Aaaaalright then, might have to get my slightly rusted gears in motion for this contest. Building a contest-worthy mech in 2 days? Yeh alright let's do it.

Just checking - no size restrictions right? Like I mean I'm not gonna make a human-sized MOC but I also want to make sure that I don't get disqualified for something as small as that. And it can be in any form? I'm planning on a vaguely humanoid MOC but perhaps with a few more legs or something.

Gonna be embarrassing if I can't make the deadline but it's worth a shot.

There's no size limits on your entry, but there's no subsidies for shipping it, either.

It needs to be pretty clearly humanoid. Adding a bunch of legs wouldn't be okay.

Sweet, got it. Thanks a bunch!

wooh, i'm on YGOpro too! I go by the name Shrek most oftenRight now I'm running a Coelacanth deck that has the potential for rank 8/9 xyzs as well as high-level synchrosas far as watching the show, i haven't really watched it tbhif anyone's ever up for a duel just inbox me and i'll be there

ohhh what rank 8/9's do you run? Have you ever managed to summon (gasp) Heart-eartH dragon?

yep! that's one of the ones i run and summon on a regular basisi also use dyson sphere, felgrand the divine dragon soldier and hieratic sun dragon overlord of heliopolisbasically the strategy is to get lemuria on the field then use coelacanth to summon 4 level 4 or lower fish from the deck, then activate lemuria to make them level 8/9 (depending on whether they were level 3 or 4 to begin with) and BAM - insta heart-earthit's fairly satisfying to say the least :')

  5. sup everyoneboy am i glad to have finished something finally9022896630_5685df12f8_z.jpg<<click pic for gallery>>all in all this one was made during a burst of MOCing inspiration stemming from just having watched Evangelion, but it is in no way meant to represent any one of the Eva units. also note: i accidentally got rid of 90% of my hollow ball joints by giving them away in a MOC made as a present for a friend a few months back :( c&c appreciated as always

  6. totally rad, broobviously the head is just the absolute best thing about this MOC, but hey the rest of it is pretty neat tooi've always admired the way you manage to slip tubing into gaps to make it more filled in and this one is no exceptioncongrats on tbb ; )

  7. ooohhhhhh god yes, that's a crazy good vissy remake right thereseriously i'm in awe of that head, nice shaping all round (especially with the mahri blades)i also like the fact you kept the legs relatively simple, i think if you made them any beefier it would've detracted from the visorak-ness of the MOC tbh

  8. Oh hey, this is pretty decent!First of all, I'm totally diggin' the torso. The way it connects to the waist looks very robotic, as do the shoulders. The head-cannon-dealie is nice too, although if at all possible I would try moving the trans-orange plate back a little bit. From what I can see, the arms are okay. Nothing too special about them, that's for sure, but they work. I actually kinda like how you kept the traditional mata-hand design :)Now, for the feet. I see what you mean about them being the slackest point of the MOC, and they would certainly look awkward in a lot of other poses. I would scrap the legs altogether, as the thighs seem rather odd anyway. Some ideas might be to use some of those conical pieces like on the arms for the thighs, and maybe do some digitigrade legs (see here). Y'know, something not too lanky, but still on the digitigrade-side of things. Maybe try something like I did on F33-X2 (check the legs on this thing)?Anyway, I really like what you've got here. With a little bit of work on those legs you can make this MOC even better! Good job all round.

  9. Hello everyone! Sorry for being incredibly inactive here, I just get very lazy and very busy very often :/Anyways, here's something I cooked up for the 2012 Bio-Cup over at MOCpages, for the first round. My opponent is Toa Konas, and the category was 'Olympic Toa/Hero'. I then spent a couple of hours googling Olympians of different countries and their colours and whatnot, until I stumbled upon this totally rad dude called Gerd Kanter - a discus-thrower from Estonia.

To be honest I'm not at all pleased with this MOC. It's been a while since I built my last standard humanoid, and I now remember why: I hate doing so.

I hope you like it, regardless. Please enjoy!

  10. Ooh, very nice. I have to say, this is probably the best MoC/Revamp I've seen in a while. I like how you fixed up the colour scheme to include more of that orangey-yellow colour, it really helps to complete the Moc...And I really like the digitigrade stance it has going on there. One qualm on those legs, though, the 'foot' area just seems way too small for me. You have that knee-armour part of the inika leg touching the ground, and behind it nothing but the y-hand piece. It just seems like it wouldn't have good balance to me...but not having the Moc in real life, I can't be sure. One other, smaller qualm is the arms-nothing about the build, really, but the connection to the body. The way you have the Bordahk somewhat hunched over, the arms look like they're in a natural position...but I feel that if you had the Bordahk stand up straight, the arms would seem much too low. And, finally, my smallest problem (no possible pun intended)-the body looks a bit thin for my tastes, but, like the other problems, it doesn't really matter that much. The knees I really like, I have to say. The way you bulked them up and added armour just looks to me like they would be more likely to withstand the shock of running and jumping around buildings, chasing recalictrant Matoran, fighting Rahi, or attempting to capture Toa and Dark Hunters. You really bulked up everything, to tell the truth. It just portrays a meaner, grittier appearance which I really like, compared to the originals.I like how you set up the armour for the shoulders, how they jut out slightly. Again, all the more protection for when you're fighting Rahi/Toa/Dark Hunters. I don't have any problems with the lego piece, except for how angular it is compared to the rounded-off edges of the Bionicle pieces. Other than that, it really helps to complete the armour there. The tubes you have going for the arms and legs, aah...Pneumatically powered Rahkshi. Makes it seem closer to the real world, and what I might expect of a Robot, even in Bionicle. I really, really like those more than the 2006 and on pistons...the cables/flexible tubes just fit more, in my mind.I wonder, looking from the back, does this Vahki still have mechanical function for the arms? I'm unwilling to believe that gear is there just for show, because I really like Mocs that have mechanical function these days. One of the things I like most about this revamp is that you used the Kopaka Mata-style swords for the staves. I've always been a fan of that piece, and it's really nice to see it used in something like this.Another thing I love is that you kept the original head and top body piece for connection...I've seen Vahki revamps before that did away with those, to fit moreso with what the creator had in mind. This, however, fits perfectly. Especially with how it is shown in your opening pose...looks like the Bordahk just disconnected from the power station, and is ready to run out and jail something.I like that. cool.pngOverall, even with what small problems I thought of, I give this a 10/10. Keep Mocing, Fee.(...This is the longest review post I've made in years...)
Wow... I... I don't think I've ever received a review this long before! Thankyou firstly for taking the time to do so, and secondly for making some very valid points about its construction :DI totally agree with you that the 'foot' area is very small. I would really love to find a way to fix that problem with the technic socket-joint on the back, but as for now it was really the only option if I were to go for stability. And yes, it is extremely stable ;PYou're also right about the shoulders. I really only kept them like that because I liked the appearance of them 'melding' into the body, casting away any thoughts of poseability. Thankyou for all the positive feedback as well :)
Nice. I especially like the legs and the orange accents.
    Thanks :D
  11. It's awesome. I don't think it needs improvement of any sort. Color scheme is good and overall design is fantastic, especially legs and arms. Only con, those LEGO plates. I don't like very much when "regular" LEGO and BIONICLE pieces are mixed. However, it's a cool revamp and I'd give it a 9/10.

Thankyou! I wasn't too sure whether or not to add those system tiles, but I guess they just served to cover up some ugly gaps.

Amazing revamp, this is what vahki should have looked like, IMO.Full of nice touches, and excellent choice of weapons.I enjoyed.-Dwanny

    Thanks :)

Hello Fee (Kinda still calling Felix :P),I have a feeling you go on to the next round for sure. I've came to a liking the torso a lot. The orange tubes going around the torso is just a mini touch, but I think it contributes a lot to the over all look of the Moc. The ratio of navy(?) to orange is perfectly executed. I like combo of those two colors. I love the design of those legs. From the front, it looks like the feet have no support at all. When you look from the back, you can see wht makes it stand up. Those arms are pretty similar to the feet, which I like a lot. Amazing work Fee! :) Hope you get enough from the judges to move on.~Gravity

Hahaha, I had a feeling a fair few wouldn't be able to adjust to the name change... ;)But thankyou! I'm glad someone can see the little touches (like having the arms be similar to the legs) and appreciate them - they don't just happen by chance y'know. I reckon I'll move on to the next round :)

This is pretty cool. Your choices of pieces for this are really nice and the staffs are nicely done. My only complaint is that the knees are a bit big. Other than that, I have no other complaints since this is so awesome.

Thankyou! I personally thought the knees were accentuated finely, but I guess they may be a bit on the large side ;)

This is epic. It looks like a vahki that would hold the disk of time.

    Thanks!
  12. Heeeey everybody.

So I've been working on this Vahki Bordakh revamp for about a week now, and honestly it's still very sketchy and 'unfinished' if you like. Having said that, I don't think I could have improved it much more given the time I've got to MOC these days... so please, PLEASE enjoy it

:) There's so much pleading here it's almost an outright command: enjoy.

Something interesting to note is that Bordakh's colour scheme is very much similar to F33-X2's, my self-Mech. So I guess you could call Bordakh my 'patron Vahki'? Might catch on

  13. dat head, how u do dees dolanThis makes me feel so old that the newest part I recognize is that new hand piece that was introduced in 2004. Far as I know, you made the rest of the pieces yourself. 0/10 use Lego's pieces or don't even build it.

Even though you didn't make the pieces yourself I have to agree with JC. The new parts makes it very easy to moc and therefor I think it looks cheap. 3/10
Hahaha, you guys made me laugh. So much. :')As much as I appreciate a bit of negativity on my opponent's MOC, accusing him of making his own parts is ridiculous - the man couldn't do it if he tried! I also agree that the new parts make it 'easy' to MOC, but that's really only if you're using the basic HF bone structure, something this MOC does not do. So please, have a bit of respect for the time and effort required to successfully incorporate HF shells into a sturdy and solid MOC.You're welcome, LO. <333You already know my thoughts on this one, but it's obviously gotta be pretty great to make it to front page. So I'll take this as an omen that you will beat me in round 1... whether I like it or not. Round 2 shall be a different story though ;)-FtC
  14. It's big, yes. And the overall shape is nice, yes.But I'm going to have to shoot it down on the colour scheme and flow of parts. While going for a completely random colour scheme is a great idea (heck, I'm working on a MOC like that at the moment) I think that having absolutely no order to where the colours are placed makes it look like a rushed job. I'm mainly talking about the black here. I'd suggest choosing either black or light grey, not both - yes legs, I'm lookin' at YOU.Onto the build - what's going on with the arms and legs? The body is nicely compact and solid, whereas the limbs look like they've had pieces torn out of them. I'm not really sure why those Mata arms are sticking out of his gun arm like that, I'd try and build them in closer to the arms itself instead of leaving them dangling out like loose skin. The hands could be a lot bigger, I don't understand why you didn't stick with the MOC's obvious theme of ball-joints and use Metru-toran limbs or Hordika necks. The legs look very unfinished around the Mata torsos, and I'm sure you could cover up the gap with some more pieces (perhaps stemming from the Technic hands just above the torsos?).Also do us a favour and put some ball-joints in those empty sockets, they look rather lonely :(Cool figure, but it looks very much like a WIP and not a finished MOC. Give it a clean up (if you want to take some advice) and it could look freaking awesome.-FtC

  15. Aww, it's so cuute :3I really like the simplicity. It reminds me of some of the smaller MOCs I used to do :PWhat would be nice to see would be some antennae, if possible. I'm pretty sure if you stick a t-bar in the axle-hole on the head you could attach some fingers (which I always find useful for attaching thingoes). Maybe some minifig swords or something would work? Idk.But heehee, good job. Also, I can't tell what colour those Bohrok-Kal shields are. Where did you get them? :o-FtC

My entry for round 1 against Lord Oblivion in our current

MOC-off. I decided to go with a nimble, agile bot that was kind of reminiscent of a pixie or fairy. Lotsa fun!

Anyway, I hope you guys appreciate it. The arms are a fusion of those on my two F33 MOCs that you may have seen, jsyk.

    C&C muchly appreciated!
