Oh, maybe I just read that it stood for 'Nakodile Basketball Association' on a certain blog the author of this comic is maintaining.
But you are right, that's such an unreliable source. Writers these days, don't even know their own stories. Thank goodness we have Wikipedia.

I have a feeling Madison is going to wind up as a character, maybe Maddison's imaginary friend, much like Brain was created as a result of people misspelling Brian.

BZPStuck keeps topping itself.  This is my favourite update yet.  And Maddison is absolutely perfect.  She should star in a spin-off series after BZPStuck is over.

Wow, yeah, almost exactly like she's some high-ranked person 'round here. Like, 'red name'-rank. Not quite the smallcaps though, but most definitely the red name.
That's an absolutely ludicrous idea, though. We all know the characters in this comic are completely original and not based on any real-life person whatsoever.

Unless there's some variation of the Virgo sign that I don't know about, you are right that it looks more like the Scorpio sign. The Virgo sign has the loopy-loop thing that is missing from the magnet on the fridge. Your confusion is definitely not without grounds. My (limited) insight tells me Maddison is a fellow Virgo, though, so that's what the magnet is supposed to represent.
