Like many of BZPower's readers and members, seven year-old Luka Apps is a huge Ninjago fan. Against his dad's advice, he brought his favorite minifigures to the store with him, where one was inevitably lost. In a last-ditch effort, he wrote to LEGO describing his plight, upon which the helpful (and creative) rep secured permission from Sensei Wu to send Luka a (unique) replacement figure. There's one fan LEGO will be holding on to for a while. Click here for the whole heartwarming story.

Reading this story made me smile. Just goes to show how much Lego cares for its fans (and how creative their staff can be).

I've heard of them doing stuff like this before. I must say, I prefer them over hasbro for stuff like this.

I think the editor at the end of the article summed it up quite nicely.

Aww... how cute. I like how Lego cares so much about it's fans. It's just... really awesome and kind. Also, the letter written by Richard is pretty neat.

I'm still a ninja although I think I'm losing my skills as one.

I've seen this before. Darn, should've reported it as news. :P I really love this story- it just shows how awesome Lego is and how they're not like a crazy company who doesn't care about their customers or anything.

That story was just...* sniffles* beautiful.  It shows how the Lego company cares for their fans.  It really put a smile on my face.

I don't know what that link is going to, but my college's network filter is vehemently opposing it. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the summary in this news article. :v

I'm surprised they did this- after all, they can hardly afford to send everyone who loses a part a new Lego set.  But I am glad they did it this time.  I'm not sure what makes the minifig so special?  Is there a picture of it?

I assume it's one of those minifigures which have three different faces on one head.

This story is awesome, I also have this set, and had I lost my Jay ZX figure I probably would've just had to cut my loses and maybe buy a cheaper set that came with the firgure. However, Lego needs to keep their focus on the younger children, and this shows how they are. Keep it up Lego!

This is just beatiful. If one needed more proofs to officially nominate LEGO as one of the best companies ever, well, there he goes. LEGO, we love you as much as you love us!

I interpreted "combines three into one" to mean that it took the head from one version of the minifig, the body from another and perhaps the gear/accessories of a third.

Um... no minifig has THREE faces on one head. I think it just referred to the extra weapons packed with him. Perhaps Jay ZX's weapon along with the Nunchuks of Lightning from Jay DX and the spear from NRG Jay? It would have helped if the person posting this had shared a picture.

I'm confused about that Jay minifigure. Still, this story is heart-warming and simply great. Shows me it wasn't a mistake to remain a fan of LEGO over these years. :)
