Without those, I finally gave up on it and decided to just rebuild him from scratch earlier this year.
A little creativity later, and here we are;

My only qualm is how small his shoulders seem, and his overall skinniness.

Wow, this is pretty cool. The legs, arms, and torso pieces are all creatively used. I also approve of the cape. Overall, considering that you had to start from scratch and used your pieces creatively, I think this MOC is fantastic.

Thank you very much, I definitely appreciate the response.
The shoulders were probably the one part of the design that slowed me down the longest. I don't have as many free pieces available anymore compared to a few years ago, and after a while I settled on the Av-Matoran arm(or was it leg?) joints as the main piece and then had to work out how to make that look less bland.
He's definitely skinnier than the official set though, and there isn't really much I can do short of buying a lot more sets to suppliment my supplies right now in order to bulk him out - I can see a good few points where more armor would make sense, or at least varied armor, such as the hips, but still.
Again, thanks!

I like it. I've been looking for a version of Makuta Teridax that I can build, and this might be it. Do you think you can post picture instructions showing how you built him?

Wow, that's awesome! Yeah, I can get some instructions up within the new few days.
EDIT:
Okay, that took a lot longer than I had anticipated, so sorry for that. If you have any questions let me know.

I have a couple of different home-made capes for Teridax, and since I can't find the first one from the original set of pictures, here is the second of them.
