From the man who went from Store Manager to Community Coordinator, Kevin Hinkle shares word of a new exclusive set coming out. At certain LEGO Brand Retail Store openings this year, you'll be able to get a set of a LEGO Brand Retail Store. That's pretty meta. Read on to see pictures and the full press release to learn how you can acquire this interesting set.

The title of this article was confusing. So I read the article.

This set looks pretty nice.

It's about time they got a LEGO store around here. B) I'll definitely be going, and I'm definitely getting my hands on one of those sets.

Mini Lego store set looks awesome. I know this is nitpicking, but it does bug me that the actual doors, while nice in detail, don't actually open? How are mini Lego people supposed to get into the store! :o (And yes, I know it's too small for minifigs, but maybe micro-figs from the game sets...)

Also, this is the first I've heard of the Seattle store. (Which is actually located in a suburb that's even further from DT Seattle than the current Bellevue store... oh well.) Good to see more Lego stores popping up tho.

YO DAWG I HEARD YOU LIKE LEGO STORES SO WE PUT A LEGO STORE IN YO LEGO STORE SO YOU CAN BUY WHILE YOU BUY

This is actually pretty great. Shame it's not for proper release, it's a weird meta gimmick.

A Lego store that you can buy in a Lego store and play with it.

So Lego made a Lego set of a Lego store that you can only buy in a Lego store, and your minifigs can go into the Lego store Lego set to buy a Lego store Lego set.

Oh man, they're opening one in my hometown and one in the city where I'll be interning over the summer. I better be able to hit up at least one of those.

A Lego store set that can only be acquired in a Lego store that is opening sometime later this year. Interesting.

Sadly, none of these new stores will be opening in an area where I live. So I'll probably won't be getting the set. Oh well.

Doog! When are they going to open some in the UK?!

There are seven stores in UK, their locations being Bluewater, Brighton, Cardiff, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Westfield London and Westfield Stratford.

This set is purely delicious, albeit a little small. It´s just a pity there is already a store where I live so I won´t get the chance to acquire this set. :P

That's a pretty cool set, although I most likely won't be able to get it, as there's a closer Lego store about half the distance away. Really like the idea, though.

I actually thought this was some sort of deliberately belated April Fool's joke.

Guess not. Sounds cool, I guess...?

They need a piece in the set that's shaped like a miniature version of the set.

Double setception! :P

Yay, a LEGO store in the next city northwest from where I live! Ever since that American Girl store that my sister loves opened at OPMall, I've known that there was going to eventually be a Lego store too. I am beyond excited for it!

A Lego store within a Lego store. Despite being, as the news story put it, meta, I couldn't help but think of Inception. And hey, a Seattle location is good news for me!

Great looking set. I'm currently working on a minifig-scale modular version of this set on LDD (it's easy to make minifig scale just by doubling its size). But I wouldn't be surprised if some other LEGO fan beats me to it!

And it'll be hard to get to most of these store openings, but that's what I get for already living in an area with a number of nearby LEGO stores. Doesn't mean we won't try, though!

That looks awesome! Best part is one of the stores is opening near me, so that means I can go and get one for myself! :D

I love rants like this. :P

Pretty awesome, though. ^^

All the rowboats, in the paintings

They keep trying to row away

And the captains' worried faces

Stay contorted and staring at the waves

They keep hanging in their golden frames

For forever, forever and a day

All the rowboats, in oil paintings

They keep trying to row away, row away

I'm planning to go to Alphereta and pick up up this set, whenever they open. It's a little bit farther than Discovery Mills, but I'm willing to the extra distance for this and whatever else they may have going on for the opening.
