  1. you can read all the comics online. BS01 has the links to them on the individual pages for each comic - here's the directory. also, there were "graphic novels" published that were compilations of the comics (as well as including a few new ones) but you can't find them in stores anymore; you have to buy from Amazon or something similar.
  2. i agree that it'd be great to have mask packs back, but since Lego hasn't said a single word about them, i think it's safe to assume that there won't be any.
  3. your point being? its decided. pizza cutter naho is canon. this is the only one that will be canonized, everyone go home
  4. true, but imo it's more air than stone/sand based. a G1 Toa of Air could have created a sandstorm. it really is, tbh. "jungle" could be any number of things - actual plant control, or maybe just air powers with a new name? who knows at this point. should be interesting to see.
  5. Primo. anyone else remember those? weird giant blocks that weren't compatible with other Lego pieces.
  6. i was under the impression that both Lewa and Pohatu have some air-based powers now. is that wrong?
  7. i'm pretty sure everyone here is aware of that. if you could elaborate on what you mean by this, though...?
  8. You thought 2007's underwater theme was dull? I felt that way about Voya Nui, but maybe I don't know enough about 2006 to have an accurate opinion. i didn't really keep up to date on the 2007 story, so i probably have a skewed perception of it. but yeah - just didn't seem as imaginative as previous locations.
  9. i honestly love all of the environments the Bionicle story passed through; though 2001-06's are my favourites. after 2006 they did seem to get somewhat duller, but Mata Nui, Metru Nui, and Voya Nui all had great atmospheres and aesthetics.
  10. i don't think Teridax would have let it happen; not permanently at least. he would have stepped in somehow, because he needed the Toa Mata/Nuva to succeed in reawakening Mata Nui. either he would have given them a "miracle" and let them think they won, or he would have awoken them after the Bohrok had finished their job.
  11. except the whole point of the game is that you're trying to ward off the jumpscares, so there's a bit more to it than that. as for the MLP thing, even though i'm not really a fan i can definitely see how it could work. might make for some pretty nice sets. it would never happen, though, as MLP is owned by a rival toy manufacturer (Hasbro).
  12. i voted no, but of course, knowing the people who do this kind of thing, they'll go ahead and canonize them anyway. i'm really getting tired of this.
  13. my point exactly. of course, lots of people have been saying this for years, but somehow no one listens. and @ET: well, that's disappointing. oh well. hopefully the canonizers will sate their hunger sooner or later.
  14. in kit's blog entry on canonization i semi-jokingly proposed an all-out ban on modifications to the G1 canon effective january 1st, 2015 but could we actually do that? could we at least attempt to? G2 has technically already begun, so there's really no need to make further retroactive canonizations, especially not after 2014 ends anyone else on board with this? anyone willing to make the suggestion to Greg? i'm sure he's as tired of this as many of the fans are

  16. the simple reason is that Lego sets are never released during the Christmas season. Lego just doesn't really do seasonal releases; they kind of stick to their own schedule and put out the occasional holiday-themed set. couldn't say why, but that's how it is. besides, even though Lego themselves aren't releasing the sets in their stores until 2015, a number of retail stores nearly always put them out mid-December.
  17. i hate to break it to you, but that's unfortunately how it is for just about everything.
  18. "fluffy" doesn't necessarily mean "cute". i'm no expert, but i'm fairly certain some feathered dinosaurs used their feathers as a means of intimidation.
  19. Is there also a possibility that it came from a bootleg set? i doubt it. bootleg sets usually directly copy Lego's molds.
  20. yeah, i suspect it's a prototype. if it were the same shape as the others i'd say misprint, but since it's clearly not the same mold it's likely a prototype that accidentally made its way into a set.
  21. by "Venom Eel" do you mean a squid? or literally a venom eel? because those were never released in set form. it would help if you had a picture.
  22. do you mean that in a positive or negative way?
  23. it's a prototype. TLH and DeeVee own the only two in existence (unless i'm wrong and there's only one? TLH please confirm/deny) Technically it's impossible to say whether they're the only two that exist, but DeeVee and TLH each have one. I'm pretty sure that a BZP member whose name I forgot but who is neither DeeVee nor TLH bought one off Bricklink a number of years ago along with another silver Metru Kanohi (I think it was a Great Mahiki), but it's possible that's the one that made its way to TLH or DeeVee. Maybe TLH can shed some light on whether there's a third? -Letagi according to the rare items thread in B/S/T, DeeVee got his from someone who bought it off Bricklink - that's probably the person you mentioned.
  24. are you doing this to me on purpose why do you say that? as it happens, the Brontosaurus is my favourite dinosaur too
