  1. I'm no-one, apparently. Anyway, people who want to avoid Ko-Koro getting completely smashed-up again should probably reply to this post.
  2. IC: The ILF had barely left the village gates before the end of the world rise from the ground in front of them. Kethrye froze, as dead in his tracks as they'd be when the Rahkshi were done with them. His hand flew to his sword as he motioned a retreat through the gap they had had just exited. As soon as they were through the guards slammed the great doors down behind them. He glanced a the surrounding villagers, all costumed by terror, although you'd have trouble discerning that fact. Stoicism had always been one of their virtues and hopelessly was something they had gotten used to. Instead they carried on with their routine, or gathered together in small, whispering groups, watching and waiting to see how things transpired. They were his people, and if Makuta was going to slaughter them then they'd sure as karz not make it easy. The cacophonous screams of the Sons of Makuta covered the village, and Kethrye found his teeth grinding against each other within his mouth, calming his neverse. He closed his eyes, focusing, and a second later a block of ice rose from the ground adjacent to the gate, reinforcing the walls. The change would only slow the Rahkshi a few seconds, if that, but it was a start. The ILF leader turned to the nearest Matoran, a group of obviously inexperienced guards. "Get me the captain, and as many of the Sanctum Guard you can find. Spread the word, we need every able bodied warrior ready to fight. The darkness destroy us, but he can't destroy our unity."
  3. I know I'm a bit late to the part, but: Rakshki Why did it have to be Rahkshi?
  4. IC: It would be nice, just one, for for some to explain exactly what the karz was going on. Still, I had no real choice in the manner, whatever the brute had planned, it would be a surprise. And I hate surprises. OOC: Feongulf and Onuzek to Po, then?
  5. IC: There was a new light in the sky. Not Joutoma's sky, the object's distance and orbit made it impossible to see with the naked eye, but the satellite telescopes circling the Drekian homeworld could see it all too well, it's appearance soon catching the attention of the astronomers monitoring them, and brief deliberation, triggered the dispatch small unmanned probe to conduct a complete analysis. - - - - The room of scientists watched the grainy feed of the probe's landing with baited breath, wondering at what they might find. In all likelihood the exoplanet would be merely the hunk of rock it appeared to be, but they wouldn't stop themselves from hoping, or dreading, that they'd find something more.
  6. IC: Feongulf ~ I threw Onuzek a noncommittal shrug. "Whatever." He has a point, I thought, mulling over his words. But he will fall too, eventually, just like everyone else, and where will that leave me? . . .The same place I'm already in. Not as if things can get much worse. "So, where are we headed? Things might continue if we start them, but they sure as karz won't start themselves."
  7. OOC: Filler post, I'll do a proper write up for our arrival in Ga-Koro.IC:Kethrye nodded, and the ILF began the long trek to Ga-Wahi's borders.OOC: ILF to Ga.
  8. Yeah TNG is pretty good, although both TOS and DS9 are probably better in on a per-episode basis. TNG at it's best though is impossible to top.
  9. IC: The perfection of the Skip Drive had sent the Dominions government into overdrive, working to construct a vehicle to begin interstellar colonization. OOC: Construction began on Colony Wheel; Will be completed on May 9th.
  10. IC: "Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet," Kethrey said, shooting Alfon a tired grin. The Toa of Lightnings constant optimism was one thing about the world that hadn't been turned on its' head, and that was the first reassurance Kethrye had that things would turn out better in the end, however bleak they looked in the meantime. "We still have to investigate Nokama's murder and meet back with the others in Ga-Koro, but I promise as soon that's down we'll return home. Get things fixed. Plan our next moves. "To abandon it would be to let Makuta win, after all, and that's one victory I don't think we'll let him take."
  11. The old wiki that's edited even less then the new one.
  12. Voyager, from what I've watched, is essentially watered down TNG with less interesting characters, more techno-babble and a psychopathic madwomen for a captain. It's not a bad show, not really, but neither is it a good one.
  13. IC: Feongulf ~ "And this makes you different from all the other madmen using wishs of "order" as a smokescreen for personal gain how?" I said, limping along beside the bulky Toa of Gravity, my first meeting with the Dreamer springing to mind. "Order" was a myth created to keep people from killing each other over scraps of bread, but even if people's faith in the fiction made it into reality, bestial chaos always lurked beneath the surface. "You have a good excuse, but is that all it is?" On the other hand, anyone this informed's probably someone good to keep on the good side of, I thought. Not as if I have anything better to do, not now. "And if you are honest," I continued, sighing. "How are the two of us alone going to change anything? The Followers of Makuta serve the one with the greatest power, and that's certainly not me."
  14. Hey, the wiki's pretty out of date at this point and only a small number of people are still editing it, so I'd just like to point anyone unaware of it here and ask everyone to try and lend a hand, if we chip in perhaps it could become a useful reference again.
  15. IC: "Indeed" Kethrye said with a nod, beginning to stepping forward in the direction of the bank. "Let's get everyone together and follow his advice, shall we?"
  16. IC: Kotaran followed Captain Iraira through the batted remains of the door, broadsword glinting in his hands, masked face darkened in reverse of his usual lightheartedness The Arete (They were undeserving of the name Toa). had deceived, cheated and murdered his fellow villagers, and by the oaths he had taken as a guardsmen they, and any of their allies, would not go unpunished.
  17. *Raises hand.* Haven't posted as him for a while, though.
  18. IC: The Drekian ambassador nodded, raising the ends of his lips in a small, grateful grin. "We will be doing the same, and I'm sure both of our empires will profit greatly from these connections. Is there anything else you'd like to discuss?"
  19. Look on the bright side, you has less reminders that you're one year closer to dying! (But seriously, happy birthday.).
  20. I'm fairly certain the advancement gives you one at start, but anyone can built one.Same thing with the space elevator perk.
  21. IC: "Ambassador Gestur Akseli, at your service," Gesture hissed, bowing his head in greeting. "I have came on behalf of our Emperor Aral II, who seeks solidify bonds of friendship between our great peoples." Pausing, he punched a quick command into his computer console. "As a gesture of goodwill, we are transmitting you a complete telemetric map of our system, and hope for you to do the same for the sake of mutual learning and scientific advancement."
  22. IC: Today was the day they would change the world. The tiny vessel flew through the void, ancient light from distant balls of incandescent gas being the only thing in from Joutoma grew distant behind, the Dominion spacestation in the process of becoming a space elevator's counter where their journey began shrinking to a mere dot on a speck of earth rolling though space. Correction, though Gestur Akseli, nervously gazing from the pilots of the ship seated in front of him, then out at the vast expanse of stars, and finally back the scientific papers and diagrams flapping upward in the freefall environment, his four clawed hands barely enough to keep them from flying about the cabin.Today is the day we change the worlds. To think, contact with other sapient species, Drekian face to cyclopian Osalieli face, instead of over hyperwave ansible with 18 days before they even received the message, much less replied. And he was the one chosen to lead the mission. Him! A junior diplomatic officer who would have been happy to get a post on some small backwater planet on the homeworld, much less being the one to make firstish contact.: Getting ahead of yourself, aren't you? Gestur though, flicking his tong into the slightly stale tasting air of the ship that breathed deeply off. by the time he had composed himself the scoutcraft had reached space deep enough to activated the jump. The commander turned to his pilot and have the order to prepare for launch, the subordinate replying with the customary words of rocket crew member, modified for their new context. Gestur might have been fascinated by the culture evolution, if he had been less rapped up in giddy excitement. There is a small chance we'll all end up as base element scattered across the universe, after all. Bit only a small one! The commander swiveled his chair to face the scientist. "Sir?" Gestur grinned. "Yes, we're clear of any gravity fields strong enough to deter us, no reason to keep on waiting." Nodding, the commander turned back to his control panel, punching in the coordinate for System-54. "Engage" There was no indication that anything had changed apart from the stars visible through the viewscreen, but in a moment the ship had spun around to bring the supergiant star of the system they had arrived at the edge of. The sensors confirmed that yes, the first manned test of faster then light travel was a success. "Open an hyperwave link with Ele'gai," Gestur ordered. "Today, we make history!"
