Videos pop up pretty frequently in the Lego community of Lego vehicles and machines doing things that boggle the mind, and this subset of Lego fandom may be less understood by its fellows than any other. Want to see how it's done? Check out the new 352 page book by the remarkable Lego manipulator Pawel "Sariel" Kmiec. Because what's better than a Lego truck? A Lego truck that you can drive.

This is the kind of stuff I would like to build. Partwise, its not that much (Except that arm), it's the know how that matters. I might look into getting the book, certainly the steering system I'd really like to look into.

Not 100% on-topic, but I'm surprised there's not more Technic discussion on BZPower, considering Bionicle was originally a subtheme of Technic. I suppose Bionicle discussion generally focuses on the story of the theme, though, and Bionicle MOCs typically focus on sculpting over functionality, which makes the Bionicle fandom quite different from the mechanically-focused Lego Technic community.

And as a sort of footnote to that, I wish Hero Factory would feature more vehicles, considering the general Technic theme hasn't featured sci-fi or fantasy vehicles in years.
