What's the wierdest PM you've ever recieved? Mine would have to be when a certain member asked me to vote for him in the latest BBC contest.

Before I became a staff member, someone sent me a PM with huge bold red letters saying "COME BACK TO THE LIGHT, THE LIGHT, THE LIGHT!!!!!". That was pretty weird, to say the least.

Not really the weirdest one, but it was the one that freaked me out the most. I got a PM from a staff member. Normally when I get Pm's from staff members I get in trouble with something so I was sure that I was doomed. Turned out I got a proto point. Still freaked me out so much.

I got a PM, from a member, that was basically talking about some website on some God-knows where part of the planet. I didn't even know the person. He posted twice on the forums and disappeared.

It may not be considered "weird" but I was surprised by this certain PM. It was sent by a staff member. I thought I was in deep, deep trouble but it turns out that one of my earlier posts was too "broad" and that I should elaborate on it. I don't know if I should consider that big trouble or not though.

Nah it´s fine. I keep telling people that everyone makes mistakes so that must apply to me as well. I do understand it freaked you out, though. As you said in the PM, it was kind of scary in the "FEAR THE STAFF YOU CAN'T ESCAPE" way. I guess I should have checked the date before PMing you.

Alright, I'll be honest, the incessant talk about PMs you've received from the specifically named members who have sent you PMs that are, apparently to you, weird, irritates me. What if they read this topic? They'd feel like they are just some weird person that nobody likes because they send spam messages to people. It's not my place to judge if they are strange in any way or not, but it's just wrong to name them out.

Don't name names - it's not right, not polite, and certainly offensive to the members who sent the messages. There's a reason it's called a private message, implying it's between you and the member who sent it to you. [/rantover]

Anyhow, I can't recall any PM that's weird that's been sent to me, although any that have referred to my signature confuse me.

Never been sent a weird pm on this forum, but I do rememeber a big incident that involved one member changing their display name to be fairly similar to one of the mods, then sending out an image to many others, the contents of which would likely get me modded if I were to describe it. They also had it in their signature, so I went there out of curiousity.

It was...unpleasant, to say the least.

There was this one time, some weird member, pmed a message saying: "YOU STOLE MY CARROTS", or something along those lines. I blocked him and deleted the pm. It was year ago, though.

I once got some weird spam PM from someone I didn't know when someone's account got hacked. I don't remember exactly what was on it, but it didn't make any sense, and I deleted it.

TBH, some of the messages I've got from Vorex are pretty odd. Me and Gravs deliberately go crazy in our PMs, it's a lot of fun

I don't know whether I should be sad or happy that I never received really weird messages... although I do recall one years ago, which went something like "Hey are you a goth I don't like goths" and some more stuff which I'm not sure about anymore; it wasn't very, uh, friendly. *ahem* Peach has a point. Calling out people isn't a really nice thing to do. And the question what is weird and what isn't varies from person to person. Some members might find a thing hilarious that others consider very strange.

I think I've just been lucky and never had a pm that I would categorize as strange.
But I have once gotten a PM from someone that was trying to tell me something, but they must have been looking down the whole time and never even glanced at what they had just written and then clicked send without even looking STILL...

Actually, I just received my weirdest PM ever (forget my other one). A staff member told me what the Va part of my current title "Scavenger Va" is. I honestly forgot the Bohrok Va for a bit.
