IC (Dr. Creation, Virginia, Bunker below manor)
He was mildly surprised the world had not burned to the ground. The events of which he had read about had shaken his faith in humanity to its core. He had asked himself how a species that was basically good could have committed such actions, how they could have allowed such actions to happen in the first place? He had to face the truth then. Perhaps humanity was not at its core good; perhaps it needed a hand constantly holding it on the path to greatness.
Dr. Creation looked about his bunker, he had designed it so many years ago, and yet, when he had awoken he had found it almost completely intact. It was one of the few things he was proud of these days, his creations were pure and strong even if humanity was not. His bunker’s walls, crafted from riveted steel and reinforced with various chemical compounds would keep him safe from the outside world as he plotted it’s cleansing.
This room, like the others in this bunker, was lined wall-wall with various readouts and control panels, with numerous projects lying about half-completed. It was disorganized, it was inefficient, but for Dr. Creation, it worked. Currently, his eyes were glued to news readout in front of him. He had made sure to monitor the world news, in search of corrupt figures in need of death. So far, his list of targets was quite long, long enough to keep him busy for years.
Soon the time to cower and hide would end, very soon. The world was a corrupt cesspool and it was high time the power of technology and the promise of science cleansed it.
"People associated darkness with evil and light with good. Explain to me, then, why history's worst monsters all sided with the light, fighting for the radiant Sun, while the shadows were burned."
Unknown, possibly a proverb.
