like a $14.99 value, I sure as Karzahni hope that there's more to the bike. Even then, knowing Lego, it'll most likely be worth $9.99. Ahh, I remember the days when that copter would be $14.99!

According to people like you, LEGO has been running out of ideas for years. But they keep wowing us with original themes like Alien Conquest, Ninjago, and Monster Fighters. Taking on a license is far from an admission of "running out of ideas". Rather, there's a huge demand for licensed themes, and by taking advantage of that demand LEGO can earn more money to make new and original lines.

As a side note, there is more to most of those Avengers sets you've mentioned. An entire faction of antagonists in the Avengers movie is being covered up by LEGO and Marvel, and as such many of the Avengers-themed sets are shown without the figs, vehicles, and accessories for this faction.

And even given that, yes, they're overpriced. This is a consequence of being a licensed theme, which means that LEGO has to pay licensing fees on top of the cost of production. But these don't seem much more overpriced than themes like Star Wars and Harry Potter have been for years.

One time I remember telling my father a week after we saw the first Iron Man movie this "Wouldn't be cool if LEGO made LEGO Iron Man and then made a LEGO Iron Man game based off on the movie".
