  1. my pieces are in desperate need of sorting and then i plan on using them for MOCs. i do rebuild a few sets every now and then, though, just for the nostalgia kick.
  2. it's not bad for Lego at all - i fail to see how it could be. people have been custom molding Lego-compatible pieces for years, even before 3D printing was around, and as far as i know no one's made a peep...well, there are purist builders who complain about it, of course, but those are just the fans.
  3. Speaking of Walmart, have you guys noticed Wal*Mart doesn't sell Hero Factory at all? Do you think this will carry over to Bionicle: as in they won't sell Bionicle? I'm curious...as I haven't seen a lego constraction set at Wal*Mart since the Ordeal of Fire Wave... And just to be clear, I've checked Wal*Marts in about 5 cities that are fairly distant from each other and no constraction sets...so this appears to be a thing (Wal*Mart's lack of HF)... i've noticed the same thing, actually. it's really just been for the last few waves of HF - the reason being that HF hasn't been selling hugely well anywhere, so stores (except of course for Lego stores) don't restock it once it's sold out. you can bet that they'll be selling Bionicle, though.
  4. uh let's see here for official stuff: two each of both the orange and gold Vahi TNGM two Disks of Time chrome Hau (Rua) Ultimate Dume Kraahkan trans-clear sparkly Avohkii, if that counts [misprint] brown Noble Matatu aaaand then the prototypes: black/dark red Vastus scythe trans-black/dark red Strakk helmet white/dark blue Miru white/trans-aqua Carapar shell and probably one more that i forget
  5. i should probably get around to posting my MOCs oops

  6. i suspect the main reason is that making sets small enough to be priced under $10 is nearly impossible with CCBS. that, and Lego hasn't made very many $<10 sets in the last few years at all. economy, etc, etc. playability is also an issue; the old impulse sets from G1 were nice, but far less articulated than their larger counterparts.
  7. i voted Breakout for best and Ordeal of Fire for worst. Brain Attack was a close second for best, but Breakout had a few sets with really fantastic colour schemes/pieces. as for Ordeal of Fire, the repetitiveness of the colours in the villain sets just didn't sit well with me.
  8. went with entry 5. has the kind of elegant simplicity that i love. 4 almost got my vote for the same reason, but the colours didn't look right to me for some reason.
  9. yeah, officially, the sets will be released on January 1st. Lego stores never put out sets before the release date. i've found that Walmart and Toys R Us usually have them out mid-December, though.
  10. i'd much rather have online content (short animations, games) than a full TV show, and i doubt Lego has any plans to make one. they already have two lines that are heavily tied into TV shows, and i think they know better than to attempt it with Bionicle. on the other hand, i could definitely see them doing a movie if G2 proves successful.
  11. i usually either start with a general image in my head, or just start throwing stuff together from a simple idea and come up with the design as i go. i find that worrying about exactly what i want it to look like always makes me less satisfied with the final product. (also i'm pretty sure this belongs in Bionicle Discussion)
  12. i've always been partial to shapeshifting. (also i think this belongs in S&T)

    i cry every time

evidently you've never heard of the Rule of Cool
  14. their first song was literally titled "Creeping In My Soul". its a good song but still
  15. oh, yeah, that's a really good point - one i'm not sure how i overlooked, heh. i love Cryoshell to death, but their music was definitely originally designed to fit the Darker And Edgier 2006+ Bionicle so. yeah that'd be waaaay out of place in G2. here's hoping they bring something like the old 2001 music back; that'd be really nice.
  16. i doubt they would, but given that they did a song for Hero Factory, i can't say for sure. i feel like they probably would want to leave their ties to Lego behind for any future projects, although maybe i'm just projecting my own desires onto them.
  17. it's been a year or so since i got a Bionicle set - my Brickfair haul was 100% System this year. pretty sure the last one i picked up was the Thornatus, though; back in August '13.

"hey cool a huge new building contest with a two-month entry period ive got plenty of time to build something awesome for this" [one month later] "alright ok wow its been a month still got a month to go, no worries, i got this, plenty of time" [two weeks later] "alright ive got a week to do this before i go visit family, plenty of free time before then though ill get it done" [one week later] "maybe i can build this in one night" [one day before deadline] "maybe i can use a moc i havent photographed yet"
  19. most likely; otherwise the differences between the Kadin and Miru would become even smaller. afraid i don't have an answer for your main question, though.
  20. better yet, why not have all six tribes be mixed-gender? (of course this is all without canon confirmation....)
  21. so i'm assuming that if there's biological reproduction, that means that either the Protectors' gender ratio is 1:1 or that there's some serious gayness (and transness) abound ....or possibly both
