Oh there is a ton of unscripted stuff in the LotR films. At Helm's Deep when the Uruk-hai are doing their spear-stamping haka thing? One guy started that when he got bored just standing around in the rain. Everyone else started to join in and it wound up in the movie. I think in the third film Theoden batting the Rohirrim's spears with his sword was something Bernard Hill came up with and, again, the crew just thought "well why not?"

Also, in Fellowship, Lurtz the Orc threw a dagger straight at Aragorn. Aragorn deflected it. This was unscripted. Lawrence Makoare's vision was obscured by makeup and threw it at Mortensen's face instead of the nearby tree he was supposed to have thrown it.

He also took a couple of real punches and to the face because of the same vision issue.

Basically, Viggo Mortensen is Aragorn.

Jaffa Cakes have apricot in them rather than orange. It would also take a 90 minute game of football to work off the calories from eating a whole pack of them.

Technically, if you look at quantity of hair follicles per square inch of skin, we're more hairy than a chimpanzee

Also, the mac I'm using right now recognises the British spellings of favourite and colour, so that last one might just be a problem with yours :P

Christmas fact:

On the Christmas where baby Jesus was visited by the 3 wise men, Jesus was actually 2-3 years old by the time those wise men made it.

Jesus wasn't born on Christmas.

I recall the Nostalgia Critic saying, when discovering that MGM distributed The Garbage Pail Kids - "I can't take anything from them!!" and "oh god, it feels disgusting viewing anything by those people". Which kind of results in a paradox! He says on several occasions he loved the Tom & Jerry cartoons - which were distributed by MGM! There's also the question of the James Bond movies and The Wizard of Oz.

It should be noted, however, that grass is generally not killed by grazing animals, because the roots and the base of the stem remain intact, allowing it to grow back. (Plus, seeing as most cows these days, at least in America, are fed corn instead of grass, and taking the fruit of a plant doesn't really count as killing it... In fact, I don't see a good argument for saying that fruit in general destroys life, especially fruit from plants that do not die after reproducing.

During the filming of a movie called "The Crow", during the death scene of Brandon Lee's character, he was supposed to be shot by a gun that fires blanks. Somehow, an actual bullet shot out of the gun and killed Brandon in real life.

If you take a set of 23 randomly-chosen people, there is a 50% chance that two of them will have the same birthday. At 57 people, the probability is 99%. (However, it's not until there are 367 people that it reaches 100%.) This is known as the birthday problem.

The idea for Sonic the Hedgehog games were inspired from the original Mario Bros. game. Sonic's creator said he tried to complete the levels as fast as possible, thus inspiring the Sonic game.

Also, the first Donkey Kong game was supposed to be a Popeye (the sailor man) game, but when the license with Popeye's creators ended, the Nintendo CEO filled in the blanks with his own characters (Mario, Donkey Kong, and Pauline).

Well, of course, that energy would have to be stored, transferred to heat, and applied to the coffee cup.

Also, if you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would get laryngitis and then simply tear your vocal cords, probably well before the coffee was even lukewarm.

Roughly twelve, or actually exactly twelve? Twelve seems a lot easier to be precise about than numbers in the 300 range, and I think we'd know if twelve and a half people had been on the moon.

Roughly twelve, or actually exactly twelve? Twelve seems a lot easier to be precise about than numbers in the 300 range, and I think we'd know if twelve and a half people had been on the moon.

sorry, I use "roughly" when I mean "I'm pretty sure". yes, 12 people have walked on the moon. sorry for the confusion :/

The Flintstones: Although Rosie O'Donnell just doesn't resemble Betty Rubble, she still got the role on the account of her replicating her original giggle.

A Russian cosmonaut who's name I can't remember, traveled forward 1/46th of a second, forward in time, while in orbit. Thanks, relativity.

assuming that Toa are 7 feet tall and that the MU is 4000000 feet tall, it would take 28000000 Toa standing on top of each other to equate to the size of the MU.
