  1. On it! I've already been using it to complete several BIONICLE models.
  2. Do those count as prototypes?
  3. Well, they're still listed on sites like Bricklink and Brickset among released sets, constructable from pre-existing parts and are in no way unreleased like the Sand Tarakava or Matoran Sphere carrying vehicle. ...I don't know, I personally think we should still list them.
  4. "It is the rarest and most valuable piece of LEGO ever made." I don't know, I think there were a bunch of LEGO pieces there was only produced one of like specifically numbered tiles but, prove me if I'm wrong (BrickTsar has a video on it).
  5. Oh man, that is so cool that someone was actually able to try it out. Thanks a bunch!
  6. Um, I remember getting a collection with mostly complete Roodaka, Krekka, Dume/Nivawk, Nidhikki, Morak, Black Vahki, White Vahki (new to me) as well as spares of Takanuva/Ussani, Defilak, Dekar, Matoro Inika, Kongu Inika, Vezok, Thok, Nuvhok, Green Vahki, Blue Vahki and other parts, like a ton of Toa Mata/Nuva parts on eBay for £20 + £4 shipping.
  7. I think the only polybags not released (as in, no image of them as physical, actual sets exist) were Kraatu, the two 2006 playset ones, Good Guy 07 and all of the 2008 ones. By the way, Bricklink lists the "Piraka & Catapult" set as 2007... Should this be ignored?
  8. That'll be interesting then. Is it fair to count unreleased sets of the Kraatu and other promos, or does that just imply Bricklink-'d sets count for a checklist of one's own?
  9. I've got an idea: the suggestion was that the Kraatu was a puppet of the Metru Nui Matoran for recreation, and another one was that the '06 Good Guy and Disney Bad Guy were puppets the Matoran were using for a show. Considering the later two come from 2006, where the Matoran are currently in Metru Nui, could it be assumed all the puppets come from Metru Nui, one time period or another? EDIT: Idea! Kraatu represents the Rahi, Bad Guy represents Teridax and Good Guy represents either Mata Nui or the Toa!
  10. That may have just been a mistake, but the side view is clearly very different than that of a Kiril.
  11. Oh yeah, you've got me there. I think I might MOC myself that Matoran actually. I've heard on the LEGO wikias that Greg Farshtey indeed suggested that the Kraatu could have been a puppet the Matoran of Metru Nui used for recreation. As for '06 Good Guy and Orange Piraka Bad Guy, there's this old news report that states: "We were all wondering who these guys are and what their role in the story is. The official word is that these sets are an exclusive European promo and were not passed by Greg for inclusion in the Bionicle mythos. So the official stance is 'imagine they are puppets in a show the Matoran are putting on,' as Swiftone puts it." And we can practically add in the other Piraka Bad Guy of that year too, since they're essentially the same set. Was there anything else said on the puppetry here? Do you think, just for fun, '08 Good Guy could be the Matoran version of Lesovikk? '08 Good Guy could also be Matoran Nidhiki. And I can see the Bad Guys as puppets. That would make sense. Would you say the builds these sets have make them look "puppet-ish"?

  13. Does Bricklink have a way of identifying between the Copper masks?
  14. Funny, I actually had that idea a while back. Then I thought about how I could change it to look more like him. Wow, it does. I was just thinking of using the incorrect Kiril or Antroz's flight form mask.
  15. Neat, but one of those LEGO Alarm clocks was actually very useful for mask collecting? Huh. Seeing them officially acknowledged makes me want to get the misprints... Are we still going to keep at least one of the "different" Toa Metru/Voyatoran masks? (Incidentally, I picked up a Rau in a order of Bionicles and am wondering if it's Dalu's)
  16. Yup. Granted, they aren't really "true" Rhotuka, with their fixed rotary piece. Also, they seem to have their own four-digit item numbers...
  17. Yeah, I've asked Greg about them and what they could be, but he said he had no plans to canonize every promotional set ever He also said that if a set already had a name and identity he wasn't going to canonise it as something else, and on some talk of what the Squid Launcher Function could be, he said he wasn't very familiar with it.
  18. The prototype also gives you a perfect idea where Hahli's "tubes mustache" came from.
  19. That's quite interesting. Thanks for submitting that information on Hahli! Makes me wonder if they went back to these Inika prototypes when designing the Mahri. Just look at prototpye Inika and Mahri Jaller. Also, I think that might be a prototype squid launcher. And was this game supposed to be released in 2005, meaning we'd have 2007 things that early?
  20. I've heard the whole "they're puppets" reasoning before, I just wonder if it was canon or not.
  21. ...What would they be? Here are some ideas I have: Kraatu - A Gafna or Hydruka of some sort. Good Guy - The maskless version of the Ta-Matoran that saved Hahli in the first 2007 comic. He's red, a similar build, and not only is he holding a fire weapon, he also has a weapon in the set image that looks kind of like his right hand. Bad Guys - Skakdi Nightmares like Irnakk. QUICK Bad Guys - Alternate Rahaga of some kind. QUICK Good Guys - Hypothetical Matoran Hordika (which may have been said to potentially exist by Greg?) 07 Good Guy - A Matoran of some kind 08 Good Guy - Nidhiki as a Matoran. 08 Bad Guy - A Fenrakk Spider of some kind. What are your ideas?
  22. They seem to have Technic pin holes and Kanoka/Rhotuka like pieces. Do they count as actual LEGO/Bionicle pieces?
