Also, I want to keep one party from having an unfair advantage over the other, and frankly, whoever you team up with is likely to do extraordinarily well.

Now, I can't enforce my moratorium on external help, so I'll leave it to the honor system that there isn't an outside influence on the game. (read: Lloyd or Lhik or anyone else)

Not having any clues is a pretty big advantage to the Mafia, so there's that.

Taka Nuvia was out for a stroll one night, obeying all horror movie cliches appropriate for BZP: Straying near dark alleys, taking shortcuts she didn't know well, locking her keys inside her ussal (don't ask), and hitching a ride home with a complete stranger.

Meanwhile, Burnmad had just finished up his late shift at the game workshop. He left the building, locked the door, and hopped on his ussal for the long ride home. Halfway through the charred forest, however, he was grabbed from his crab and dragged back into the trees, where he was savagely beaten to death with his own mask.

The next day, Taka Nuvia took the same shortcut on her way somewhere, and stumbled across the body of the villager Burnmad: Toa of Emoticons. The Guard has no suspects. The viewing will be held in one week, with the burial the next day.

You may begin accusing each other.

I say Portalfig. He seems shifty, and is thinking with portals. He could easily have done this.
