The Piraka had a lot for me, especially my Avak set (weapon, hands...)

and of course, Hahli Mahri, due to me having to buy it the second it came out.

I found, like many others, that the lime green pieces in Hahli and Ehlek break incredibly easily.

Most hip joints end up breaking on me, especially the 2008 ones.

I got a Takanuva Star and and all the joint sockets have cracks in them. Even a part of his head broke off. It is impossible to keep all the limbs connected. It may just be that these pieces are not meant to be constantly taken apart and rebuilt. A build once or twice is probably enough. Too bad, I really liked that set. =/

Well, I would say Rahaga/Voya Nui Matoran feet, as well as the Vhaki thigh pieces. Those and some of the newer leg pieces seemed to break for me.

all my pre-2006 ball socket pieces lasted longer than those from 2006-2010. Then the HF 2.0 sets came out with their near indestructable sockets.

Toa Metru neck pieces. The only bionicle piece I've ever broken was Toa Nuju's neck. Och!

2007 lime green and 2008-2009 navy blue, I have a lot of them shattered.

I reuse the broken pieces, I first silt the piece, then i repaint it.
Of this form I gave new life to various pieces.

The only pieces I've ever had break were the thigh doulbe-joints mentioned in the origingal post, and one of Tahu's Nuva blades, way back in 2002. Actually, my Vezon just lost his leg a couple days ago and I don't know if I have a replacement.

Lego pieces are very sturdy; I’ve had very few of them break. I have, however, had a couple of those 2006 Piraka hip pieces break right at the ball joint. Zaktan and Vezok’s hips both broke.

The matoran from Karda Nui arms, especially Tanma's, break when I take it off the ball joint. Also the leg-arm joint that has the holes in it. Oh and also the hands from  the beginning of Bionicle to the Glatorian hands.

The socket pieces in 2008 seemed to be rather weak on my Kopaka Phantoka set, at least 2 of them. I've only had 1 somewhat broken from the years before. The rest are pegs and arms.

 

Same here. The socket pieces from 2008 were VERY weak.

A lot of my pieces break (and when I say it, I mean almost a third). I don't know why it happens, maybe I'm too rough with them?

i have the same problem. and witch doctor from hero factory those pieces that connected the feet to the legs, on him they broke all the time.

Hmmm... Which pieces exactly are those? From my experience the newer Hero Factory parts are near-impossible to break by mistake, and I don't think Witch Doctor had any of the older joints.
