  1. Hi everyone, here's the breakdown for the Po-Metru Great Disc Puzzle Finding The Location: Some NPCs when asked will point players in the direction of the Sculpture Fields or The Wastes as locations they’d seen the Toa Mangai visiting in the past few months. A section of the Sculpture Fields has rings of graffiti with the tagged name “Lhii” in the colors of a rainbow. Going toward the center of the circle brings players to the first puzzle which involves a tall statue of Turaga Dume. First Puzzle: Turaga Dume’s statue is heavily graffitied. Some of the graffiti holds clues for what to do: On the staff is of the symbol on a Po-Metru kanoka. This is the decryption key. An arrow points towards the ruby-red glass prism set in the top of the staff. Turaga Dume’s statue is also pointing in a direction with his other arm. To solve the puzzle, players need to wait for the right time of day when the sunlight shines through the red glass, or they need to provide a form of illumination coming from the opposite direction the statue is pointing. The glass has a cipher written on it, which shows up in the red circular mark it leaves in the sands: “Srzhu fdq rqob uhdfk vr idu / Glj lwv judyh zkhuh lw hqgv.” Po-Metru is the third district, and adjusting the cipher back three letters in the alphabet reveals: “Power can only reach so far / Dig its grave where it ends.” The last part of the first puzzle is players realizing the red dot created by correctly illuminating the glass lies on the top of a large, buried, inverted pyramid. Second Puzzle: The main location for this puzzle involves the inverted pyramid. The pyramid is 100 matoran paces long on each side. The pyramid is missing its capstone, and an entry to the inside of the structure can be found there. The entry is a straight shaft to a central chamber approximately thirty feet cubed. The pyramid is not the most structurally sound sculpture in the fields. To solve this puzzle find the entrance and go inside. Pretty simple. Once inside the central chamber players are presented with the final puzzle. If the structure is cracked or broken, sand will fill it. This preserves the final puzzle for players who don’t give up. Third (Final) Puzzle: The interior chamber is completely covered on all the floor, walls, and ceiling surface area with strange hieroglyphics in a language unknown to any member of the party. These hieroglyphics are the same as others seen in complementary Great Disc Puzzles. Near one of the walls is a rectangular table with the following clues: Four circular depressions on top Four small statues of matoran with the words unity, duty, creation, and strategy. All statues have a circular base of similar size to the depressions on the table. A poem is written in four lines on the side of the table facing the players: "In all of the world Metru-Nui stands / Bringing minds and hearts together as one / A plan devised to defend against foreign lands / A single path never undone.” The correct order of statues from left to right is: creation, unity, strategy, and destiny. Completing the table puzzle opens the stone gateway built into it and reveals the resting place of the Great Disc of Po-Metru (339). ----- From Earlier Today ---- Holy tamales, we're at 35 pages of content! 2. Life's been a whirlwind of some kind of magnitude, but I've been up in Canada successfully working toward my PhD. Poutine is amazing. Even more amazing than mashed potatoes in french fry form is that after having started a relationship and working toward a life together, Aanchir (Skye) proposed on Valentine's Day! It's been an incredible feeling - warm, peaceful, and also how I end up just beaming like a dork when I get to say "my fiancée" in conversation at school and everywhere, really. We don't have a specific time fixed for the wedding yet, since Skye's going to get everything in place to move up here permanently in place first, but consider: LEGOLAND wedding.

  3. IC: Nale Vella - Po-Metru "No, no. Stannis...he's fine. It was a Dark Hunter, the one who'd been chasing us. As for the sky..." Nale remembered something the old Toa himself had said to her some time ago--perhaps he'd been referring to this "Red Star" Kanohi mentioned. "...Mata Nui works in mysterious ways."

  4. Definitely-some of those parts haven't been made in 20 years, so they aren't gonna make an exception for one set. Even aside from the fact that none of the others are feasible, Sokoda's model is the most visually appealing. Another thing to consider is, let's be honest, all the other models are trying for a Bionicle reboot (which is frankly just desperate at this point). Sokoda's model is much more of a tribute piece (a much better tribute than the Stars I might add). From a business standpoint, it makes sense to make this model. With the AFOL/Bionicle fanbase, they could literally charge $200 for this (relatively) small set and we would pay! On the other hand, if they do make it, Lego Ideas would get so clogged up with Bionicle projects and people trolling for a reboot. I'm not holding my breath on any of the other projects, but I'm genuinely curious to see if Lego makes Sokoda's.

  5. IC [Zataka, Le-Metru]: The titan took one step forward, then pushed off. The leap was too fast for the Matoran. Before Orkham could react, she’d caught the fire escape level above him with her right and his cigar with her left, hanging just inches away from his face. “That’s bad for your health.” She crushed the cigar between her index finger and thumb. He started to look nervous, but to his credit, he didn't back away. With her now free hand, Zataka reached into her coat and pulled out a small bag. The noise of widgets clacking together was unmistakable. “Half now. Half when we get there.” Orkham mustered his courage and shook his head. “Oh no, sister. Pay up front or walk. Take it or leave it.” She smiled. It wasn’t friendly. “I’ll take it.” And then, with her mask active: :Out back, you said?: The realization of what was happening sunk in, but there was nothing the Matoran could do. His thoughts went to his personal airship, tethered to the other side of the building, and showing his passenger exactly where to find it. The next instant, Zataka had pulled herself up the fire escape. He rushed to the railing, leaning out and looking up, just in time to see her silhouette against the strange sky disappear over the edge of the roof. “Hey!” he shouted, then turned and ran back inside and through the flat, emerging on the far side. The warrior had already dropped down from the roof again and was in the process of boarding the craft. Despite being made for Matoran, there was enough space for her to fit - as long as she put the pilot’s seat all the way down. It wasn’t designed for it. She made it work. The key was just where she’d seen Orkham leave it on the dash in his thoughts. The ship hummed to life, just as its owner managed to throw himself in the backseat, barely making it past the closing door. His confident look was gone by then. “My seat! Do you even know how to fly one of these!?” The response was Zataka pulling the ship away from the flat and steeply arcing up. The Matoran fell back in the rear. Banking, she briefly spotted the giant form of the Turaga walking down below. With a smirk, she leveled out. Looking around the controls, she spotted a button she previously hadn’t noticed. :What’s this one for?: His eyes widened. “Ah, thanks.” A sudden burst of acceleration rocked the airship and the Coliseum ahead started to become rapidly larger. Very rapidly. Several frantic moments later, they gently touched down at the top of the stairs leading to the Coliseum’s main entrance. Zataka popped the door open and got out, long legs sliding out first. Behind her, Orkham clamored over the ruined seat to check the damage to his ship. He didn’t notice the Vahki outside closing in around the craft. The lead unit stepped up to the titan. “This is a no-parking zone.” She jerked her chin towards Orkham. “Tell that to the owner.” The Matoran’s head spun around. “Wait, what?” But all he could see was Zataka's back as she walked through the main entrance without another look back. OOC: Big, scary lady spotted at Coliseum.

  6. IC: Vyarik/Revenant - Po-Metru Block, parry, dodge. The movements were as much muscle memory as they were collective recollection. Fragments of armour and pieces of flesh splintered away as the Toa's sheer strength, speed, and apparent desperation allowed some of his blows to slip through the Revenant's careless, uncoordinated defences. It recognised, though didn't entirely understand, the emotions plain on the Toa's face. He hated the Revenant. He wanted to destroy it, despite being content to ignore it earlier. He had chosen to make himself a threat, and now he would have to be dealt with accordingly. As the pseudo-storm swept in around the dueling duo, the Revenant made its move. As Arkius' axe swept in for another savage strike, the Revenant moved to block the blow... only to shift its arm at the last moment, allowing the axe to bite into its armoured forearm, carving through the armour and meat to strike bone. The Revenant exerted its new powers, turning its own metallic components into a massively powerful magnet. The intention was to prevent the Toa from pulling his weapon free... and leave him unable to retreat from the Revenant's other sword, which was now spearing towards the Toa's throat with speed-disk-assisted swiftness.

  7. The reason I think Sokoda's got through and has a chance of becoming a real set, is Sokoda's project understood current Lego constraints and part availability. Lego isn't going to bring back the 2001 era parts even if those molds still existed in storage somewhere.

  8. IC: Thom - ??? (???) The Skakdi's tongue ran across his dry lips. His head swam, and he lay in his blanket, shivering. He wasn't sure if he was asleep or awake. At this point, it barely mattered. How long had he been at sea? A few days? Two weeks? A month? Where was he going? Zakaz? Xia? The many islands beyond that he'd visited in his prior travels? Where was he going? ... ... "Arkkan...." His dim amber eyes lit up in the moment, hands feverishly fumbling for his weapon. Pirates? In the dark, he thought he saw something from inside of the small roof. It almost looked like....a fin, cutting neatly through the ocean waves. Teeth chattering, Thom lifted up his blanket, revolver cocked in his trance. Every noise sounded too loud, like it was in his head. Don't lose it. Don't lose it. Don't lose it. He lifted his eyepatch up onto his head, mad eyes desperately trying to get a look at whatever it was he heard, and saw. The waves taunted him, each momentarily resembling a monster emerging from the depths. "Hehehe! Arkkan~" The maddened mercenary slowly rotated around, nauseous eyes twitching. He wanted to be sick. "You're thirsty, aren't you, Thom? The ocean water is lovely! Have a drink, Arkkan~" A voice spoke, in a soothing, yet joyful tone. In the fever ridden dark, he could make out the slender silhouette of a woman on the other edge of the ship, resembling the proportions of a Toa. A pair of eyes twinkled in the dark. "Ah…" He could barely speak, but the warm voice called for him. His legs, on autopilot, carried him forward, towards the figure. A giggle could be heard as Thom approached the angelic woman, numbing the pounding headache and weak bones. The silhouette spread her arms out, for a soft embrace. His deliverance from this horrible journey. His own, shaky arms closed around the figure's midsection. She felt silky, yet oddly damp, with what felt akin to scales… His odd moment of unease was ceased almost immediately by the figure snaking her hands around his face, her own features illuminated in an hazy moonlight. She was...beautiful. Soft, light blue eyes gazed up into the Skakdi's own amber ones as a pillowy pair of lips formed into a smile. "You're sick, Thom. You'll die...you need to have something to drink. Come to the edge with me, Thom. Have a drink~" He didn't even have the capacity to argue with the woman as she led him, hand to hand to the edge of the dinghy. The water looked lovely in the moonlight. She was right, he was so thirsty. Thom knelt down on the wooden floor, hands reaching out for the glimmering water. He needed a drink. He needed a drink. As his hands touched the water, something in the glimmer stopped him. His reflection. He couldn't see the maiden's face in the ocean, only his own. His eyes were wide, and hysterical. He was as thin as ever, and his eyepatch sat slightly above his eye. His lips were chapped and torn. "Go on, you're so close~" Despite the maiden's encouragement, Thom felt a stronger need to stare into his own image. And as he gazed, it flickered. His own Skakdi face changed colour, to a jungle green. A smugger, more proud expression plastered itself across his face. And it changed again, a Pehkui, red and with a pair of vengeful eyes gazing into his own. Then, a melted Pakari, with the dim, fearful gaze of a dying Matoran. And finally, a Kakama, with a ponytail growing outwards. A determined and virtuous look stared back at the assassin. His goal. Reality hit him like a Vahki transport would a stray Mahi, and he pulled his hands back, shaking the water off them. He turned back, to the maiden. She looked disappointed. He cracked an apologetic but positive grin. "Sorry, sweetheart. Nah can do, not till ah got that Toa." Thom explained, his head slightly clearer. "Plus...seawater ain't exactly me beverage of choice." The shine in her eyes changed, then. The light blue became a furious purple, and her mouth opened. Horrible, jagged fangs revealed themselves, as the moonlight seemed to intensify, showing her scaley, finned tail in full detail, in place of her legs. An ancient, primevil roar came somewhere behind her, as Thom saw glimpses of a shadowy, tendriled creature in the ocean behind her, splashing and thrashing. "This ocean will be your grave, murderer!" The siren screamed. Without any hesitation, the Dark Hunter panicked, firing a shot amid the haziness which opened the scaly creature's face wide. Darkness spilled out as the monster screamed, clutching the remainder of her face as pure, purply dark poured from her wound. He felt even more sick, but the siren seemed to melt into nothing, having been rejected by the Skakdi, her power nullified. The tentacled sea beast behind her also screamed out into the night, before disappearing back into the depths with even more thrashing. Thom breathed heavily, slinking back into the small shelter and hiding beneath his blanket. He was okay. He was okay.

  9. IC Kilo-M9 - Po-metru Sculpture Fields: Circuitry is incompatible with telepathic powers. Context missing about Toa Stannis. Will need to ask allies about shared information. Enemy dark hunter is leaving area. Solution: do not pursue. Magnetic abilities and speed are dangerous. Toa Arkius is leaving area. Unable to provide fire support from current location. Boarding airship. The mechanical enforcer had sat out the riddle solving portion of the disk puzzle, for it knew it was not well suited for more abstract thinking. It would update its puzzle solving program later. The machine needed to find some way to pass the time. Provoking the newly risen untethered was deemed an unwise idea after the undead revealed his newly acquired magnetic abilities. Protecting the transport was deemed irrelevant, and the former law enforcement officer would not mourn the loss of usurper tech. While the group solved the puzzle and made their way into the portal to retrieve the disk, the metal guardian was attempting to help repair the last bits of superficial damage to the Taku, launching low powered regeneration disks at the underside of the ship’s hull. When the tour group returned from their portal adventures, they found their robotic ally repeatedly tossing a disk at the low-flying airship. A steady clang of metal on metal filled the air. As the group beginning with Stannis boarded the airship, the protodermis protector watched the ancient toa of stone climb up, its glowing green eyes never leaving the mysterious bag the toa was carrying. “This unit will board last. If accidents happen, this unit will protect allies,” the steel sentinel reassured its allies. Primary query remains unanswered. Will confront Toa Stannis in future. Current objective: observe closely until proper time.

  10. IC, Atamai: Po-Metru The memories Vashni shared were extensive and detailed. “Well, I guess that means you being wanted was a matter of circumstance rather than you actually doing something wrong. Not that I had any doubt,” I said. “Now I think we’d best be off. We need to get to the Colisseum, and fast. We can look at Nuparu’s memory crystal along the way.” IC, Kohara: Ga-Metru Vhisola swam up to Kohara and got her attention. She pointed to the central part of the ruins. Inside was a dark shape. Some sort of Rahi? Kohara looked at the others and motioned for them to go down. The group swam down and hid behind a large, broken pillar. Kohara poked her head up to see if she could get a better look at what was up ahead.

  11. OOC: mobile post IC: Vyarik - Po-Meep Meep! Though Nale dismissed the Revenant's actions as strange, they were in fact calculated and purposeful. With the minds of at least three beings folded into the Untethered consciousness, it had gleaned all manner of interesting knowledge about the world and its workings... including a useful tidbit about how Vahki Transports functioned. Whereas airships used levitation and weight increase kanoka, the transports used speed disks, and it was these the Revenant was now magnetically removing from the two transports. One after another, the disks streaked swiftly through the air, pulled towards the thing that had once been Vyarik. Each one struck true, imbuing their energies into the Revenant. The instant the last one made impact the creatute took off across the desert, becoming little more than a blackened blur and leaving an almost comical plume of displaced sand in its wake as it dashed rapidly towards its destination.

  13. Beautiful MOC. The color and texture work and presentation are top notch. They're a Knockoff part. they were pretty popular about a year or two ago but the sets they came from are discontinued now I think.
