One thing early in the review that wasn't mentioned is a feature of this wave's packaging that disappointed me somewhat. Instead of shiny character art on the back of the boxes, these sets feature screenshots of the sets' subjects as they appear in the show. I get that the character art on the back of previous boxes was primarily a way to reuse promotional images created for the trading cards and marketing materials, which means that there's less incentive to create it for this small 2013 wave which lacks any cards or spinners. But at the same time, the episode screenshots are too small to be all that impressive, and end up feeling like a lackluster placeholder image.
I look forward to getting this set, but since I can no longer count on LEGO store discounts during Brickfair, I'm going to have to put some serious thought into when and how I get it...

I should point out that the style of launcher the Warrior bike has isn't new. Its been used before in the vikings sets. Specifically the viking catapult vs the Nidhogg Dragon
http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7017-1 and the Viking Ship challenges the Midgard Serpent http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7018-1
The design isn't the same but the launching mechanism works the same way.

TWO such launchers, attached to a crankshaft so they alternate until they've fired both magazines.

In fact, it's older than the Vikings sets, having first appeared in the Dino Attack set Fire Hammer vs. Mutant Lizards.
Not really "older," considering the Vikings sets and Dino Attack sets came out at the same time.

Brickset lists the first wave of Vikings as 2005. I suppose that would mean Dino Attack came first, though (since it was out early in the year).

Dino Attack was summer '05, and I think the first wave of Vikings was the following winter. I could be wrong, but I distinctly remember noting that they had improved on the design of the Fire Hammer launcher. It could be that Vikings had different release dates internationally, like BIONICLE did (though I, too, remember it coming out in the U.S. in early 2006).

That blade is pretty awesome altough I must admid lego did not well creating the Samurai disign, it should've been left out to focus on a better vehicle build, the snake machines snakiness were nice but this design is a bit sad.
Thanks for the review Gata.
