No, 102
Now, when Sailor's Hornpipe plays...
Dies Irae, shall arrive.
Followed by this marvelous antique portrait of Charles II...
Should one take Da Vinci's words into order...
Would the Caribbean sink?
Is it fair that such command over octaves and colour should burn...?
Quite possibly...

Bah, might as well.

Jethro Tull, King Crimson, J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Turisas, David Bowie, The Grateful Dead, Voltaire, Ravi Shankar, Jimi Hendrix

The order on that's nothing definite, just the order in which they came to mind.

Cryoshell, as usual.

Motion City Soundtrack is working it's way into becoming liked by me, if only through two tracks so far. P!nk and Florence and the Machine are becoming some of my favourites. Currently, I really like fan musicians like PhemieC and Broadway Aradia, while Broadway Karkat's voice is becoming a permanent fixture in my life. I like Chameleon Circuit too. Oh, and Homestuck music, especially from Radiation and Micheal Bowman.

HA.

Taipu still won't love me.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Daft Punk

U2

John Frusciante

John Mayer

Gotye

Pink Floyd

Led Zeppelin

Disturbed

Queen

Mine changes a lot, though. Like, I didn't even listen to Daft Punk, Disturbed or Gotye until a few months ago, and they're already in my top ten.

I guess I'll shoot. I don't know how the world defines 'artist' in the musical sense, but I'm assuming it's the name that comes attached to a CD of music. My top ten are (in no particular order):

  • John Williams
  • Ennio Morricone
  • Kate Wolf
  • Emmylou Harris
  • Nanci Griffith
  • James Taylor
  • John Denver
  • Alison Krauss
  • Johnny Cash
  • The Beatles
  • Brian Crain

Okay so they're sort of grouped by genre. And there's eleven there. But SO WHAT. I couldn't decide. :( . Also a shout out to the instrumental music (movie scores) composed by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. I can't add them to the list since I don't listen to Cave's lyrical music much at all (and I believe Ellis is in his band), but the scores they have composed together are fantastic.

1. Sabaton, because you can't beat metal based on historical wars and battles
2. Kamelot
3. Leaves' Eyes, because Vikings

4. Van Canto, because seriously, metal where it's all done by voice and a drumset

5. Falconer

6. Avantasia, because the Metal Opera is just awesome

7. Hammerfall, because steel and Templars

8. Korpiklaani just because they're Finnish and folk/viking metal

9. The Birthday Massacre

10. Five Finger Death Punch
