  1. By popular demand ^^ Name: Zataka Species: Brutaka’s species Faction: Metru-Nui Appearance: Very tall and athletic build, that comes with being part of her species. While appearing almost black in color at first, her skin is in fact iridescent - as is her armor, which is cut in sharp, flowing lines that match her physique. The protection of the armor is combined with functional clothing appropriate for someone living in Metru Nui. (rain coat, storage pouches, carrier straps etc.) Background/Occupation: Hailing from the southern isles, Zataka was a warlord in her own right before the league and hunters began their current campaigns. And to her that means one thing: competition. And since all eyes are on Metru Nui right now, she has traveled to the island city, begrudgingly allying herself with its defenders - to become the warlord that triumphed over the other warlords, so that she may see her position solidified in a grateful universe. Flaws: Power hungry, and overconfident in her own abilities, leading to being a bit of a lone wolf that has a hard time accepting help, even when it might be wiser to do so. Powers: Enormous physical strength. Capable of raw energy blasts, stasis field dissipation. Shadow - insofar as cloaking herself or an area in absolute darkness; but can’t physically harm with this ability. This skill is not natural, but was acquired by a chance encounter with a strange substance (antidermis) during a previous adventure. It surprisingly interacted with her physiology, unlocking the ability in the process. She wears a Kanohi Suletu, used for communication, mentally transmitting her thoughts to others or disrupting their concentration. Her personal armaments include a Falchion matching her style and size; and a standard Kordak blaster for long range engagements.

  2. This question literally just popped into my head and I had no idea who to ask, so I just thought I'd post a topic. I hope the question isn't insensitive; it's just something I'm genuinely curious about. It makes perfect sense from a management and marketing perspective to commission the official Bionicle writer if you want to run the biggest and most successful Bionicle fan site. Considering the numerous partnerships BZP has had with TLC and e.g. our strict no-leaked-images policy, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Greg turned out to have been hired all along, with TLC's blessing of course. I don't seem to remember Greg being part of any other Bionicle-related board excluding LEGO's official message board, which would also make sense. And honestly, would anyone really spend years upon years replying to every single fan question out of good will alone? I find that really doubtful now that I'm no longer a teenager. Thanks and, again, sorry if this question is crossing any lines.

  3. IC: Vyarik - Po-Metru "Have you not seen Turaga Dume's announcements these past days? We Dark Hunters are allies of Metru Nui, contracted to help Turaga Dume protect this city from threats his Vahki are unable to contain... such as these rogue Toa." He looked more closely at the Toa who had spoken, recognising the gold highlights that indicated the blue-armoured being may be a Ce-elemental. "I won't pretend we're doing this for noble or altruistic reasons, but an entire universe under League control isn't exactly beneficial for our business. If you can see into my mind, Toa, then you will see I speak true." Were Vashni to attempt to see into Vyarik's mind in that moment, she would find its forefront filled with memories of Vyarik's pursuit of Stannis and Knichou - of streets strewn with obliterated Vahki, of an airship platform laid to waste, of the Dark Hunter 'Victim' being ground into paste by the very airship now hovering overhead. It would undoubtedly be clear he was holding something back, something shrouded in a deep-seated disdain for self-proclaimed heroes who only cared about Matoran, and did nothing to stop the injustices suffered by the other innumerable species of the world... but that hatred was dampened by his duty and determination to complete the task he had come so close to accomplishing already. "No, Toa, I'm being forthright, and doing my job. Which is more than can be said for you," he folded his arms, making no effort to reach for his weapons or make any other act of imminent hostility. "Do these other beings even know of your true intentions? Have you told them why you're on the run from the Vahki, why you've wrought so much destruction and chaos to aid the man who robbed Nuparu mere moments after his murder?"

  4. I'm not judging anyone at all; I'm just curious. Why are you still logging onto BZPower after all this time? What do you do around here? I'd love to hear your answers and see what cool things I can still do and talk about on this site. The reason I still log on from time to time is mostly due to nostalgia. It's nice to look around a little bit, see my old posts, and wonder how everyone's doing nowadays. I also hope we get another surge of activity that breathes some more life into the forums, but a man can dream.

  5. Life's been a whirlwind of some kind of magnitude, but I've been up in Canada successfully working toward my PhD. Poutine is amazing. Even more amazing than mashed potatoes in french fry form is that after having started a relationship and working toward a life together, Aanchir (Skye) proposed on Valentine's Day! It's been an incredible feeling - warm, peaceful, and also how I end up just beaming like a dork when I get to say "my fiancée" in conversation at school and everywhere, really. We don't have a specific time fixed for the wedding yet, since Skye's going to get everything in place to move up here permanently in place first, but consider: LEGOLAND wedding.

  7. IC: Idlyx Haeve - Ga-Metru Too close. The Kekamaire moved back, but his lack of agility and Kovac being so near meant that the blunt-edged sword connected with his chin, and electrocuted the Hunter who stumbled backwards, falling to the ground. He convulsed once, then chuckled, staring up at the permanent midnight. "Wonderful,"--a cough--"wonderful..." Idlyx sat up, rubbing his jaw, apparently making sure it was still in place. "You're good, Toa. But this has eaten up so much of my precious time, and time...is not something we all have. That Ga-Matoran you helped escape? Her time should have been up long ago, you know. But not everyone is as good at this job as I am." He slowly got to his feet, groaning as if he was having difficulty, and continued with, "All it would have taken was a weaken Kanoka to her small frame and...well, I don't need to bore you with details, do I?" The Kekamaire was now at full height again, looking down on Kovac with a blank expression. He knew this kind of talk would just anger the Toa. "I would've liked killing her." IC: The Swordsman - Ta-Metru I responded to Zecrillia with a grunt and then attempted to follow the Vortixx. She boarded one of the carts before I could catch up, the horde slowing me down and grabbing at my cloak. Mata Nui-forsaken-- Frustrated, I cried out and swung my blade in a half-circle, watching as twisted bodies were cut in twain by protosteel. I looked up at my Vortixx companion as the conveyor moved forward, my dark expression hopefully indicating my thoughts: Wait for me, unless you want to burn in there.

  10. IC: Vashni - Po-Metru - Vashni remained silent as glanced into the Dark Hunter's mind. True enough she saw the memories he had elected to put in the forefront of his mind, what she saw didn't surprise her too much, though the airship crushing the one Dark Hunter was slightly jarring. But of course, what really caught her attention was sense of hatred she could feel coming from him, he was suppressing it, that much was clear, but it was there. She thought about trying to force those feelings out, but she decided not to try and interfere with his mind, at least for now. Unless it looked like Stannis was in trouble she wouldn't interfere. .:I really want to have a nice chat with Turaga Dume when this is all over:. This was heard in the minds of all her allies, the questions she had for the leader of Metru Nui were piling up. @EmperorWhenua@Tarn@Silvan Haven@Nato the Traveler@Dane@pokemonlover360@BULiK@~Xemnas~@Darth Jaller@Onaku IC: Skyra Daring - Temple Assault - "Ah, so that's it." Oreius was quickly becoming one of Skyra's favorite people. Definitely in the top ten area, or maybe even top five! Just knowing that there was an actual way to kill this guy gave her the drive to see it done, the fear she was feeling before quickly starting to fade. "Well in that case..." Skyra put her Midak Skyblaster away, it was useless here. Instead she unsheathed the two katanas she had strapped to her person, brandishing them before charging in towards Kal. He seemed to be distracted, so she took the opportunity to swing a blade at one of his legs as she got within striking distance. If they wanted to get a strike at his chest they needed to limit his movement first. @Onaku @Smudge8 @Tarn @Toru Nui@Eyru

  11. IC: Jabali - Po-Metru Showdown "Wait, wait! No fighting on the sculpture fields! No fighting on my sculpture fields!" Even as she followed Tallea's silent command, Jabali made a desperate plea for order to be restored. This was absolutely crazy; she didn't know what the Toa had supposedly done, or why Dark Hunters were trying to enforce laws that she hadn't even heard of... and to be frank? She didn't actually care. The odd assortment of beings scared the stuffing out of her, and she would just as soon not have anything to do with them at all. But still; she had her duty, and that duty was to make sure disruptions to work were minimal. While there were no obvious workers in the vicinity, Jabali knew the carvers she oversaw well enough; either they would be so engrossed in their work to not notice anything at all, or else they would come wondering over as soon as a disturbance started, out of a misplaced sense of curiosity. The latter could only end in disaster. Even without that, there was every chance that the fight would ruin several masterpieces in progress; and not only would that cause a massive pile-up of owed orders, but would mean she would have to deal with several irate carvers whose work would have been wasted. Speaking of waste... "The wastes are right over there; take your fight there if you must! Even you, Toa St- Uh, Mr.- Sorry- I, uh--" She faltered to an self-conscious stop, aware that, in her instinctive bossiness, she had just hurled orders at possibly the most venerated Toa in all of Po-Metru. Crimson with embarrassment behind her mask, Jabali quickly shut her mouth and decided not to open it again any time soon. IC: Zecrillia - Ta-Metru Great Furnace "I left all my good weapons at home, so I'm gonna say... alternate route." If the site had been guarded by matoran, her sleep darts would have taken care of them no problem. Against Vahki, such a weapon was less than useless. And what else was there to do, after all? They could hardly stay here... well. The Swordsman, if he wanted, could probably happily stay right there and slay zombies all day; but Zecrillia herself had no weapons that would be much use for the task and didn't fancy waiting to be overrun. Fleeing was hardly even an option; and, quite honestly, the Disk could only help them in this battle, she was sure. So she followed the Swordsman's gaze. Blue eyes lit up at the sight of the automated carts trundling their steady way into the furnace, not even slightly disrupted by the chaos at street level. Getting onto them without notice by the ever-watchful Vahki might prove tricky; but Zecrillia figured it wasn't a serious risk. Just make sure to stay out of their line of sight, right? "I like it. Meet you over by them?" Without waiting for an answer, she nodded over-theatrically to the Vahki. "You seem to have this under control, my good sirs. So I will go that way and leave you to this." She made good on her words, heading across in the direction the carts were coming from, hoping to find a conveniently out-of-sight place to hop onto one of them. IC: Varxii - Silver Sea, The Ripple "Right, yeah. ...yeah." She wasn't in shock so much as just... drained. While a Toa, over time, got used to harnessing their element naturally, that didn't mean she or he could call on infinite amounts of power with no ill side-effects. The way Varxii had just created an entire storm's worth of lightning out of thin air was no mean feat, especially for a Toa who had rarely ever had to fully push herself to her limits before now. She felt utterly exhausted; like, if someone put a bed in front of her for her to crash into, she could sleep for perhaps literal days if no-one disturbed her. Only once, in her first and increasingly desperate battle standing alone against the League forces - the one where she'd ultimately been beaten down and forced into submission to the Barraki - had she called upon so much power in one go; and it left her utterly bone-tired. She wearily pulled herself upright, fried Visorak remains crunching under her feet with every step she took. "I'm just... just tired." She rubbed at her eyes again; found, again, that her mask got in the way. "That much power... takes a lot out of you."

  12. THE ROLES OF BOTA MAGNA KRUTIERA MAGNA The Mayor of Krutiera Magna - The Mayor of Krutiera Magna acts as as a 'leader' of Krutiera Magna, chosen by a combination of the populace's votes and then the Lord of Earth picking from a pool of candidates put forward. The Mayor is expected to act on the behalf of Krutiera Magna's populace, while also keeping the Lord of Earth's rule intact. While they may seem redundant with the Lord of Earth present, the Lord of Earth cannot rule an entire city by themselves. For that reason, the Mayor is expected to report to the Lord of Earth on how things are going in Krutiera Magna. Captain of the Guard - The Captain of the Guard is in charge of Krutiera Magna's guard force, which also doubles as its military. The Captain is expected to organise the defence of Krutiera Magna against threats, outside and inside, though they cannot command the Palace Guard - only the Lord of Earth may do such a thing. They also report to the Mayor, rather than the Lord of Earth. Palace Guard - The Palace Guards serve the Lord of Earth above all else, even Krutiera Magna which the Lord of Earth rules. As such, they guard the Palace of Earth, and often accompany the Lord of Earth wherever they go, and in some aspects serve as their bodyguards, though the Lord of Earth is capable of defending themselves. In addition, they can command Krutiera Magna's guard force, a fact that can sometimes cause friction if the Palace Guard are seen to be abusing their privileges of command. Advisor to the Lord of Earth - The Lord of Earth is wise, but not infallible. As such, they need someone to advise them on certain matters, and the Advisor is also expected to accompany the Lord of Earth wherever they go. They are also the individual the Lord of Earth trusts the most - if the Lord of Earth were to be absent, and the Advisor remaining behind, the Advisor would be allowed to represent the Lord of Earth, basically taking the run of things until the Lord of Earth returns. Diplomat - The Diplomat is expected to represent Krutiera Magna when dealing with those from the other settlements such as Bota Minor and Antrauta, and in part due to that is not allowed to carry too much advanced technology on them so as to not jeopardise relations with Bota Minor. BOTA MINOR Chieftain - The Chieftain is the overall leader of Bota Minor, descending from Bota Minor's current ruling family. They are expected to act in the interests of Bota Minor, and respect its traditions while taking a zero tolerance policy towards any and all technology. Heir to the Chieftain - The Heir of the Chieftain is next in line to become Bota Minor's Chieftain, as a descendant of the Chieftain. They are to be prepared for their time leading Bota Minor, and one of these ways is by acting in place of the Chieftain whenever the Cheiftain is away, as well as advising them (which will also help them when they come to power). If they were irresponsible, they might be able to get away with a lot due to their position. Emissary - The Emissary handles diplomatic relations with the other settlements of Bota Magna, and is expected to report upon developments within those other settlements, in part so that the spread of technology does not lead to another shattering. Were they to be particularly underhanded, they might even think about sabotaging the technology they find in the possessions of others... Farmer - The Farmer farms, tending to the large farms on the swampy forest floor beneath Bota Minor. They are expected to care for and grow high-quality produce, assisted by the Scarabigs (domesticated large scarabax beetles), and are also expected to fend off anything that might threaten the farms - insects of varying size, saboteurs, disease; and are often heavily involved in the production of medical salves, poisons, and antidotes of Bota Magna. General of the Vineguard - The General of the Vineguard leads the Vineguard - a force dedicated to the safety of Bota Minor, as well as the destruction of any technology found within Bota Minor, and the well-being of the trees that Bota Minor is based upon. ANTRAUTA The Chancellor - Elected by a vaguely defined council of individuals considered to be of significance in Antrauta (who themselves are elected), the Chancellor is the closest thing Antrauta has to a proper leader. Their leadership is not concrete, and thus their authority can be challenged, though for the sake of ease many go along with it as long as the Chancellor has been earnestly representing and benefiting Antrauta, not to mention the ire of any allies the Chancellor may have. The Speaker - Like the Chancellor, the Speaker of Antrauta is elected from the council of Antrauta, however, instead of 'leading' Antrauta, the Speaker of Antrauta is expected to represent Antrauta in diplomacy. As such, rather than a subordinate of the Chancellor, they are an equal who may do what they want, with the expectation that it benefits Antrauta in some way. Commander of the Order of Outcasts - The Order of Outcasts is a militia dedicated to defending Antrauta, led by its Commander, who also does not answer to anyone's authority but their own when it comes to defending Antrauta - a fact that fortunately has not often been exploited; as unlike the Chancellor or Speaker, they are not elected from the council - the Commander is selected from within the Order of Outcasts. at least whenever a new one is needed. WILDERNESS Vorox Warlord - In the wilderness of Bota Magna, there are many Vorox - some solitary, some who live together, some feral, some spurned and exiled. While they could choose to go to Antrauta, many of them prefer to live in the wilderness of Bota Magna - their appearance does them no favours after all. Some, however, have dreams of leading their own pack, and taking what they can.. Hermit of the Northern Wastes - In the icy Northern Wastes of Bota Magna lives a small and disconnected community of Ice Agori, largely ignorant of Bota Magna at large, living in peace and often not communicating with others except for trade. This is one such Ice Agori. --- There we go, the roles of Bota Magna. These roles aren't 100% finalised, though I doubt they will change much.

  13. IC: Kovac Krossfari - Ga-Metru (Deer vs Bat) He ducked under the gauntlet, his reflexes preventing him from being killed instantly by Idlyx. He roared, sending his Toa Tool arcing upwards towards the Dark Hunter's chin, electricity surging through the dull blade of the weapon. OOC: @Tarn IC: Leonn - Po-Metru (Watching The Debates) Leonn's previous assumptions about Vyarik's ingrained vendetta were certainly proving themselves here. But, despite his vindication, the spy found himself incredibly bored at the back and forth between Toa and Hunter. It was quite obvious it wasn't going anywhere, and he was beginning to wish Vyarik and his slippery friend would engage the Toa, so that he may reassess his situation and get out of dodge, so to speak. The Hunter had lead the three of them into a battle they had no way of winning, it seemed. IC: Thom - Silver Sea Island (On The Run) The Skakdi's feet were beginning to hurt. Running through the jungle like a lunatic was killer on his legs, but before long he found himself outside the treeline, panting. A part of him lamented the fact he'd left the Metru-Nui forces behind, but a bigger part of him knew those people had chosen their fate. He, on the other hand, hadn't. Not that one. Thom swivelled around to face the drone that was still hovering by him, no doubt broadcasting his flight from the combat to whatever poor bureaucrat had to watch. He reached out, grabbing the floating robot and placing his face as close to the camera as he could. "Right. Ah dunno who's listenin', but it don't matter. Ah'm done servin' my sentence, and ah'm done playin' yer games. Ah got things ta do, ya see. Places ta visit, a girl ta find. Ah'll sure miss puttin' on a show for ya, though. Maybe ya can catch me after I've done me deed. Or what's left of me. It can go any way, that's the good thing about freedom. But, for now, I'll see ya on the flip side, spooks." He then pushed the droid away, before emptying every cylinder in his revolver into it, deactivating it permanently.

  14. IC: Nale Vella and Jutori - Po-Metru Nale sat in the cargo bay with her rifle by her side, but made no move to aim it at any of the Hunters. She knew if Vyarik spotted her, especially with a weapon trained on any of them, he'd use it against Stannis and company. So instead, she just listened and continued to wait for things to go sideways, and rolled her eyes at the "rogue Toa" comment. The size-changer was back to raving against them. .:Seriously who is this guy?:. She made an "eep!" noise and jumped at hearing a voice in her head, but settled when she remembered Vashni was a Toa of Psionics. A pain in the rear, Nale replied. Jutori, meanwhile, wasn't sure how he felt about the whole speak-in-eachother's-minds thing. He'd have to be selective with his thoughts now. Considering his lack of any tools or weapons, he surmised this counted him as a "non-combatant" and followed Atamai's command. If things got bloody...he wanted to be a Toa, but he certainly wasn't one. Before now the closest he'd gotten to combat was hiding from a shape-shifting monster in the Archives. He hunkered down and said a small prayer.

  15. IC Stannis | Po In the twilight setting that felt eerily like the atmosphere was missing, Stannis the Wanderer stood on the edges of the light from his tiny sun's glow. His grey cloak was dull and dark in the murky illumination, and his tall frame drew a long shadow across the Po-Metru desert, still as the stone itself. From Vyarik's standpoint, the noble toa looked like a pillar in greyscale, dull and featureless against the horizon save for his twin silver eyes that drank in everything before them, ghostly and all-knowing. If the crepuscular cold somehow didn't chill the Hunters, Stannis did. "Toa Stannis!" Vyarik bellowed, raising his voice to be heard by all those present. "By order of Turaga Dume, you are hereby placed under arrest for conspiracy against Metru Nui, assisting a wanted felon, destruction of public property, and the termination of numerous Vahki law enforcement officers. Your companions are also wanted on similar charges." "Are you threatening me at last, Dark Hunter?" Stannis said.

  18. From what I recall, back in 2011 we had to fight to get the site mentioning thing lifted. Nothing changes on BZP without a war. If the ban on mentioning other sites had to do with Greg, we wouldn't have had to fight so hard to get it lifted. If Greg was paid to answer questions, TLG likely paid him directly. If TLG found out that he was taking money from BZP for answering questions, he would have lost his job. Also, Greg answered a ton of questions on the Lego Message Boards after Bionicle ended, too. Why would he agree to do that if the only reason he answered questions on BZP was because the staff paid him?

  19. nope! he did it out of his genuine passion for bionicle and the community. The comics he wasn't really paid for either (it was folded into his main job as the lego magazine editor, and my understanding is that was with no extra pay) and the novels were freelance he did in his off time for Scholastic. whether or not you like his writing style, the dude was dedicated.

He probably likes listening to Beatles songs and messing with the balance to try and hear the different stereo effects in the song. Thanks to Reviving Bionicle the first song for Tahu that comes to mind is Linkin Park's "Crawling in my Skin." Onua is probably a Bach and Beethoven guy.

  22. I actually met my girlfriend through online RPing, as strange as that might sound! We... first met that way back in late 2010. There was this one site, the premise of which was animated Disney characters caught up in a crossover war, that had started that summer; I'd been one of the first members, while she joined up towards the end of that year, and... well, nothing came of that at first. I greeted her in the 'hi I'm new' thread, I think; and we were a fairly small rp community (maybe about 20 or so frequent members?) so we ended up rping our characters together quite frequently. Over the years, we became friends through that site, and others that spun off it. And then it was... late 2013 that changed. I'm not sure I remember the exact context in which it happened, but I just came to realise that... I'd fallen for her. I don't know that it was anything BIG ALL AT ONCE; just that, more and more, I was thinking fondly of her, coming to regard her as more and more of a particularly close friend, to the point where I realised that she was especially important to me and I wanted to get to know her more. I sort of initiated talking with her ooc more frequently, and found out that we had more in common than I'd realised. It was early 2014 when I finally screwed up the courage to ask her, when we were IMing over Skype one day, if she'd ever had a boyfriend, or ever considered having one. And she hadn't, so I kinda... all in a rush dropped the way I felt about her and asked if she'd be interested in dating. And she was! Of course, she's in America and I'm in the UK, so it's not so easy at times. But that said! We've been in a steady long-distance relationship for six years now; almost to the day, in fact. We first met up in person, after Skype-calling a lot together, when she invited me along on her family's Walt Disney World trip in 2016; and since then, we've both visited each other and are hoping to do so more frequently when we can. tl;dr: we met via a Disney RP site, and are now in a stable long-distance relationship... though wishing that distance was a lot shorter!

  23. So, my fiancee and I found each other on Facebook. Slightly embarrassing on my part, because I had added a gal I knew from middle school recently after finding her on there, and according to one of our classmates, this gal had a crush on me back then. So, I added her, and proceeded to do absolutely nothing for a while. However, one day, she posted something on her timeline and tagged some of her friends in it, and because I found it funny, I hit the "Like" button. One of those friends she tagged was new to Facebook, and didn't know how anything worked. So, she assumed that because I Like'd something she was tagged in, we must be friends on Facebook somehow. She went to my profile and hit "Add Friend," and after I saw the notification, I clicked accept, because why not? She had basically nothing on her page, except a couple pictures. I thought she was kinda cute, so I sent her a message just casually introducing myself. And, then a few months and many conversations later, we decided to meet up in person, and not long after, started dating. I proposed this past summer after about 3 years of dating, and we're getting married next summer. So, we met on Facebook. And everything's going great. Whodathunk?

  24. So this one kid I'm working with is 9. He has a lot of difficulty saying vocalic /r/ (e.g. car, stir, bear, deer, etc.), but we've made some big strides in the last few months. He's also a major bookworm. Magic Treehouse, Minecraft novelizations... if you think a nine year old would read it, he's read it. Often we'll read passages from his favourite books and practice some good vocalic /r/ sounds. Today, to my surprise, he's waiting for me on the stairs clutching a familiar red book... Yes, friends, it was none other than BIONICLE Adventures #10: Time Trap Kid: Yeah, I really like this book. You're probably going to think some of the characters have really weird names. Me: 4_parallel_universes_ahead_of_you.png So the legend of Bionicle isn't quite dead yet, folks.

  27. I used to frequent this place for the MOCs and art and theories. Even read (and wrote) a couple stories here and there. And though my love for Bionicle hasn't diminished, I have seen a lot of decline in those areas of the site, and most of the MOCs and art I find elsewhere anyway. Guess there's only so many times someone can ask what the difference between Stone and Earth is or come up with masks for obscure characters. What's really kept me around is actually the RP forum. Probably not the biggest or most glamorous part of the site, but we're a tight-knit bunch that's really missed the forums in the downtime for our chance to play together and explore the world we love. I also agree with Valendale in that forums are still just the most cohesive place to talk about anything.

  28. This community for one thing. There are few things more exciting than speculating about a new theory or question and posting it and seeing the discussion that takes place. I also love the epics and novels ppl put together (looking at you @Toa of Italy I'm very eager to see your tale to the end) But mostly it is nostalgia, I love BIONICLE, probably more so than any other story I've ever gotten into (that's saying a lot since I love Star Wars and The Elder Scrolls, etc). And you guys help keep that little spark of BIONICLE alive, and I love returning to it and enjoying it with people who love it as much as I do.

I ruminate on Bionicle about once a year or so, get back into it, discover it from a new angle (usually I remember a character who I hadn't thought of in years. In this case, it was Nokama). Then I leave it again when I remember everyone else has already moved on. Rinse, repeat. Having an account makes getting it out of my system easier, however.

  31. Honestly yeah nostalgia is pretty big factor. I also personally just prefer forums to more modern forms of social media when it comes to having cohesive discussions about specific interests like this. Twitter, YouTube, etc. are great but it's really hard to follow the conversation sometimes. It's also only recently I found out really how far the community extends in these places, partly because such places make it a bit hard to find things like that. As for surges of activity, I feel like we're in the midst of a little bit of one at least right now, with everyone coming back to check out the new forums. It's not much, but it's something. And despite the fact that I love how big the community out there is, sometimes it's nice to know almost everyone. And obviously, I wouldn't check back if I didn't at least have some interest in Bionicle.
